Goodnight, Finn
You were my best friend for 16 years. Together we had many adventures and your friendship and unconditional love will be forever missed. My heart is broken, but I know you were tired and you told me it was time. We took you outside for some sunshine before you settled down for a nap beside me. I’ll miss you my silly, prince. I’ll see you again. I love you, Finn. Thank you for reading - I wanted to share how sweet our boy is.

Said goodbye to my 13 yr old Labrador and final childhood pet today :(
Olive was struggling with all of this - struggling to breathe, tripping over her legs, struggling to wash herself after going to the toilet and refusing regular food - as a result of a lumbar/sacral tail tumour and so it was the right time to say goodbye but I am really sad.

An hour from now this sweet old man will be crossing. He just ate a rotisserie chicken for dinner. 😭

My dog crossed the rainbow bridge today
Ive grown up with him for 16 years his health had declined drastically in the past few months which led to the decision of having him put to sleep. It was for the best but i dont know how to cope with it he had always been my rock through childhood and into adulthood

Bit of a novel sorry !
I lost my bestest boy unexpectedly 7 weeks ago today (friday in aus) and this grieving process has been a strange one. I seemed relatively ok for the first 2 weeks - pretty sure I was in a shock bubble. The next 3 weeks were awful. Didn't eat, couldn't sleep (still can't) a roller-coaster of emotions.
On the 6th of oct a close family member was moved into hospice care. I've been spending my days up there trying to put a brave face on and i guess I've sort of pushed aside grieving my dog and I'm starting to feel horrible about it. I try to be cheerful when I visit my family member as I want his last days to be good ones but at the same time I feel like I'm giving off the impression that losing my best pal is old news? It's like i can't grieve and dig deep and rally for my family at the same time or maybe I don't have the mental capacity? I'm not sure but I'm starting to spiral. Before the whole hospice dealie I wanted to be alone. Didn't want to see anybody and had no interest to even leave the house literally any task was a giant mission. I guess I'm venting here to aee if anyone else has experienced similar? I feel so scattered. My brain is super busy and spinning, I'm like a ball of nervous energy or on the verge of a nervous breakdown Ned Flanders style

In the loving memory of my dog(oddy)...
It has been almost 7 years since he left us. I was only 13 or 14 years old when our family adopted him. He was so cute and playful, and I still remember his first day at home. He didn't even sleep that first day and cried all night—I guess all puppies do that when they're adjusting to a new environment. I was like, "Oddy, please go to sleep, yaar; along with you, they're going to kick me out too!" 😂😂
He was so cute. I could go on and on typing about him, but it will never bring him back. October 16th is the day we adopted him, and that's his official birthday. I just wanted to share his memory with all of you.
He's cute isn't he😭😭😭

missing my baby boy
Bucky has been gone for a few weeks now. I haven't really been able to bring myself to talk about him much until now, but I'm really feeling it right now and need to get this out somewhere.
He was nine years old. We brought him to the vet a few weeks ago because he hadn't been eating well. We'd thought he just needed his meds adjusted because of some pre-existing digestive issues, but as it turned out he had cancer and there wasn't anything the vet could do for him other than to put him to sleep before it progressed any further. It all happened so quickly that it was very hard to process, but we chose to let him go as peacefully as possible.
I've been around cats my whole life, but none of them were nearly as special to me as Bucky was. He was the sweetest little guy ever, always wanting scratchies and cuddles. I don't even know if I have the words to describe how much this little guy meant to me. He came into my life at a point where my mental health was at the absolute worst it's ever been, and he gave me a reason to want to live again when I didn't want to keep going. I am overall in a much better place than I had been in all those years ago, and I'm going to do my best to keep going in his memory, but fuck man it's been a rough few weeks.
Fuck cancer.
