Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) My first Roblox game, PetWorld (pet simulator) – looking for honest feedback

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! I just published my first Roblox game, PetWorld. It's a pet simulator.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback:

- Was there a point in the first 5 minutes where you got bored or confused?

- How do the controls and UI feel on mobile?

If you share your game in the comments, I'll play it and leave feedback too.

Note: The game is currently only available to age-checked 16+ accounts.

Discussion problem reaching 250 players

Hey guys, could you share any tips and tricks on how I can better promote my game and reach 250 engaged players?
I’ve created two games—my first ones—but I’m struggling to reach that goal of 250 players.https://www.roblox.com/share?code=d967633309539945bddb44a8480b2712&type=ExperienceDetails&stamp=1792235513330

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) Hello, this is my first game!

• Upvotes

Hey guys, i made a game and pushed a lot of updates to create it as i like, there is a lot of things wrong with the game, but i think for now i can rest a litlle, the problem is i don't have enough players feedback, i don't have the money power to pay you guys but what i can offer for now is a spot on beta players, for it to not be taken by a random player who joins i put a 15 min play time per 2 sesions (30 minutes total) and you will get a dragon in the game, and the list with beta players (you guys) i will keep in mind in case of my game becoming something big (i hope so). There are only 15 spots but i will make more spots after i think of a solution with the dragons to not be so commun and too op.

P.S. if you have the feedback on the game on the first 15 minutes i will give you the beta player status faster.

Thanks.

Discussion How to monetise a game better?

• Upvotes

I feel like I’ve tried everything to the point that it’s not my fault anymore.. I have a lot of gamepass and developer products but not too many to swarm the user with stuff, I’ve updated my game quite a lot to add new things or polish stuff. Nothing helped. I get an average of 20-40ccu which could be the reason why but I’ve heard people making 500 robux a day. I make about 7 if I’m lucky.

My only conclusion is that it’s because I only have noobs playing my game, I thought my game was getting botted but 90% of the players are bacon hairs/ default skins, how can I improve this?

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) I'm a solo dev and just opened the Alpha of my post-apocalyptic trading RPG — looking for honest feedback

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm a solo developer, and today I opened the Alpha of my first game — Beacon Run. I'd really appreciate honest feedback from fellow developers, including the harsh kind. That's exactly why I'm here.

(Not hiring — I'm only asking for feedback, no payment involved.)

The lighthouse at night — the only safe light in the wasteland

What is it?

The world ended, but there are no zombies. Only a scorched wasteland, gangs, and the Madmen — people who lost their minds out there.

In the middle of it all stands a lighthouse. Its light marks the Hub, the only safe place left. You arrive half-dead from the desert, find your way to the light, and start a new life: trade, scavenge, survive, and maybe one day get back on the road.

The core of the game is trading and living in the world, not just combat.

Two Scavengers at dusk. The wasteland doesn't forgive mistakes
Morning in the Hub (playing in Russian here — the game supports 4 languages)

What's in the Alpha

  • The Hub — 7 voiced quest NPCs, traders, a lighthouse that lights up at night
  • The Wasteland — 4 types of Madmen, points of interest with loot, a deadly sandstorm at the edge of the map
  • Living economy — prices are shared across all servers and react to supply and demand
  • Karma system — PvP is allowed outside the Hub, but outlaws get bounties and worse prices
  • 4 skill branches — Trader, Fighter, Seeker, Driver
  • Act 1 story — ends with you rebuilding a car from 4 parts found in the wasteland
  • Day/night cycle, original soundtrack, mobile support, 4 languages

Donations are cosmetic only. Money never buys power.

Wesley the mechanic
Karma — from Outlaw to Beacon
Market Board — what the Hub pays today
Inventory

What I'd love feedback on

  1. First 10 minutes — after the intro, is it clear where to go and what to do?
  2. Core loop — does "trade + survive" feel engaging, or does it need more action?
  3. Controls & UI — anything confusing? Especially on mobile.
  4. Performance — FPS, loading, lag on weaker devices?
  5. Visual style — does the world feel consistent?

Known issues

  • Some NPC portraits in dialogue are still placeholders (a letter instead of a face)
  • Market trends are empty for now — they fill in as players start trading
  • Weapon grip looks a bit off in the hand
  • Driving out of the garage can be tricky — the car sometimes catches on something
  • Wasteland points of interest are getting a big visual update next
  • Servers may be empty for now — it's day one!

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) Our first Roblox release: a single-player survivor game set at a Japanese night festival, with 100 original yokai

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi all. I run a small studio in Tokyo. This is our first Roblox release, so I wanted to share it with other devs.

Yokai Night Survivors is a solo survivor game (Vampire Survivors style) set at a Japanese night festival. Taiyaki, prize plushies and sparklers have turned into 100 original "creepy-cute" yokai. Attacks are automatic; you dodge, collect souls and try to survive 10 minutes. English and Japanese, PC and mobile.

Two weeks after release, honest numbers: 26 players so far. A small ad test got 132 clicks, but only about 20% of them actually played, so we rebuilt the game page (video, description, thumbnail order) and added a "buy and retry" card on the death screen. Also, as a new experience it only shows for 16+ age-checked accounts until 250 engaged players, which is the real wall right now.

