Halloween is my favorite holiday. I have been performing The Kooky Spooky Halloween Show for children for over 10 years. 🎃

I need another goblin as a counterpart to Yui. I wanted him to be pale white, like he doesn't get a lot of sun. I thought I had more of the foam I used on Max but I don't. What I have it about the same but thicker. I have green upholstery foam but that too is 1" thick when all my other puppets are made of half inch. Any have experience using 1" for Muppet format hand puppets? Did they take shape OK, did they come out heavy? This fella's gonna be one the smaller side which is another thing the extra thickness has me concerned over. I, seriously, have zero money I can put towards new materials, otherwise I would just order what I need.

Self-built anthropomorphic raccoon hand puppet. The body was made with foam, 3d nylon mesh, 3d printed TPU, and webbing. The head has a 3d printed head base, teeth, tongue, ears, nose, adjustable eyes with inbuild RGB ring lights (controllable via a smartphone app), and movable eyelids. I made him for a live puppet show this year.

Hey r/puppets! I’m Gregory, and I wrote and directed a short called Meeting Your Maker.

It follows Otis, a puppet who’s spent years on a children’s TV show making people happy. Just before the 300th episode, he starts questioning his existence and his relationship with the person who created him.

Here’s the trailer: https://vimeo.com/1196750372/5c7024e5fe?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci

We’re in the middle of our Oscar run, which is a pretty surreal. I wanted to share him here with people who love puppets. Happy to chat about the film, and I’d love to hear what you think of him.

This is my DEVO inspired hand puppet SPUD-1. I really enjoy their music and made this puppet a few years ago as a tribute to their fantastic music.

Thought I'd share a WIP goblin puppet that I'm making. This is my first puppet build ever so be kind! I came up with a cheap and easy way to add a skin like texture to him; it was as easy as mixing PVA glue to white acrylic paint and dapping it on with a sponge brush. Letting the bubbles sit there and dry like pours on skin made a really cool texture!

I did think of trying to make his eye lids move but I'm not at that level yet so I might just make a really nice set of still eyes and come back to it at a later date.

It's not even puppet he can be even statue!

I recently decided that I wanted to get into puppetry for a hobby and creative project and (no surprise here) came across Puppet Nerd on YT. I checked out the website to see if I could get the Small Fry pattern but there’s an issue with the website. Is there somewhere I can access/buy the pattern?
