I made a daily map puzzle: rotate 16 tiles, reconnect the streets, then discover the location

I made North Up Daily, a free browser puzzle built from real maps.

You get a 4ร—4 grid with the tiles rotated and the place names hidden. Turn the tiles until roads, rivers and coastlines connect and north points up. The location is revealed when you finish. You don't need geography trivia to solve it; the clues are in the map itself.

Everyone gets the same daily puzzle. There is also unlimited practice, so you can keep playing after the daily one. It works on desktop and mobile, with no account or download.

Play: https://northupdaily.com/

I'd love to hear whether the map gives you enough clues to solve it without hints, and which kinds of places make the most satisfying puzzles.

I'm a solo dev and I made a collection of 25+ logic puzzles: no guessing, no timers

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi! For the past months I've been building Pocket Puzzles, one Android app with 25+ logic puzzles: sudoku, nonograms, kakuro, killer-style cages, futoshiki, skyscrapers, bridges (hashi), light up (akari), binairo, star battle, slitherlink-style loops, hitori, tangram, water sort and more. Each has 100 levels with a difficulty curve.

What I cared about most:

  • Every level is generated offline and checked by a solver, so it has exactly one answer and can be solved by logic alone. Nonograms, for example, only ship if they solve line by line.
  • No timers, no lives in the logic games, no ads between levels. There's a small banner, and videos only if you ask for a hint.
  • Everything is drawn in code: no images, small download, fully offline.
  • A one-time "No Ads" purchase removes the banner and unlocks every level.

New puzzles arrive regularly; next is an arrow-untangling game.

Google Play

If you play logic puzzles a lot, I'd love to know: which one is missing from this list?

Carromino: a one-tap chain-reaction puzzle on a carrom board

Game: Carromino

Platform: Android (phones and tablets)

Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tech.velra.carromino&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit%26utm_campaign%3Dplaymygame

Price: Free to play

Hey everyone, I'm the solo dev behind Carromino, and I'd love your feedback.

What it is
Every coin on the board points in a direction. Tap one and it slides until it hits the next coin, which flies off the way it points, and so on down the line. One good tap can clear most of the board.
Clear the board within par for three stars. It's easy to finish and hard to perfect: sometimes you have to clear a blocking coin first so a later shot flies further. Every board is checked by a solver, so par is always possible.

What's in it

Daily Knock: one puzzle a day, the same board for everyone, with streaks and a spoiler-free share card. Today is #13, so post your result below!
Endless levels in chapters of 25, each on its own board theme, with new pieces as you go: the red Queen, pockets, Tough coins that crack, turntables and portals.
No energy system, no timers, no forced ads. There's one optional "watch an ad for a hint", and that's it.
Works offline.

Feedback I'm looking for
Do the first levels teach the rules clearly?
Where did you stop playing, and why?
Did par ever feel unfair?

Involvement: I'm the solo developer. I designed the puzzle rules and the level generator, and built the whole app in Flutter, including the art direction, sound, and the daily puzzle system.

Thanks for playing, and I'll reply to every comment!

Wordkeepers mixes Bookworm-style word puzzles with a board-game adventure

Post image
0 Upvotes

Iโ€™m the creator of Wordkeepers, a browser puzzle RPG about searching for your grandfather inside a magical book. The word grid in this gameplay screenshot is one type of encounter: you build words to cast spells. Between encounters, you roll dice to move across a board, discover other puzzles, and earn rewards and upgrades.

The current beta has two playable chapters. Iโ€™d love feedback from puzzle players on how the word encounters and the other puzzle tiles fit together, and whether itโ€™s clear what to do when you reach a new encounter.

Play: https://wordkeepers.app

63-second look at the main adventure: https://www.reddit.com/r/playmygame/comments/1x90g4k/wordkeepers_a_bookworminspired_word_rpg_with_two/

Disclosure: I built the game with AI assistance for code and art. The linked video uses ElevenLabs narration.

