Costume Policy - Arlington
Getting super mixed answers searching online so if anyone could clarify that would be greatly appreciated!
I know the park policy says online: Costumes, costume masks, face coverings, SFX makeup, or any attire intended to conceal a guest's identity are prohibited during Fright Fest." My friends and I were thinking of going as bald characters, Gru, Mr Clean, Pitbull, and Voldemort. Are those too identity concealing or..? I just dont want us to go spend the money on tickets and parking just to be denied entry.

TRIP REPORT Cedar Point annoyance from 1st time visit
My home park is Great America.
I decided to visit Cedar Point this year for the first time.
Since my standards/expectations are based on my home park experiences, I was surprised and somewhat bothered by the inconsistent ride practices Cedar Point had in place.
Overall, Cedar Point was a great park that I will visit again.
I rode every coaster except for 1 due to it being closed for the weekend.
I liked the food plan options.
I enjoyed their halloweekends decorations and scare zones.
To set up the standard, Great America has a strict rule about leaving bags and drink plan cups at the bins/cup holders setup at all the ride stations. Depending on your footwear, you may need to leave those at the bins too.
Cedar Point was not setup the same way.
Some ride entrances had an employee. Some just watched you walk through, some would say something to you.
Some ride entrances had no employee.
TT2, sirens curse, steel vengeance, you need to leave all personal items in free use lockers located inside ride line. Thats great, except for the size of the lockers. You cant place drink plan cups inside, nor is there a designated place to stage them. Unless you empty the cup first so it can lay on its side.
At least for TT2, the lockers arent inside the ride line itself so you can pay to use a larger locker. Sirens curse and steel vengeance, I had no idea until I got through the line.
Depending on the ride, they do have bins setup at the ride station. Gatekeeper, that bin is only used for shoes and nothing else, according to the operator on the mic.
Depending on the ride, long strap bags must be worn on while on the ride. The gatekeeper ride entrance employee told me I had to keep my sling bag with me on the ride but I couldn't bring my drink cup with me. I specifically questioned the bag being on the ride, and they said it was fine but the drink cup shall not pass.
I ended up paying for 2 lockers over the weekend because of being told I can't bring my sling bag or my drink cup through the lines.
The lack of communication about bags and drink cups was what I was bothered by.

QUESTION Costumes During Fright Fest
To those who have been to the New England MA location during Fright Fest. Me and my group plan on wearing costumes, which I emailed about and they said it was fine as long as no masks, face paint, or weapon type accessories.
My costume this year is Nick Wilde from Zootopia and I usually add a little makeup on my nose to make it look like a fox nose.
Would this be okay? I know itâs makeup, but itâs not covering my face or anything.
Same with my fox ears. I wouldnât wear during rides or anything, but just while walking around, should this also be okay?

