If you have a favorite let me know, if your favorite has been spoken for I might be able to duplicate or come close as I have more of most fabric.

Reddit polls are not very informative. I encourage everyone to go back and read the links associated with each person. As you see we do not have a lot of applications but I think that we have some good entries here.

Hello Quilt Block Swappers!
This group has been in existence since fall of 2020. Those of us who are the current Moderators and swap coordinators have been keeping the sub going since then. This is a fully volunteer endeavor. As time has elapsed, those of us who have been consistent in Coordinating and Moderating are no longer sustainable. We are prepared to pass on documents, moderating permissions and passwords to anyone who would like to continue to coordinate swaps and moderate the subreddit. If not, the subreddit will be terminated effective 1 January 2027.
It has been a pleasure to serve as a coordinator for the last 6 years. I am so happy that I was able to use my brain and organizational skills to create a community. For the most part, this community has been a wonderful place to serve as an outlet for creativity, while being a stay-at-home parent. Thank you for making this a safe and creative space.
If you are interested in taking over the coordinating and moderating of this subreddit, please send a message to the mod mail.
Thanks!

I have to make one more block. I counted wrong. But I have 15 done.

All blocks for all groups are technically done (untrimmed). I’m making three more so I have a few extras on top of my current extras.

I'd like to keep a few of these for myself TBH hahaha

36 blocks are done, done, done.
I am down with some respiratory bug so an additional 24 are at the 9-patch stage. Fourteen need hsq trimmed. And 10ish more are somewhere behind that.
I really hope a bunch of people want to swap extra blocks!

I know it’s the 11th hour so to speak, but as you pack your blocks, I am on the hunt for chihuahua (or terrier) blocks. Turns out with the extras I have made myself, I would have a great quilt for my bro-in-law but need to add those spicy little dogs! So if you happen to have one please think of me! 🩷
I also still have extras to swap if anyone is interested!

After locating my saved blocks, my side swap blocks, the bear claw blocks from the last swap, and an entire pile of bookshop blocks from a swap long past, I finally found the main swap blocks! They are ready for their final press for the envelope.

I labeled them all so if there's a specific one that somebody from group one wants please let me know and I'll make sure you get it otherwise it's random luck of the draw

Folks, I asked when the voting will open. The previous administration has an overwhelming amount of life going on right now. Voting for new management will open sometime in the next week. In the meantime, I hope we all get some quality time with our sewing machines while we patiently wait for what comes next.

We got a ribbon at my guild's quilt show - honorable mention! Give yourselves a pat on the back, a round of applause, and maybe treat yourself to some new fabric, I think we've all earned it! This was my very first ever block swap, before last year I had no idea what a block swap even was.
Now I've done two swaps through this group and have been running a few within my guild irl. I'm so glad to have met and made new friends from this subreddit and the adjacent discord server. I'd love for this community to continue to thrive and grow, and for it to help people expand outside of their comfort zones into new projects and make some new friends :)

Hey folks, are we supposed to trim our blocks and may I apply for special dispensation to leave my blocks untrimmed in case folks want to re-do to perfection?
I am a little bit worried because my blocks are slightly smaller than 12" finished. Are y'all's blocks all finishing exactly? I've attempted to practice good 1/4" seams . So far, I haven't trimmed any of mine but can do so.
I guess I need some hand holding or reassurance here at the end. All measurements are correct per the adventuresofadiymom website.

Just...i went on a cruise (poor me i know, I know) so missed #3, came back from the cruise SUPER SICK and could do nothing except practice breathing, So missed #4. Finally felt well enough tonight to try sewing, got through 1 block and now my machine is making a horrid noise and I'm gonna have to take it to the shop. Everything is pressed, cut and ready- i had it prepped before i left, I just need to assemble 9-patch blocks.
I'm so sorry!! I just need like 2 hours and a functioning machine and they will all be done.

I finally have my quilt top finished from the warm stars swap. I’ve got to get on the ball now and get it quilted. Hopefully I can get it done before the 15th so it can be my submission for our guilds annual challenge (this year the theme was “Seeing Stars”).
I’m coordinating a block of the month for our guild featuring the “Show & Tell” quilt be Elizabeth Hartman. Well, both of my grandkids tried to claim the original quilt. So, I decided to make a second one use different background fabrics and some of the blocks from the flowers swap for the quilts of a second quilt for my granddaughter (my grandson will get the original version).

I have 5 blocks done and 5 blocks to be assembled. School caught up to me but I’m quickly catching up.
Although, I thought l liked the green with the orange butterflies but now I don’t know if I liked my block choices.
