It's a joint effort between my Dad and Sister to to recycle old deck boards into these houses!
My Sister is working on painting this little town! It's a joint effort between my Dad and Sister to make these! They like to recycle wood into these houses! My Dad saved a bunch of deck boards that a contractor was getting rid of from replacing a deck. So they have lots of deck boards to recycle and turn into houses! What do you think of them?

Twist ties and braces
Ive been saving up twists ties from groceries for so long and have so many. Didn’t know what i would use them for but they’re finally coming in handy. just got braces and had a nightmare of a time trying to floss with those super floss the dentist gave me. So i stripped the paper off the twist ties and tied the floss to the end of it. It’s so much easier to get my floss under the wire. Hopefully people with braces will find this useful

Dear creative people, how can i repurpose this, styrofoam from washing machine box. I'm not creative enough to think what to do with it. I do need some kind of organizer but i can't brain it.

Garbage or opportunity? NSFW
Somehow started collecting these years ago with the idea of covering my walls in them (it was high school give me a break) but obviously my taste has changed, even if it’s a silly craft I am trying to figure out how I can reuse them and avoid throwing them out. Any suggestions? Very weird plastic material, give me your silliest ideas! Not looking for it to look professional in the end anyways 😂😂

Monitor stand turned book stand
My dell monitor crapped out so I used a cheap Temu, shocking I know, podium i was going to use in classroom for the Frankenstein you see here. It' also has adjustable height feature but it's not heavy enough, like monitor, to stay in position.

Repurpose picture shelves
my partner wanted to buy a table to go behind the couch... I came up with this myself!
Just flip upside down and that's it. Our couch is thick enough that they dont move AT ALL.
Idk if anyone has ever posted this but I was so proud we didn't buy something AND made use of 5+ year old shelves we stored away.
Hope this helps reuse old ledges or shelves!

old ceiling fan blades make really solid garage shelving dividers
replaced two wobbling hunter fans in the bedrooms last weekend. instead of tossing the blades in the bulk trash pile, i unscrewed the brackets and slotted them vertically between the 2x4 studs along my workbench. kept my scrap wood sorted and did not cost a dime.

DIY Build-A-Bear
Planning my son’s birthday party on a limited budget. For one of the main activities I’m having the kids make their own stuffed animals. All the animals were thrifted, and I happened to already have a large roll of zipper left from a previous project. I cut red felt hearts to put into them.
When I did this before at one of my daughter’s parties, I had pre-sewn them with a ladder stitch BAB style, but I found it challenging to close/tie them all while managing the activity. Hoping the zippers make it easier!

What to do with company swag water bottles
Does anyone have ideas on how to upcycle water bottles that you just won't use?
I have 3-4 plastic water bottles that I've gotten over the years and I'm sick of them taking up space in my kitchen. I already have reusable drink containers that I like using more since they keep the drink hot/cold, don't leak, and fit in a cup holder. I don't need the random plastic one I got from the county fair, a 5k, or a work event.
I realize a lot of people donate them, I know that's an option, but I'm sure we've all seen the overflowing amount of water bottles already at the thrift. I don't want to contribute to that if I can help it!
Edit: I know I can just say "no thank you" to free swag and that is what I have been doing! Which is probably why I only have a few of them, since the ones I have are from quite a few years ago lol
