Very vague, here. New branch director who has been in the role less than 6 months. Our old account manager was hired on as the client security coordinator. I am a new supervisor for the site, have been in the role less than a week.
With the AM gone, I have to fill his role while they're searching for another. My issue is - the old AM and I have been trying to get me access to the scheduling software for a month (putting me in as supervisor has been in the works for two months or more).
This wouldn't be so bad, except we're so short staffed that we basically only have one person who can work per shift. That is, if one person calls out, there is no one else with availability to work.
Now add that on top of the fact that by now, I'm scheduling people to work for call outs and other site operations, and it's not reflecting in their scheduling applications. Let me say that again, I'm telling officers to work when their schedule isn't reflecting when they should work. This is going to introduce a payroll issue if not corrected. So this means I have to call the director, tell them what I need in the schedule, and send them that information in an email. I'm playing telephone with peoples schedules and pay.
I have sent multiple, multiple communications to the branch director via text, email, call. I have special coverage I need to work tomorrow, that still isn't reflected. I'm going in when it's not scheduled. I've barely received any affirmation that the schedule will be corrected.
Now add in that we're the lowest paying contract in the branch. I feel like I'm one missed check away from folks refusing to show up because the schedule and pay isn't reflecting.
I don't know, I'm trying everything I can. I'm just venting. I'm sure I could be identified based on this post.