I just released Cipher Gazette, a free word puzzle game for Android

Hey everyone!

I'm an indie developer, and I've recently released my new mobile word puzzle game, Cipher Gazette!

The idea is simple: solve cryptograms, decode hidden messages, and put your word-solving skills to the test, all with a newspaper-inspired theme.

I wanted to create something that's relaxing to play but still gives your brain a good workout. Whether you enjoy word games, cryptograms, or just solving puzzles in your spare time, I'd love for you to give it a try.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cyphergazette.altevil

It's free to download!

I'm still working on improving the game, so I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback, especially about the puzzle difficulty, gameplay, and overall experience.

Thanks for checking it out!

I made a word search game where you can race another player live on the same grid. Looking for feedback

I'm a solo dev and I've been building a word search game for Android. I'd love feedback from people who actually play word games.

What's different about it

โ€ข 1v1 Versus mode: you and a real opponent race on the same grid at the same time. Every word you find is one they can't. You earn trophies and climb through 8 arenas.
โ€ข Daily Puzzle: one new puzzle a day for everyone (it resets at 00:00 UTC), with a global leaderboard and streak bonuses.
โ€ข Learn as you play: tap any found word to see what it means. The word bank is about 2,800 words.
โ€ข 4 difficulty levels: from relaxed and untimed up to racing the clock. Words cross each other and run diagonally, so the harder grids actually feel hard.
โ€ข Stats: streaks, best times, and your match history.

It's free. There are ads, but nothing is pay-to-win.

What I'd really like to hear:

1. Does Versus feel fair and fun, or does it feel stressful?
2. Is the difficulty curve right?
3. What would make you come back to the Daily Puzzle every day?

Thanks for checking it out. I'll be in the comments!

I made a puzzle game where the whole board falls like dominoes if you hit the right spot

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone! Solo dev from Korea here. This is BoomLine, out now on Google Play, free to play. The video is three boards, one shot each.

The idea: the blocks on a board are linked, and there's one spot where a chain would spread farthest. I call it the "core". Find it, hit it, and the board comes down like dominoes. Hit the wrong spot and you barely scratch it. So the puzzle isn't "can you aim", it's "can you read the board".

How it plays: you aim and fire from a robot at the bottom, then catch the falling shot with the robot to keep your next shot going. Special blocks (lines, crosses, X-blasts, directional poppers) change how the chain travels, and every new block you meet goes into a codex. Boards grow from 18 columns to 26 to 34.

Free, no account.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.suo.boomline

One thing I'd really like to know from puzzle players: in the first stage, is it obvious where to aim? Closed testers said it wasn't, so I added a playable tutorial. Curious whether that fixed it.

(Art was generated with AI image tools and edited by me; sounds are processed from openly licensed recordings of real instruments.)

I built QuizSum โ€” a daily, multi-solution web puzzle game combining mental math with grid pathfinding

Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I wanted to share a browser puzzle game I recently launched called **QuizSum** (www.quizsum.com).

๐ŸŽฎ **Core Mechanics:**
โ€ข Given a target number and a grid of digits, your job is to chain arithmetic operations (+, โˆ’, ร—, รท) to hit the target.
โ€ข Unlike single-answer math games, QuizSum rewards discovering multiple distinct valid solution paths.

โœจ **Game Features:**
โ€ข **Two Daily Modes:** Speed Mode (race to 3 solutions) & Pro Mode (clear all grid solutions).
โ€ข **Clean UX:** Built with instant feedback, live timer, and global daily/weekly leaderboards.
โ€ข **No Friction:** Free, no ads, no registration required, and plays natively in desktop or mobile browsers.

If you enjoy daily logic/math puzzle games, check it out at **www.quizsum.com\*\* โ€” feedback on the mechanics or scoring is always welcome!

