Was Vinnie Vincent truly that toxic of a bandmate in Kiss?

I wonder if the Stanley/Simmons public hate train just left him cast under a negative light, especially considering how difficult he was to work with in VVI (not to mention his million dollar album fiasco)

From where things stand in their history, it’s hard to say he was a bad musician or cowriter considering the output he had with KISS composed some really great songs.
