Stealing from American children, what a low life.

117

u/honeybadgerrulez 16h ago

trump steals from kids with cancer, there is no bottom for his depravity

34

u/laffnlemming Oregon 16h ago

This is the fact if it. Stealing from the children.

23

u/LowButterscotch1851 16h ago

I wish it stopped at just stealing

13

u/HaEnGodTur 15h ago

Yeah, I mean like, not to minimise the theft and all. But like

Him and his friends have done worse to those kids.

4

u/Fine-Sky-6562 11h ago

Stealing is low on the list of horrific things this piece of shit has done to children

2

u/laffnlemming Oregon 11h ago

Yes, but stealing money is essentially impoverishment, plus gluttony in this case, which is very bad indeed.

I don't believe Trump is planning to stay in America after his term. You don't steal this much and then stick around the scene of the crime.

15

u/mollila 14h ago

He isn't planning to end his term.

2016, Jan 6th and 2024 demonstrate clearly that the US electorate is willingly or unwillingly trying to bring ‘their’ country back to its Puritanical roots.

Very much in the vein of that Handmaid’s Tale book.

47

u/PatchyWhiskers 16h ago

Republicans are debauched, the party of Epstein is hardly puritanical. They are more into sex and drugs than any rock star.

19

u/jacobward7 13h ago

I mean that was the same in the Handmaid's Tale. Most of the commanders were corrupt perverts.

I get it. It sure does seem that way, but there are still decent people out there. Republican, Democrats and other.
I do think Trump has people under his thumb.
What happens when after the election Republicans don’t have to worry about him for them to get reelected. I’m hoping that those who have waited to stand up against him, will do it now and to show us the American citizens that not all has been lost. I’m just hoping to see something different.

Time for everyone’s favourite thought experiment to help visualize these numbers.

How long does it take for a million seconds to pass?
A little over 11 and a half days.

How long does it take for a billion seconds to pass?
31.7 years.

(And for fun, Elon) how long is a trillion seconds?
About 31, 700 years.

Billionaires shouldn’t be allowed to exist, let alone billionaire presidents.

88

u/chops007 16h ago

What’s the difference between a million and a billion?

About a billion.

12

u/Caucasian_Fury Canada 14h ago

Most people don't know this but there's a 'b' in "billion".

8

u/madeinatube 14h ago

I don’t think that people truly (at least where I live) really truly grasp what a billionaire is. I think they can grasp millionaire and think they’re the same. The quantity of money does not quite reach them.
I think they believe 10 million is about a billion Somehow The only reason I’m saying this is they clutch pearls when you say billionaires shouldn’t exist

They don’t grasp it fully

7

u/Caucasian_Fury Canada 13h ago

They don't, it's largely impossible for people to visualize the difference between a million and a billion especially since "billion" gets thrown around so loosely these days, and since most people will never deal with those kinds of numbers we just don't see it.

It's easier to explain to someone that giving away a million dollars when you have a billion dollars is the same as giving away $1 when you have $1,000. Or 10 cents when you have $100. When you think about it that way, a million does not even constitute a rounding error to a billionaire, it's that insignificant.

86

u/redneckrockuhtree 16h ago

Fun fact - Trump wasn't a billionaire when he took office.

He has grifted his way there.

57

u/mfGLOVE Wisconsin 15h ago edited 13h ago

Court docs revealed he was nearly broke when he was convicted of $400M tax fraud. Lucky for him, he didn’t have to pay that because he’s a fascist.

18

u/0o0o0o0o0o0z 14h ago

Lucky for him, he didn’t have to pay that because he because he’s a fascist.

It's not on him; it's on us, the American voters and the government we put in power. Because at the end of the day, it appears that Russia won the Cold War, the South won the Civil War, and we are a deeply racist, misogynistic, bigoted, terroristic, violent country.

7

u/AJ-watchparty25 14h ago

So let’s fix that. We don’t have to be that way. We shouldn’t be that way. Maybe it takes the country to come together and find a different path. We really do have everything it takes. I really need some hope.
I’m embarrassed that this is the country that we have become, but it takes all of us to make it better and turn it around.