[Dev] Water Sort Puzzle: Zen Flow, a calm color sorting game for Android with no timers or lives that works offline

โ€ข Upvotes

A lot of sort puzzles add timers, lives or other pressure, which works against why many of us play them in the first place. Sometimes you just want to pour colors between tubes on a commute, on a flight or before bed, and not feel rushed.

That's who we made Water Sort Puzzle: Zen Flow for. It's a water sort / color sorting game on Google Play. You pour colored liquid between tubes until every glass holds a single color. There are no timers, no lives and no pressure.

What we think makes it worth a look:

  • Hundreds of handcrafted levels
  • Mechanics that change how you plan: The Fog hides glasses in mist, Ice Vines freeze tubes for a while, and Deep Flasks and Enchanted Vials bring new capacities and stricter rules
  • A generative ambient soundtrack that composes itself as you play. You can mute it so only the sound of pouring water is left
  • If you get stuck, you can add an extra glass, undo a pour, spend a hint you've earned, or skip ahead
  • Works offline, no WiFi needed
  • Colorblind mode that puts symbols on every color segment
  • Adaptive performance for both older and newer phones
  • Haptic feedback, hand-painted watercolor art and one-handed play

It's on Android here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=liquid.logic.color.puzzle

A question for people who play a lot of these: what makes a sort puzzle relaxing for you rather than tedious? Is it the level design, the sound, how it handles getting stuck, or something else? We'd like to hear what works for you and what doesn't, including about mechanics like fog or frozen tubes.

Disclosure: I'm posting this on behalf of the play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=liquid.logic.color.puzzle team.

Sokoban Heroes RPG โ€“ a free browser puzzle where you control a party of heroes who push stones, build bridges and outsmart bosses.

Post image
2 Upvotes
Playable Link: https://floppykey.itch.io/soko-rpg

Platform: PC (Web browser, keyboard or gamepad)

Description:

Sokoban Heroes RPG is a turn-based puzzle game about a small party of adventurers who can only win together. It takes classic block pushing and gives you a party instead of one little worker: every hero can walk and push stones, but each one also has a job only they can do. One strikes what blocks the way, one reaches what nobody else can, one finishes the fight. You switch between them at any moment, and most puzzles are really about who stands where.

The world has its own rules. Stones pushed into the water sink and become bridges, but heroes who step into the water don't come back. Crystal beams wake ancient totems if you can get the light to them. A mirrored echo can copy every step you take. And bosses are puzzles, not reflex tests: "Test of Faith" is the first one.

There's a move counter, so every move counts, and unlimited undo, so you can experiment freely. Right now there are 15 handcrafted levels, a boss fight and an ultra-hard bonus level, about 45โ€“60 minutes in total.

I'm a solo dev from Argentina and I'm deciding how to grow it (these heroes have a story I'd like to tell), so honest feedback helps a lot:

- Which level made you quit or felt unfair?

- Was it clear what each hero can do?

- If you reach "Test of Faith": did it feel like a puzzle or a chore?

I'll answer every comment.

Free to Play Status: Free to play (no sign-up, no ads, no in-app purchases)

Disclosure: art and sound are licensed asset packs, no AI-generated art/audio/text. Some code was written with help from an AI coding assistant.

Steam/Epic Games?

I mostly play more intensive video games like Destiny 2, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, etc. Since getting into mindfulness lately, I've found these games bring a lot of stress for me lol. Although I enjoy them, it's not always the healthiest. I was hoping there were some hidden gems out there that don't raise the blood pressure.. at least not in the same sense lol.

I don't know if something like this is even a thing, but in the 90's and 00's, computers used to come loaded with some games. Now you can't even play solitaire without constant ads and I could cry. Even things like slider games that we used to have on our phones lol. Those kind of 'simple objective' but not always a super clear cut path to the end? Maybe I'm completely off in what I'm trying to describe, but I feel like there was a whole genre of golden games that are just gone now. Games that you can literally pick up and put down at any time and just come back to whenever.

