The outing
The Outing
(AKA “Not that there's anything wrong with that.”)
“The Outing” gave us a phrase that instantly changed the culture, opening up a new way of thinking about tolerance. It’s a landmark episode, studied to death for good reason.
Two details stand out to me:
First, Kramer’s sudden exit. When Kramer declares “the masquerade is over,” he makes a passionate case, yet the moment Jerry calmly reflects it back to him, Kramer simply leaves and returns to his apartment—no protest, no further argument. It's a curious retreat.
Second, the return of the shadow. At his mother’s bedside, George is exposed to yet another tantalizing sheet-shadow massage scene—this time homoerotic. I had heretofore² erased that image from my memory. George was mesmerized. He really ought to talk this over with Dana.

Rolling Stone Magazine had a reporter closely watch the Seinfeld finale being filmed. Here is that article.

Thanks to Seinfeld, generations to come will keep alive the song of Gordon Lightfoot. Kinda like Blazing Saddles is the only reason we still know about Hedy Lamar.

How could Kramer all 25 computers in minutes? Computers are usually wrapped in protective plastic and covers inside of those boxes. It'd take Kramer at least hours just to open the boxes and take out all the protective wrapping. Just saying. It's not realistic.

Why was Susan so worked up about the sponge being discontinued? Couldn’t she have just kept using the Flavman like she always did?
