Learned Index Lab: Replacing B-Trees with streaming linear models in pure Rust (-99% RAM, 3x faster)

Thumbnail github.com

Instead of pointer-chasing through B-Tree node hierarchies, this index models the key distribution using streaming piecewise linear regression with strict epsilon error bounds.

Lookups compute positions directly on the CPU ALU before a local L1 cache search, reducing memory by 99% and cutting latency by 3x.

The competition is entirely online, so you can participate from anywhere in the world.

Dates: October 27–28, 2026

Prizes: With a prize pool of over $900 USD in previous editions, along with over $500 USD in goodies and prizes, Sudocrypt v16.0 promises an exciting challenge for cryptic enthusiasts and CTF players alike.

Event website: https://sudocrypt.com/

CTFtime listing: https://ctftime.org/event/3443/

Same JavaScript file plays Tetris in the browser and Snake after formatting

A formatter, minifier or deobfuscator can be made to turn one script into another.

Edit: this does NOT use source code checking for detection. Each technique only works for the tool it was meant for. You can go try out all 186 techniques with this script: https://divergence.trustsig.eu/

Welp, I've gotten over 50 downvotes because of one comment. You can have a read through the above given script (or let an AI read it) and quickly conclude that it has nothing to do with checking or comparing the source code. Also, running it through prettier or any other processor will produce a different log statement.