First time Mini Trip Report - Kings Dominion
Had business this week in Richmond so decided to hit up Kings Dominion this past Sunday. First time there.
I'm mostly a Great Adventure person as I grew up in NY and live in NJ now. Just started getting back into coasters after a drought from like 2012 - 2023 (kids)
El Toro is my all-time #1.
Got there around 530 so I got to experience it a little before the haunt and afterwards. The entire entranceway and main Street section is quite nice and well taken care of. I feel like overall you can tell this park didn't experience a decade of neglect that Great Adventure did (although the latter is improving greatly).
Once dark hit, the Haunt experience was awesome. The park felt alive although id never call it crowded. Walked the whole park. Kinda sad Grizzly and FoF were closed.
I only had a few hours so I could only do a few rides and eat quick.
I headed right for the big boy Pantherian when I arrived. I heard so much about this ride from all of the YouTubers and people on here. Pretty empty queue and basically a walk on. I went right for the back row and I got to ride it with another random single from I think NC.
Disclaimer. It was cold out, but after 6pm, so it was running all day. I was also very well hydrated drinking around 30 ounces of water on my 5 hour drive.
What a great lift hill and first drop. I did not gray out on the first turn like many people too. Felt my vision go slightly dark but I feel it was more the wind closing my eyes a little. I'll gray out on Nitros helix if I'm dehydrated so I know the experience.
I did not love those S bends. I felt my neck and back crack on a couple of them. Not painful and the restraints were fine. That second airtime hill trims so hard and it really took away from the experience. I get that it has to but it's still the design. I do love that it immediately picks up speed regardless for the final turns and sbend. I'm a tall guy and my sneaker got stuck in the car and I almost sprained my ankle getting out.
It's also interesting they don't let you take a cell phone picture of your ride photo screen while they encourage it at Great Adventure.
Later in the night it was even colder and dark out, rode in the front. Definitely a different experience, but again, no gray out.
It's a good ride, but I don't see it making it into my top 5. Not enough airtime. Great sense of speed, but I'd rather a different layout like Superman in New England. I think that's a better Intamin speed machine. Maybe if it's hot outside it's better , but I couldn't help but be disappointed after hearing about it all these years. It was smooth but it felt like an Intamin.
I also rode Dominator afterwards which was fun. I definitely preferred it to Medusa.
I tried Rapterra, but they had to evac 2 trains in the station as the lead train seemed to get stuck as it was leaving. Decided to head for the second run on Pantherian instead.
I also ate at Firehouse BBQ which had some great pulled pork and waffle fries. Nice meal plan meal.
I used my prestige one time fast Lane on Twisted Timbers and it was my first RMC. I've ridden Jersey Devil many times, but that doesn't really count as an RMC.
Rode alone in the back row
Holy crap ...a new top 5 coaster has entered the fray. What a ride. First off, I will say that the shin restraint sucked in the station. All I could think of was how much they would hurt during the ride. To my delight I didn't notice them. My grab handle strap on my side was missing.
That whole thing was buttery smooth with some insane airtime. I loved each element and that dive roll at the beginning was amazing. I simply can't wait to try more RMCs now. I didn't think they'd be for me because I get rather nauseous on certain rides, but not this beast.
What a ride. I absolutely loved it.
I thought about going on again, but had all sorts of issues getting my locker open and the line for long. It took 20 minutes for a supervisor to help me but that's my fault I guess. It kept saying I was entering my code wrong or the color wrong, but I'm nearly certain it was correct. The staff was very nice. I especially liked William who was nice enough to keep apologizing for the wait for the supervisor. Great staff all of the rides for sure.
Overall, I'd definitely make a trip back with the family. It's a hike from me and it definitely doesn't have the best coaster lineup, but I may do a combo trip of Busch Gardens and KD next spring/summer.

QUESTION Question for Six Flags Employees About Ride Safety After the SFOG Incident
This question is specifically for current Six Flags employees, especially ride operators across all Six Flags parks. Since the tragic accident at Six Flags over Georgia, have there been any meetings or discussions with employees regarding ride safety and the importance of thoroughly checking restraints before dispatching trains? Has management addressed the incident at all or emphasized being extra vigilant when checking restraints and making sure all safety procedures are being followed? Iâm genuinely curious whether the incident has prompted any additional safety reminders, training, or changes in procedures at other Six Flags parks. Obviously, safety should ALWAYS be a priority regardless, but Iâm wondering if management has taken any additional steps following what happened at SFOG.