4

u/Gekokapowco Washington 13h ago

rationalizing to our fellow Americans only made them double down (with the assistance of massive propaganda pushes)

shifting the average American's perspective on political engagement, and logical reasoning in general, will take a decades long educational push in an enviornment where the rich and powerful cannot meddle

these people are a lost cause and our attention is better spent rallying those that do care to force change. Reaching the median voter, reaching across the aisle, is just killing us near imperceptibly slower, as they will NEVER see reason and NEVER stop trying to kill all of us through malice or ignorance

6

u/ExternalScholar3472 15h ago

He won because americans voted for him

5

u/lrpfftt 15h ago

More because not enough americans voted against him.

3

u/ExternalScholar3472 15h ago

That's usually how elections work. More americans voted for him than against him.

2

u/OutInTheBlack New Jersey 13h ago

Not true. 50.2% of the voters voted against him in 2024. They just didn't vote for the same person, so he got the plurality and therefore the win.

3

u/lrpfftt 15h ago

The voter turnout was low which enabled him to win with just his cult supporting him.

I fear it could happen in midterms as well and hope that more people learned the consequences of not voting.

2

u/SuburbanHell Massachusetts 14h ago

So far, it seems no one who refrained from voting has learned the consequences, but so many certainly do like to complain online about it, and meanwhile they'll tell you "oh I didn't vote it doesn't work anyway" or "one vote doesn't matter" SMH

someone consult the Constitution on how we’re meant to handle a treasonous and corrupt government.

18

u/pogishushu America 17h ago

Thinking the Constitution has been forgotten or at the very least, heavily redacted since the gop Fascist Regime was installed.

9

u/metengrinwi 15h ago

The “Supreme” Court did and decided it was all ok so long as the treasonists are Republicans.

3

u/ImportanceLarge4837 15h ago

It might be time to start consulting common sense and creating draft proposals for a new constitution and voting system because quite frankly your current one has failed due to bad mathematical modeling and an over-reliance on representation and legal systems that were already seeing heavy strain in the governance of a small island where social ties could fully traverse a map of the population with relatively short minimum paths.

The people who wrote your current one said it should be replaced every 20 years not worshipped as an unbreakable system but as the precursor to software engineering it would seem there is nothing so permanent in law as a temporary patch.

3

u/Defiant_Wolf5934 13h ago

Careful now, Reddit and all the bitch ass mods / AI mods on here will ban / suspend your account at even the slightest mention of that notion for handling with a treasonous government. This platform is weak.

Only three?

He stole $10 billion from the Federal Reserve for his sham "Board of Peace," naming himself "Chairman," which gives him control over that $10 billion. That position is held by Trump regardless of whether or not he's President, and the membership fees (that came from several countries notorious for human rights violations) went into his pocket as well.

24

u/NoBasis3224 15h ago

And then there's the 40 billion bailout of the hedge fund that made a bad bet on Argentina's economy. Hedge fund manager is a Trump buddy, and kicked back around 10% of it to a Trump company.

He's openly stealing, and the MAGAts don't mind.

5

u/SoochSooch 15h ago

If one of Trump's supporters was on fire, and Trump was in the room, and there was a fire extinguisher hanging on the wall, Trump would walk straight to the exit while insulting them for being on fire.

Then when he tells the story later he'd be the victim for having to endure "that disgusting burning person"

8

u/Efficient_Market1234 14h ago

It's still way too many. In 2024, I thought even a handful was too many, and he won. It kind of broke me as a person when that happened.

While I'm going to vote this year, I don't have any faith that anything good will happen. So many people prefer this.

2

u/gopeepants 12h ago

We are seeing empathy burnout too. So many people that previously would have felt bad for those suffering who voted for Trump, simply just do not care anymore about them. It will only get worse after midterms if there is not blue wave.

2

u/Efficient_Market1234 12h ago

simply just do not care anymore about them

There's nothing to feel bad for, as far as I can tell. They voted for it, multiple times, despite feeling the consequences every time. And they'd be way more unhappy with a Democrat in office (especially Harris)--however much they're complaining right now, it'd be way worse if it'd gone the other way. They'd have their farms, and they'd have food and gas and stuff, but they'd be screaming bloody murder and marching on Washington.

Democrats need to claw it all back and put up legal barriers to prevent it happening again. They'll also need to ban all future presidential pardons.

If they don't clean the augean stables in DC, it will happen again, guaranteed.  It's not a Trump problem, It's a Republican corruption problem.