Screenshots: the first is the night parade stage, the second is the fireworks stage.

Happy to answer questions about the design or share more numbers.

Looking For Devs (Unpaid or Revenue Share) [Looking for Devs] First shipped game — "Kids Life," solo-built kid life sim. Looking for dev eyes on it.

Thumbnail gallery
• Upvotes

Just shipped my first complete game two days ago: Kids Life, a kid-targeted life sim on Roblox. Place file created September 3rd, launched October 15th, roughly 6 weeks of solo build time to get the shipped scope below.

Solo-built scope at launch:

  • 8 chore mini-games (laundry has 5 real-world stages, bathroom has 3, homework is actual math practice with scaling difficulty)
  • 20+ arcade cabinets (Skee-Ball, Mini Bowling, Hoops, Whack-A-Mole, Stacker, Claw, 7 retro screen games including Pinball, Barrel Climb, Rock Blaster, racer and moto cabinets)
  • Full laser tag arena with 1v1-vs-bot, teams, and FFA modes, 3 bot difficulty levels
  • 30 fishable species with a collection journal (uncaught fish show as silhouettes), dedicated Scales currency
  • 6 dog and 6 cat breeds with per-pet bond progression (grows through petting/feeding/playing), hunger, trainable tricks
  • 6 rideables (bike, BMX, scooter, skateboard, roller skates, blades)
  • Full house customization across 7 rooms with 5 theme packs (free tier) + per-room color unlock via Game Pass
  • Full suburban map: fountain plaza, resort pool with lazy river physics, splash pad, playground, courts, pet center, fishing dock

What I’d value feedback on:

  • UX/onboarding — is the Grandma letter intro clear enough?
  • Mobile — a few of the arcade cabinets had rendering issues in last weekend’s family playtest; actively patching
  • Monetization balance (3 Game Passes at launch, all cosmetic/customization, no pay-to-win)
  • Anything that feels janky or confusing

Screenshots below for a feel of the game.

If you’re willing to spend 10-15 minutes testing and giving honest dev feedback, DM me and I’ll send the game link.

First shipped game. I’m sure there’s stuff I can’t see because I’ve been staring at it too long.

Creation I built a real-time path tracer that runs entirely on the CPU in Roblox. No GPU, pure Luau.

Roblox doesn't give scripts any access to the GPU. So I wanted to see how far you could push rendering using nothing but the CPU, in Luau, with the engine's raycaster as the only primitive. This is how far.

It's a path tracer. Real multi-bounce global illumination, next-event estimation, reflective metal, refractive glass with Fresnel, a day/night sky. It renders a real open map at 1080p, and it has a real-time mode you can move around in while it traces live.

Everything that makes a path tracer a path tracer is written in Luau: the sampling, the bounces, the materials, the tonemap, a custom upscaler. The engine is used for exactly one thing it can do faster than script ever could, ray versus scene intersection. Nothing else.

Benchmarks (Intel i5-11400H laptop, in the Roblox client, GPU unused, tested on Crossroads):

  • Progressive: a converged 1080p frame in about two and a half minutes (80 passes, ~1.92s per pass with the custom upscaler on).
  • Real-time: ~23 fps average, moving the camera the whole time, at the lowest preset.

It runs in parallel across 8 Roblox Actors. There's a progressive mode for the clean beauty render and a real-time mode for flying around. You can toggle between path tracing and a faster ray-tracing mode that drops the noisy GI bounce for a clean, stable image.

Source is up on GitHub, free to view, run, experiment with, and make videos about. Credit required, and ask me before putting it in a game. Link below.

Happy to answer anything about how it works!

Pass 100 render, default settings

Realtime showcase, 1 spp 128x72p (default preset)

Discussion Indian Cards Supported for Ads?

I have tried like 8 different credit/debit cards, none of them are working for running ads, one of them used to work but then stopped and doesnt work anymore I got a mail on it saying recurring payments arent allowed by the indian banks as of 2020 or something. Now when i try to add it back it says use another card... i've tried almost all major bank cards and it either cuts the 1usd verification fee and says error or sometimes says use another card, sometimes it does ask for an OTP but still fails... I found that my sister's UK HSBC card works but I cant keep using it.

Discussion Thinking About Moving On

Thumbnail gallery
10 Upvotes

I’m not sure where to go from here with this game. I’ve had good stats for the last 2 weeks straight, and my CCU hasn’t broken above 22 at the max at any point since then. I stopped ads 2 days ago and I’ve been consistent with around 6-10ccu, but it just isn’t moving anywhere. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?

Help Me With Coding Tools attached to hand

I was making a custom inventory while following along with gnomecodes tutorial but after making the script whenever I drop the tool the tool still remains attached to my hand even thought its not in my inventory and the equip animation is not playing for it either
I double checked with gnome codes tutorial but it looks fine and when he does it with his tools it works fine as well
the problem I am noticing is that even after I drop the tools a weld inside of the RightArm part in the player model stays there but i don't know how to remove it
