Is it just blobbin and it's fine? Should I do anything?

Edit: thank you everyone for your input and shedding light. I separated it from the rest and took a chunk to see if it bruised. It did not bruise and it was very fibrous (similar to lion's mane). The fact that it didn't bruise told me it wasn't my desired mushroom so I tossed it. Thanks again!

I want to start and I'm getting lost when it comes to necessary materials, air exchange, laminar flow hood, autoclave...

My flow hood has been stored away for a couple of years. I didn't take any precautions to ensure it would stay clean. How can I sterilize the face so I can start using it again?

Thought I messed up a few weeks back but I guess I got lucky. This was my first time growing Jack Frost. They came out way bigger than I imagined they would. Now I’m wondering how to fit them in my dehydrator. A few separated from the cluster they grew in together leaving a little bit of the center exposed. Any concerns of loss of potency?

First time growing these. Both inoculated 22 days ago, albeit I did mess up and rest them on the back side of the bag the first day or 2. Should I let them colonize a bit longer or am I ready to break and shake?

I've had this tub of tidal wave going for 5 weeks now and can't seem to get it to pin anywhere except the sides.

I'm using a North Spore Boomr Bin with Midwest Grow Kits grain spawn, CVG substrate, and horse manure booster. Cake is about 3-4" thick, temps stay around 72-75°F, and it's had passive FAE the whole time. I didn't use a casing layer.

The cake has been shrinking and there's metabolites as you'd expect. It's starting to turn yellowish from the Metabolites, but there's no weird smells.

I've tried fork tek on some spots that looked like overlay, wax paper over the cake, and increasing/decreasing FAE. Nothing has made a difference.

Any ideas?

I haven’t taken a trip in a couple of years but recently was able to get some P.E which I know are more potent. My main intention is to break the cycle of toxic thinking and my self worth and to be able to love myself again. I have been taking 7OH for the last few years which helped me to stop drinking alcohol. But I now want to shed that 7OH habit as well. Should I not take any the day I trip? Or is it ok to take a smaller amount of the 7OH. Planning to take 2g of the PE using the lemon tekking method. Any suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Found growing in a field (also found lib caps in the field) from what appeared to be shit. They have the same gelatinous pellicle as liberty caps which I'm pretty sure is unique to the psylocibe genus. They look almost identical to liberty caps but with a much wider cap which makes me think they're fimeteria. What species do you guys think they are? I'm in the peak district in England

Blue Meanie cubensis in 5lb grow bag, colonized quickly and well at 79 F. How critical to keep below 75 for fruiting and between 90 and 95% humidity? any wiggle room before it really matters?

Finally made it to this stage, and honestly, seeing these fruits makes all the effort feel worth it 😄🍄

I do have a couple of questions though, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people with more experience.

First, I noticed some darker/bruised-looking spots on a few of the caps. Does this look like normal bruising, or could something else be going on?

Also, after the first flush, should I lightly scrape the surface with a fork? The surface looks pretty heavily colonized to me, and I was wondering if that could be affecting pinning in some areas. There are a few spots where I’m not getting pins at all.

If you think there could be another reason for the uneven pinning, I’d really appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