3

u/gotridofsubs 13h ago

Presidential pardons are an explicitly defined power of the office. To ban them they would need to change the constitution and theyre nowhere close to the numbers to do that even in the best case scenario

2

u/0_Foks_Given 13h ago

Pardons def need a re-visit, people shouldn't just be pardoned because the president likes them.

2

u/gotridofsubs 12h ago

I didnt say they shouldn't be, I said the practicality of that isnt simple or easy.

One solution is to not elect people who will abuse the pardon system, and/or have congress and the senate act responsibly when that happens and remove the individual abusing it. Thats a whole different topic though

He is abusing a flawed system and basically showing it everyone. Nobody is doing something against it. People are being quite ignorant, stupid or resilient. No-one takes action. They even re-elect this dude. In the first term I was sorry for the American people. But now I don't really care. Even if a socialist democrat wins the next election. A right wing puppeteer can come around the corner and win over the stupid majority of the country to turn everything around again.

As long as the US doesn't have a parlamental democracy, they are not a reliable ally and their people will suffer.

u/postdevs 13h ago

As an American citizen, I understand your perspective. It's very reasonable. But there is hope. Maybe Dems take the house and senate both. Then Trump's insanity can be reigned in for the next two years. Investigations. After he leaves office, lots of trials, prosecution. The blue wave carries a lot of progressives into office with it that would have been too left of center without. Then we pass new laws to prevent it from being possible and ride a nice little wave of progressivism before cycles turn again.

It's plausible that things turn out ok from here just from the right result at midterms. Far from guaranteed, but plausible.

So maybe hold off on total judgment until at least the slow wheels of the system get a full turn. It's maybe not and you're totally right anyway

It's not a defense, but a large proportion of Americans have been and continue to be subject to a decades-long propaganda campaign. He and his family need to be arrested for the crimes they have committed and all assets seized.

MAGA right?? What did you expect from a con man!

My family lost food stamps

Husband is a plumber; family of 4, 2 special need kids

But sure, lets take away food stamps from blue collar workers and families with autistic kids

"Let them eat tainted meat!"

No, really.

Let THEM eat the tainted meat.

u/Minimum-Cellist-8207 15h ago

This also excludes the attempt to steal $10B of taxpayers money via his settlement with the IRS

2

u/OtterPeePools 15h ago

My SNAP got cut off a few months ago. Aside from starving, suicidal, and some health issues, the upside is I've lost 30lbs. Thanks Trump :)

Nah. We’re in the let them rent cake phase. They want it back.

2

u/Fecal_thoroughfare 14h ago

This is just the overt stuff. Just wait until he croaks or the next administration comes in and we start seeing the stories like Fort Knox empty and the all the copper wiring ripped out of what's left of the white house walls

2

u/TomReed1872 14h ago

If Dems take over the senate and house they need to do an investigation and hold the Trump family to the letter of the law. They should be in jail or better yet denaturalize them and deport them for stealing from the American people.

2

u/jj2009128 14h ago

10 years from now, we might thank Trump. If not for such overt and blatant corruption, Americans may have never fully kicked Republicans out of office to enable meaningful change which I hope will happen in the next 10 years starting right after the midterm.

2

u/RadiantSweater 14h ago

How? Explicitly illegal acts of course. It's not rocket science to know a thief is a thief.

2

u/Direction_Kind 14h ago

And most of the people who lost aid believe them when they blame it on someone else.

2

u/NoBuffalo3671 13h ago

Disgusting family.

2

u/eeyore134 13h ago

We lost way more than food aid.

2

u/AJ-watchparty25 10h ago

I hear you.
But that’s not how I live or the
People I have around me. I’m doing everything I can as a citizen to stand up for what’s going on and so are so many others.
I’m not asking you even to agree with this. Just keep it in mind.

2

u/Bishopjones2112 9h ago

What an appropriate article title on today October 16th. Happy Marie Antoinette day y’all.

2

u/inalcanzable 8h ago

Only three types of people that are to blame for this shit show. Those who directly voted for Trump, voted for 3rd party like Russian asset Jill stein, or didn’t vote at all. Be sure to remind those people in particular

2

u/ptowndeluxe 8h ago

We're going to take it all back, just wait.

u/neovenator250 6h ago

Prosecute, jail them, seize their family assets and nationalize them. It's all stolen from us anyway

Scum of the earth!

I believe you mean the Trump Crime Family

Google “Trump children Sazan Island in Albania”. They are all going to flee to Albania once the tide changes in Washington.

