ODD IQ TRVIAS!

I recently started a page called ODDIQ (read ODD IQ 😊).

The idea is to make a space for people who are into trivia, fandoms, games, films, music, history, internet rabbit holes, and all the random niche things people get weirdly obsessed with.

I’ve been posting short quizzes on TikTok and Instagram, and I’m hoping to grow it into more of a community over time.

The plan is also to do monthly online quiz nights, so people can join in, play live, and compete with each other.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, please check is out on our socials.

Also, genuinely curious. What topic would you absolutely dominate in a quiz?

Can you guess the club from these 3 former players?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Think you've got it? Try today's club: https://quizebra.com/football/guessclub/

Hey all. The game is called Guess the Club, and it's one of the daily games on Quizebra, a free site I built. You see a mystery club's former players one at a time, fewest games for that club first, with their games and goals there. The sooner you name the club, the better your score, but a wrong guess costs you extra.

Everyone gets the same club each day, and a new one arrives at midnight London time. After that you can play unlimited practice rounds.

Quizebra has 20 free daily games in four topics: geography, football, brain puzzles and chess. Each topic crowns a Daily Whiz, the best player of the day across all of its games. It's free, with no sign-up, no ads, and it runs in the browser.

Tell me your guess in the comments, and what you think of it!

Here are this week's questions from 3roads.xyz.

  1. In architecture, an X is a small recessed section of a room or an arched opening in a wall, partially enclosed by vertical elements such as walls, pillars, or balustrades. In geology, X refers to a steep-sided hollow in an exposed rock face or cliff, typically formed by water erosion in a homogeneous rock type. The term X originates from the Arabic word al-qubbah, meaning “vault.” What is X?

X - Alcove

  1. X is a specialized primary lymphoid organ of the immune system, known since ancient Greek times. Its name is thought to derive from a herb it resembles in shape. Galen observed that the size of X changes over a person’s lifetime. Its crucial role in immunity was demonstrated in 1961 by Jacques Miller, who removed X from newborn mice and observed a deficiency in a class of lymphocytes later named after the organ itself: T cells. What is X?

X - Thymus

  1. A classic London prank involved sending gullible people to the Tower of London to watch the “washing of the lions,” an event that did not exist. An edition of Dawks’s News-Letter from 1698 noted: “Yesterday being X, several persons were sent to the Tower Ditch to see the Lions washed.” The prank persisted into the mid-19th century. What is X?

X - April 1 (April Fool's Day)

Why were the first military tanks called “tanks”?

🚗 A little Vehicles trivia for today!

Why was the armoured fighting vehicle given the name "tank"?

A) It was a codeword to disguise the weapon as a water container
B) Its crew nicknamed it after the fuel tank inside
C) It was first built inside a water tank factory
D) Its hull was shaped very much like a fuel tank

Answer (spoiler):

A) It was a codeword to disguise the weapon as a water container.

During the First World War, the British used the name "tank" as a cover for their secret armoured vehicle project. The term suggested ordinary water containers rather than a new weapon, helping conceal its development.
