Took a 192 mile jaunt today, supposedly the last "hot" day of 2026, round here leastways. Lake Wenatchee was the destination. Beautiful day and ride. Going east after cresting Stevens Pass on Route 2 the temp cratered down to 50. It was in the fifties when I started 3 hours earlier, but I stopped in Monroe to meet up with a buddy and took off some layers as I was baking and it had warmed into the mid 60's. Then got into the lower 70's as we were heading east. Was darn cold on the descent. Coming home going thru Monroe it was 81! Eighty-one in Monroe on October 16th. What'll they think up next? I ride all year so this wasn't really any special occasion or reason for a ride. Just a semi-humorous commentary. Well, I remember a March day this year when it was 81 in North Bend. Sure don't remember days like that 40 or more years ago, but then again my memory is quite suspect. Vroom Vrooom.

Hi everyone. I’m based in Portland and I’ve been putting some miles on my 2019 Yamaha XMAX 300 exploring the Pacific Northwest. Recently rode through the Columbia River Gorge, past a couple of incredible waterfalls and up the forest roads to Larch Mountain.
far my longest trips have been from Portland to Cannon Beach and Astoria, but I’m planning to venture farther next spring.
Anyone else here doing longer trips or touring on a maxi scooter?

Hey there. I’m in Beacon Hill and want to get my 99 Honda Shadow VT1100 serviced. Most of the spots i know of that service bikes are on the north end of the city? Is there anything on the south end?

Not trying to spam, but reposting to make the ask more clear. Have a pair of basically new size large pando moto base layer pants which are excellent, but looking for anyone who’d be interested in trading their size Med.

Knocking out some bucket list rides this year before the end of season! The colors right now are can’t-miss.

Apologies for intruding with my baby Ruckus. Just sharing that they've finally opened up the South Shore Rd portion of the loop around Lake Quinalt after being closed for 2 years. It was a perfect ride, highly recommend

Hey guys, moving to Washington state for a few years. I’m from the east coast, have two dirtbikes from the east coast coming with me. I keep seeing a lot about orv registration for off-road riding and lots of differing rules. If anyone is able to tell me. Is orv registration actually enforced in Washington? Like do I need to get my bikes licensed with the state or is it something that’s said to do but not really followed through on. Is the process a pain to get your bikes registered or is it easy? Thanks in advance!

What would be some good easier twisty roads in the portland area? Im not a new rider however coming from kansas has left me completely inexperienced for twisty roads and im still very uncomfortable when i find myself on them. What would be some solid practice spots?

Hey, I'm a guy in ny 30's getting back into riding. Have a little dual sport with a big fuel tank. Put on about 500 miles a week. 50/50 street and gravel. It'd be awesome to find some people to ride with. I'm not super fast, but I've had no issues keeping up on group rides. I also don't mind taking it slow. Have bluetooth coms. If anyone is looking for a chill eiding buddy let me know.

Wonderful weather here at the end of September. Nobody on the roads and they are clean and dry... Out to Idaho from Seattle. Back in a few days... Go get some!

Hey everyone,
I'm moving to Oregon in a couple of months and will be buying a bike upon arrival. I've been eyeing the Honda CB750 as the bike I'll get, but not having lived in Oregon all year round, I'm curious whether I should consider other bikes. The bike is going to be my daily commuter and weekend rider. I'm not a track guy, but lean towards sports bikes not adventure or heavy cruisers. I sat on the BMW F900XR the other day and it got me thinking whether something with a windshield and faring is better than a pure naked bike.
Opinions welcomed :)

Hello,
I am fairly mechanically oriented and would like to understand my bike better / be able to do maintenance work on it.
I have changed oil and air filters previously, and removed/reinstalled the front wheel. But I have never replaced cables for example, or done any troubleshooting etc.
Does anyone know of classes where I can learn a bit more?
