Sent my CA3 in for warranty for ejection issues, but I still love that gun. I love it so much I built an FAL to try and replace the emptiness i feel in my heart but it's not the same... please century

I'm planning to take my "new-to-me" Century C308 out to the range tomorrow, but I've heard these rifles can have some issues depending on whether it's .308 or 7.62 as well as depending on the case type.

Is there a specific brand/type that seems to run best across the board? I'm considering Remington UMC in .308 and Winchester target in 7.62x51mm.
