I have been apartments hunting recently, looking for a studio with a 3000 QAR budget and what the hell is wrong with the owners ? Literally 99% of the studios I have seen do not have a proper shower, meaning there is no actual separation between the shower and toilet meaning you actually shower in your toilets. I get it, those are very cheap apartments, but the bare minimum would be to have a elevated floor in your shower, something to the water doesn’t go everywhere.

Just me ranting out of frustration.

We’re unfortunately looking to rehome our little girl due to my husband’s severe allergic reactions to her.
When we initially got her, the previous owner assured us that we have a week to see how things go and that he would take her back if things didn’t work out.
Surprisingly, my husband developed hives to her touches and after consulting with doctor, turns out his immune system cannot take it. However, despite explaining our situation, the previous owner refuses to take her back (all in a week’s time)
The difficult part is that we haven’t even finished paying for her yet. We made an initial payment and still owe the previous owner the remaining balance, which we’re now expected to pay regardless of our circumstances.
We’re therefore hoping to find someone who would be willing to take her in and help us cover the outstanding amount. We’re not trying to make a profit or sell her for more than we paid. We’re simply in an unfortunate situation that we genuinely didn’t anticipate.
She’s a beautiful, tiny, affectionate little puppy who deserves a loving and stable home. We want to make sure she goes to someone who can give her the care and attention she needs.

I entered Qatar by land from Saudi through the Abu Samra border crossing last week using my personal vehicle, and I did the trip pre-registration thing through the Hayya platform, which the website says is supposed to save time at the border. I also paid for and purchased the car insurance through the Hayya platform as part of the process. To my surprise, when I arrived at the border it was as if the whole process has been cancelled; I had to do everything that everyone else had to go through, and I had to buy car insurance again right then and there. I explained to the guy at the insurance point that I had already bought insurance through Hayya, and he said they no longer accept that and told me to get in touch with Hayya to get a refund. I just heard back from them and they said they can't help with the refund because it's from the insurance company. So now I, as a foreigner who's already left the country, have to deal with chasing an insurer for a refund to a policy that to this day 8 haven't heard a good reason as to why it wasn't accepted.

The crazy part is that my understanding is that Hayya is an official government run service. It's still running a d advertising a service that is no longer supported though? How does that make sense?

For all long, my passport had first and last name only. My QID is first and last name also only. This time when I renewed passport, PD decided to add middle names. I was not sure if I needed a name change, or just passport number update as the first and last (core names) are unchanged.

I opened Metrash and followed the step filled out the names in Arabic and English and stated simple sentence on the reason for change, the next page takes me to attachments and I attached all the required documents. When I clicked next, it says application failed, try again. My only guess was the attachments formats and sizes most likely. I changed it many times to no avail. I tried JPEG and PNG small sizes (500KB, just my guess) and I tried taking pictures directly from the app, and it always fails. I tried the app in English and changed to Arabic with the same results.

Should I change passport number only and see what happens?

The birth certificate's attestation is on the back, the app does not allow multiple pictures/pages for the same category, any suggestions.

I'm hoping someone here in Qatar can help me or point me in the right direction regarding CITES documentation for my Quaker parrot, Chipee. 🦜

I'm planning to relocate to the UAE in the future, and while researching the requirements for bringing Chipee with me, I found out that a CITES certificate is required for the international transfer of Quaker parrots.

Unfortunately, I have a problem. I bought Chipee from a local pet shop here in Qatar, and the only document I received was the purchase invoice. I contacted the shop to request his CITES certificate and proof of legal origin, but they told me they don't have these documents either.

Chipee has become part of our family, and the thought of having to give him up is heartbreaking. I really want to find a legal way to resolve this documentation issue so I can keep him and bring him with me when I relocate to the UAE.

Has anyone in Qatar experienced a similar situation? Is there a way to obtain CITES documentation when the original paperwork is unavailable? Does anyone know an authorized wildlife specialist, a reputable consultant, or someone familiar with Qatar's MECC CITES procedures who could guide me through this process?

I'm willing to pay the legitimate government fees and reasonable professional fees for assistance in resolving this matter properly.

I'm not looking to bypass any regulations. I just want to find a legitimate solution because Chipee is part of our family, and I really don't want to lose him because of documentation that the pet shop failed to provide.

Hey I don’t wanna make this long but basically I am in al raya driving school and they’re really good it’s just I failed my driving test twice and it wasn’t even my fault and the thing is al raya has the test for girls every 2 weeks not every week like other schools so dates are far apart and I heard that you can choose a date and school from the metrash app however after I choose the appointments thingy in metrash and put in my qid It dosent load idk why
(They chose a date that’s in a month and a half from now) I have friends from different schools and they have their every week if anyone had a similar experience or have any tips on what to do please let me know as the whole thing is kind of driving me crazy (driving..get it) anyways I am scared that the next time they’ll also fail me for no reason again but hopefully not in sha Allah
