Please post here if you have questions about your cat being a pure Savannah or not. This will keep these questions off of the main thread, and give us all a place to focus on this topic.
Thanks!

Adopted him from my coworker who described him as āsmallā. Turns out heās anything but, he weighs 13 pounds. He behaves alot differently than any other cat Ive owned, lots of energy, very vocal, very social, friends have described him as a panther lol.

Picked her up two days ago, sheās a F3! kept her to our bedroom for two days but sheās out in the living room now and made herself at home! Socialising with the kids and constantly grooming me and being up under my chin on my chest when sheās tired!
Any recommendations on harnesses for her size? Want her to get used to them early š

He caught and killed his wand toy. So I unclipped it (Da bird wand).
He is so proud.

This is my cat Loki. He's 6 months old and he is a Domesticated short hair that looks like a savannah, but is NOT. I rescued him from a shelter. I love him and all his chaos.
Also Question? Why on the shoulder's of some Savannah's are there not dots on the shoulder's/ neck area and some their are?

I've worked with caracals and servals for a couple years now and have absolutely fallen in love with servals. While i would never get a pure bred serval, savannah cats really have my heart.
I live in texas. As the laws currently stand, it defines serval or "any hybrid of such" as a dangerous animal and therefore need a permit to keep...
My question is does 20% serval count as a hybrid? 5%? 1%? I wanted to know if any of yall live in texas and have any insight or experience with this.

Leo loves to luxuriate on any surface of the house sporting a velvety texture. We humbly oblige his tastes.

Nyota will be a year old in a couple weeks and Kivuli is right at 5 months. Both are F3 girls.

The mischievous little Arthur is a five-month-old Savannah boy. He's cuddly, affectionate, and incredibly outgoing. He is deeply attached to me and another family member. However, as a true attention seeker, he happily interacts with strangers when I take him for a walk outside, though he does prefer adults to young children and large dogs who terrify him.
He has been on a raw diet since I rehomed him a couple of months ago. In fact, he will barely touch cooked food and completely ignores dry kibble, so I didn't actually need to transition him to raw feeding, which was my initial plan.

This is Cecil our 15 year-old F3.
When itās bedtime, he will get in my face and meow at me and demand attention, and then when I give it to him, he doesnāt want me to pet him. He just wants to groom me aggressively. Heāll start grooming me without end, alternating between licking aggressively and biting. Usually heās able to control himself and not break skin.
Iāve also learned which parts of my hand I can present to him because if I give him too fleshy a part his instincts kick in and he is more likely to bite seriously. For example, I present my fingers vertically to him instead of horizontally so his jaw canāt fit around my finger and close.
Very occasionally, if I get him overstimulated heāll bite like he means it Iāve had him bite me and then shake his head.
But this year, Iāve been to urgent care twice because he broke skin accidentally. To be clear these are very small punctures like the most recent time. (and before anyone says it yes I know this sounds like being in an abusive relationship. š )
Anyone else elseās cat do something similar?
I assume itās because heās an F3 and has much stronger prey drive. But other than being careful how I handle him I havenāt learned any tricks that really help.
Edit: Iām aware this is normal cat behavior, but this is significantly more often and aggressive (not in the mean sense in the enthusiastic sense) than any cat Iāve had in the past.
As in Iām legitimately worried that he will hurt me unintentionally. And I could need stitches.