RIDE REVIEW Six Flags Great Adventure ⌠2026 Fright Fest Haunted Mazes
Went to Six Flags Great Adventure today that I planned for a birthday. Felt like I wasted a lot of money though with all of the rides down today. Lmao I wish they didnât even let me into the park because it was so ridiculous. With so many rides down, the wait times were even more packed than expected. But, made the best out of it with people I loved! The Flash is the best ride and we were able to get on that so, happy girl! We stayed for Fright Fest later in the evening and that made up for it. As huge horror fans; we had a BLAST! I wanted to rank the mazes in order from greatest to least and I wonder where you would put yours. Thank god we got the Haunted House Express Pass. That made this year so much more enjoyable.
- Jason: Blood Reign. 10/10. My group was terrified. I loved the actors. Loved the props. Had a great time and wanted to do it again. Felt very nicely executed and I wouldnât change a thing. I think this is perfect for Halloween and one of my favorite
- Conjuring. The first part is a bit boring lol but nicely done for fans of the franchise. Loved the sets and props and atmosphere. That huge Annabelle at the end was dope. I already knew what happened with the nun portrait and other small things from the previous year haunts but other than that very scary and I loved it! Enjoyed it a lot!
- Twisted Holidays. I love the pumpkin king so maybe Iâm bias but I was curious as well as scared during this walkthrough. I loved the sets, the designs, the props, the cast outfits, etc. I just wish I saw more actual cast. I donât know if it was just bad timing or what, but I expected to see actors in the 4th of July room, and I felt like a lot of space after that was also empty for my sisters and I. Would have been scarier with more people, but could have been bad timing of it all. Still was scared and impressed! Loved looking at everything.
- Asylum. I liked the actors in this one. We had a lot of fun with it. The line moved very fast and organized, unlike the others tonight. We ended with this and I was happy with it.
- Army Of The Dead. Iâm not sure why I just never really liked this one. It is cool, however, and the actors do get me a few times. Feels like a very classic haunted house. Itâs okay, just not amazing to me. Thereâs one empty room with two bad actors just kinda limping around the walls lmao my group was awkwardly laughing through it.
- Deadwood Cabin. We kind of casually walked through fast without and scares. Could have been just another poor timing thing, but not enough actors really doing stuff to get me going and nothing stood out to me. Not memorable.
- Big Top Terror. There was a big group in front of us that got all of the action early so we decided to give them a tad bit space and then there was like no actors whatsoever on us lol. Empty rooms literally. And the actors that we did see, like the two in the neon forest type room, were more awkward than scary. This one ranks low for me always. Iâm afraid of clowns too but I donât know why these clowns arenât scary.
- The Witchâs Reflection. At one point they just closed for x amount of time and never told anyone and I only found out when half the people in line were leaving after seveeralllllllllll minutes of the line not moving and someone showing me the ride on their phone saying âclosed.â We stayed and it started up again 10 minutes later. But then⌠we realized⌠we stayed for nothing. I hate these mirror mazes. Especially when youâre walking in single file with a large group yet again, the trickery of the mirrors just doesnât work. I canât find these actors scary, maybe this is for the children going through it.
- Final Destination. 0/0. I donât even know what that was. Yet again, maybe it was better for the people in front of me, because my group was stuck behind what felt like a large amount of people, so maybe I missed some of the catches. But I thought this would be a dumb idea to begin with because this concept just works better in film. No real scare actors except that woman in that no face slender man beat costume? LOL? I thought maybe we would feel like we were in a plane crash but lots of AI random plane crash videos you see in too many hallways??? I didnât think the âaccidentsâ were scary enough. The actors didnât really seem too hurt themselves. I donât remember the movies well, and I know the scenes of the âparanoidâ actors were nods to the franchise and the characters knowing and trying to avoid those deaths and make sense of it all etc, but it just wasnât scary at all. I was looking around bored like is this really it. This line was by far the biggest too. Had to be the most hyped. I wanted a fear and left just⌠kind of confused? And annoyed I waited so long for that? Definitely glad we started with Jason and not this.

Frieght fest
We went last Saturday 10/10 six flags Nj and it was so packed. It took us over an hour just to get into the parking lot. Then we had to walk from water park lot to main park. We got there and it was so packed. We have membership passes and we went all summer and never saw it that crowded before. We tried to do mazes and had to sign into another website to get a QR code.
After 3 hours of trying to do one maze or a coaster, we gave up and went to guest services. They sent us over to passport services. We were able to get our passes moved to tonight 10/18.
Now I am wondering is it worth going tonight? We have to go to passport services when we get there to get our passes. But I am now seeing last night so many rides were shut down due to the cold temps.
Is anyone going to tonight? Or have gone on a Sunday night before? This is our first freight fest season. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!!
