I have created a general guide for our community, which contains not only information about possums, but also background information on how the subreddit will work.
Any criticism or suggestions are welcome in the comments. Please do so especially if I have gotten any information wrong.

Pulled up to work and it was still dark and I saw something scurry past my car lol so I got really excited. And also a few years back at same spot I rescued one on the side walk near the traffic gate I was working on. I took him to the woods and he ran off

We set up a trap for a feral cat in our neighborhood. Our plan is to catch him and take him to the vet for care and neutering. We had the trap out but haven’t put any bait in or near it. I guess this little guy got curious! The cage is open and hopefully he’ll go hunting tonight.

Backstory: This was taken on my front house camera.
I like to sit on my front porch for about 90 minutes every night. It's so peaceful and nice. I have a bunch of house geckos come around so I feed them dried mealworms.
About a week ago, I noticed a young possum walking in the shadows of my front yard, so I threw a handful of the dried mealworms out to him. He started foraging them immediately. So the past week or so I'd throw a handful out in the front yard and he's been there hiding in the dark shadows. I haven't spoken to him, I don't acknowledge him as I want him to be
The other night I was taking out some trash and they realized as I was going down the staircase he followed me and jumped on the concrete at the front of the stairs so I stopped and talked to him with my hands behind my back. He really didn't know what to make of it. When I walked away I noticed he ran away. And went back into the shadows. Got him some mealworms and threw them out on the yard and he came out of the shadows again..
He's so cute!
I respect him as a wild animal so I'm not going to try to tame him or anything and just let him be who he is.

This is a back corner of my garage, I needed something from the bottom shelf on the right and was quite surprised to find this guy taking a nap. I snapped a photo and let him be.

No picture sorry. I have seen my patio opossum, whom I have named Tapuach, a number of times in the last couple of months. I'm also feeding a feral cat, Dr. Robby (Dr. Robby Rabinovitch), on a daily or twice daily basis (he needs dinner and second dinner). I'm also attempting NOT to feed my neighbor's two cats, Bully and Dummy (not their real names) who get plenty of food in their own house.
Because my neighbor's cats are out all the goddamn time I don't want to fill up a dish and hope that Tapuach gets it and not them, so I've been scattering the kibble. I've also left tasty noms like cheese and tomatoes. But whenever I manage to catch a sighting, I feel like she's wandering around the patio and not finding what I've left.
Thoughts, advice?

Meet the original mama! She came to me with a severe jaw injury and was under vet car for the first month or so until we got her stabilized. She was a proud mama of 8 little joeys and when they were all eating solid food and moved to a new prerelease cage she enjoyed the peace. During that time another badly injured mama came in with a very bad injury to her back left leg with other minor injuries in her midsection and face. She had around 7 joeys but was not doing well so she was being monitored by the hour. The babies started to detach so we had to step in. We gathered the babies that were around 8-9 weeks, so they had fur. I then went to take a look at the original mama who was still full of milk sooo I took a leap to see if they would latch and they did! Well, most of them. All but one who we named Bucky. (We will talk about him later.) Anyhoo, the babies latched on and grew to be healthy and happy. All were raised and released thanks to mama 1.0 and that is how this tough mama made it through a severe injury and raised to litters before enjoying a long retirement.

Sorry no pictures as I see the possum at night through my screened porch. We have had a lot of acorns dropping this year. For the past two nights I have seen a possum picking up the acorns and then tilting its head towards its belly. Acorn, belly, acorn, belly. I googled it and it says they use the pouches only for babies. Is it giving acorns to babies? What is it doing?

I've never known the trust of an animal quite like an opossum. As she lays curled up in the crook of my arm breathing softly I know she feels safe.

She doesn't know it yet but her little dreams of activity will result in a new wheel for her very soon! Also thanks to Parker breaking the 10% threshold shes getting her own instagram account very soon.