5

u/Delicious-History486 17h ago

Like a classic Communist regime, where the top of the food chains eat best, our leaders too are feasting at the trough.

2

u/AusTex2019 16h ago

Americans will never learn, once you accept that, it becomes easier to live your life.

3

u/theguy1336 18h ago

And Americans will never ever rise up, no matter what.

9

u/Proof_Side_5667 17h ago

90% of his voting base has been indoctrinated into thinking its immigrants and Ukraine responsible for their woes. The other 10% know it’s not true and are the ones pushing that narrative.

6

u/SweetPrism 15h ago edited 14h ago

Ok, let's take an example. Let's look at Albania: 130 + days of consistent protesting, and it has gotten them absolutely nowhere. Kushner's family is GOING to get that land, though I do absolutely admire the fortitude of the Albanians.

Other countries love to tell Americans that this is their fault for not staging some huge uprising, and it bears reminding that, 1. In a lot of cities, even the local police have military-grade weapons, like literal tanks. 2. This is the era of the drone. No more needs to be elaborated on there. 3. My home state, Minnesota, fought ICE tooth and nail. It got them nowhere (32,000 people lost their jobs, though). Speaking of jobs, our health care is directly tied to them. With flock cameras and our currently inescapable surveillance situation, there is almost a guarantee that participation in a large-scale protest means possible termination of employment AND medical care.
Our government does not fear its people. In fact, I'd venture to guess that's the case in most countries now. One third of us voted against this. One third voted for it, and the other third couldn't even be bothered to vote at all. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying I don't think protests carry the same weight they did before this country descended into a corporate Dystopian shit hole.

His cult will claim it's fake news, they don't care or it only applies to the "illegals" or they'll beg their Lord and Savior Trump Christ on truth social to fix it

1

u/Kelulu 15h ago

According to the report, “The Trump family’s take alone could cover a full year of groceries for about 1.3 million people on SNAP.”

This! More people should be angry about this.

1

Oh I know this one. By being unfathomable pieces of shit

Is there any way that this money can somehow be returned to the people if he is removed from office and tried for the criminal he is?

1

u/Sandy_Bananas 15h ago

He’s far more of a “let them starve” wanker.

1

u/QanonQuinoa 15h ago

That doesn’t even include all of the insider trading he’s done this year. He made $3 billion in like 14 months from Nov 2024 to Dec 2025… totally normal… nothing to see here.

1

u/elle-be 15h ago

All because the thing that mattered above all else to one third of voters was that marginalized “others” who don’t deserve, were kept in their place. Consequences be damned.

1

u/Immediate-Machine370 14h ago

Ya see his recent rallies on TV? The crowds still gleefully cheer at every sound that drools out of his mouth.
They publicly don’t mind the expensive life he caused. Privately, who knows. We are all tired of his crap and the people who made it happen who are still doing do.

1

u/jarvis646 14h ago

Poor people voting for Trump have to be some of the biggest chumps in American history. The level of stupidity is mind-boggling.

"I'm just saying they don't need to have 30 dolls. They can have three. They don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

How many pencils does the orange one need ? How many can he use?

Bro, these people wont get off of youtube or reddit long enough for this being told to them to matter.

1

u/Sweet-Emu-7698 13h ago

This is the Trump-Vance ethos in a nutshell: maximum pressure and punishment for political opponents spuriously accused of crimes and maximum leniency for actual criminals who happen to be the duo’s political allies.

1

u/theghostsofvegas 13h ago

Cake isn’t covered by SNAP anymore.

1

u/Exotic-Cobbler4111 12h ago

They took in waaaay more than 3 billion. They forgot to count all the untrackable bribes they took through crypto.

1

u/doyouthinkwecanfly 12h ago

Lost food aid and celebrated Trump winning so hard. And will vote for him and his party to continue winning. They might as well just have their pay sent directly to him at this point.

1

u/overmonk 12h ago

I have no doubt it was a lot more than $3 billion.

1

u/Wonderful_Kick_855 11h ago

Every last one of those dirtbags needs to be sent out of our country. The fucking Kushners on down.

1

u/mOdQuArK 11h ago

All the top level elected officials & their immediate families should be forced to use blind trusts as long as they're in office. Reasonable wages+benefits as wards of the State for their living expenses & whatever extra they need for their official duties. If they want access to their full assets back, then they have to resign.