I also would love other good puzzle game recommendations! Especially logic puzzles! I'm a bit of a nerd in that, a game of pattern recognition sounds heavenly. I've done a lot of (mostly free) escape room games. A lot are co-op, but some were single player. Not all were great, but if it's free, I'm not really gonna complain lol. I'll add in some of the games that I'm thinking off that are all kind of the same vibe. Again, not super sure what I'm even trying to describe, but I hope someone out there knows! Simulation style games (like Contraband Police is definitely fun, but I wasn't a super big fan of the Super Store/Card Shop Simulator games).

TYSM!

I made Rotatron, a free browser logic puzzle on a twisting cube where each face adds a chess piece's attack rule

Hi, I'm Taylor, the solo dev. Full disclosure: this is my own game, it's free, and there are no ads or sign-up.

The base rule is the Queens / Star Battle idea: one piece per row, column and colour region. On top of that, no two pieces may attack each other, and the attack rule changes as you go: Militia, then King, Knight, Bishop, Queen. Solve the squares on a face and the cube twists to the next one.

It's early. I noticed the first few Face 1 boards are basically forced (no real deduction), so a harder Face 1 is coming around 26 Oct.

What I'd love to hear:

- Were the rules clear without a tutorial?

- Did any board feel like guessing rather than logic?

- Does the twist help or just get in the way?

Play: https://taylorkuble.itch.io/rotatron

Disclosure: this game was made fully AI-assisted.

After 3 years as solodev in my spare time, my first-person mystery thriller escape room game is finally launching on October 29!

Post image
1 Upvotes

After 3 years of working on The Transference as a solo developer, I'm finally approaching the finish line!

What started as a personal project has grown into a complete game that's now just days away from release.

Over these three years, I've spent much of my limited free time designing and programming the game, creating puzzles, building gameplay systems, and developing its story, while dealing with all the challenges that come with solo game development.

So, what is The Transference?

It's a first-person mystery thriller escape room where you wake up trapped inside your own home.

The doors and windows have been boarded up, and you'll need to solve puzzles, explore your surroundings, and uncover a story full of family secrets.

But there's one problem: you're not alone in the house.

The game combines environmental puzzles, exploration, storytelling, and moments of tension, with full voice acting in both Spanish and English.

And now, after all this time, the two biggest milestones are finally here:

๐ŸŽฎ October 19โ€“26: The Transference will be part of Steam Next Fest, with a free playable demo.

๐Ÿš€ October 29: The full game launches on PC and consoles, just in time for Halloween!

It's been a long journey, full of learning, difficult decisions, and countless hours of work. But it's also been an incredible experience bringing a personal project to life from scratch.

I've shared the latest trailer here, and I'd love to hear what you think!

If you're interested, you can try the demo and wishlist the game on Steam.

Many thanks!! โค๏ธ

I made a free multiplayer jigsaw puzzle website to play with friends

Hey everyone!

I've been working on puzzlewithfriends.net since 2022, but never really committed to it until recently.

I wanted to make an online puzzle website where you can easily solve puzzles with friends, without having to create an account or anything.

You can also create your own puzzles and there's a shop where anyone can become an artist and upload their own puzzles (no AI art allowed!).

I'm planning to let artists earn money from their art/puzzles in the future too through monetization.

Still a lot to improve, but I'd love to hear what you guys think! :)

Hi everyone! I'm a solo indie developer working on my first game, One Line Wonder, and I'm excited to share some gameplay GIFs with you!

It's a relaxing one-stroke puzzle game where you draw every path exactly once without retracing any edge. As you progress, new rules introduce different challenges, including one-way paths, starting and ending constraints, and ordered checkpoints.

I've recently given the game some visual polish, and I wanted to share how it's looking now!

The game is joining Steam Next Fest on October 19, and the free demo is already available if you'd like to try it out:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5061070/One_Line_Wonder/

I'd love to hear what you think about the puzzles and the updated visuals. Any feedback is welcome!
