My family and I are moving to Highland Park in a couple weeks. We are having trouble getting information on public school enrollment and were told by SPPS that we just need to come to the placement office in person to enroll our kids (elementary age). We have sent in our enrollment forms, but have heard nothing. Any information from those who have gone through enrolling kids mid-year would be helpful! My questions are: Are we guaranteed to get into our neighborhood school mid-year? How long does the enrollment process take once they get our information in the system? Is there a way to find out which schools have space? Thank you in advance for your help!

Are there any Yoga and or Pilates studios in town that permit 14 year old students?

There's a great art museum in downtown St. Paul. If you haven't visited, I highly recommend putting it on your to do list.

I wanted to share a quick update as the month-long book drive comes to an end. Thanks to the incredible generosity of this community (including some awesome people right here on Reddit who reached out, upvoted, and contributed), we have gathered an amazing pile of books for young people! (There’s 2 more boxes I am yet to sort through so I left them out).

Hey guys! Does anyone know why all of a sudden i’m getting safety alerts (like the amber alert noise) on my phone for burglaries? I’ve only ever gotten these for amber alerts before and I think it’s odd over the last couple days I’ve gotten 3 (or 4) about burglary suspects in like Blaine?

Does anyone know what all the construction on the residential streets around Merriam Park is for? It’s been going on for a few weeks, but I haven’t found much information on the city’s website. I’ve had excavators pull out in front of me seemingly without checking for oncoming traffic three times in the past week, and equipment frequently obstructs the road with no warning. Some of the setups seem a little sketchy, especially on narrow residential streets (pictured is one example). Obv it’s a 25 mph zone so I’m not like concerned about safety, it’s just annoying. Mostly just curious what they’re doing, how long it’ll last, and if anyone else has had similar experiences.

Did anyone hear that loud aircraft sound over by cathedral hill? I could feel the air move so it felt like a large object. I’m fine just concerned about what it was.

I’m looking for tailor recommendations for basic hemming, taking in, zippers, etc. Can anyone recommend me a good one you’ve used? Thank you :)

I am craving baked potato pizza, and I am wondering if any of you guys know pizzeria/ restaurant that sells it, and hopefully does delivery too? I had pizza party in my work couple years ago, and I am suddenly craving a baked potato pizza.

Also, I don’t want pizza with a sausage or pork in it, so I hopefully the restaurant can allow me to modify the pizza to remove it.

I don’t know why most popular restaurants don’t sell baked potato pizzas or don’t even offer potatoes as a topping. They are so good.
