Pro tip, when you go on vacation, make sure you have room for souvenirs.
Our visit to North Myrtle Beach last week was fun.

Just a small diorama of the simpsons couch with a modified room to adjust for a miniature family guy pinball machine for Homer, customary beer and doughnuts of course. Wled btf lighting. Custom raspberry pi 3b+ and 7inch lcd playing simpsons content on loop on boot up. Enjoy! And yes I know the simpsons logo is up there and bothers some ppl. Relax ;)

I think it's such a cool little feature for pinball machines. A way to track your scores across machines? Compare with friends? Local and global leaderboards? That's all awesome and such a great addition to pinball. However, I think it could be so much more than what it is and I find using the current iteration incredibly disappointing every time I open it up. Why can't I see scores for individual games I've played instead of just my all time highest score on each machine? Why can't I sort by day and see all my scores and all my games for a given day? Why is the app so bare bones? It just seems like they had a great idea, but only went half effort on the whole thing. I would love to look at all my recorded scores for an individual table to track my progress. I would love to see if there's days where I'm just on fire and setting multiple personal records across multiple tables on location. It's like an the stuff I was actually excited about isn't actually there. Every time I open the app I just end up disappointed about what it isn't.

Pinball Expo was a blast. Bon Jovi played great. Circus Voltaire played great. Loved playing Fallout. Sonic was super fun. I can’t believe I only started going last year. Definitely a yearly event from now on.

Anyone at expo get time on YY? What is the verdict?

Actually the second time I post this 'achievement', but as the first time was on Star Wars, this feels like the real one. Played about 250 games over the last 6 months on this Godzilla Premium machine and after not improving for a few weeks, the last two weeks my average scores somehow raised to 300/500 million on a regular. Yesterday, after a +/- 30 minute game, this was the end result!
Nothing more to add, finally these long awaited bragging rights.

Played the remake yesterday, game was beautiful to look at but played weird and felt slow like their other game Houdini. Anyone else play it?

I was able to find a Bon Jovi off market and I’m going to need to sell 1 pin. I’ve narrowed it down to Godzilla 70th (modded a lot with all Stumblor) or Dune. Also have Pokemon and transformers LE but those will leave when Ghostbusters and Elwin Star Trek come out next year.
Both games have hang ups - Stern will probably rerun Godzilla and barrels will rerun Dune.
What’s the consensus? They’re both good games.

Which has better longevity for ownership? Which sounds better?

I'm a location player and I think I'm pretty good. I'm they type of player who can get all the GC scores and play FOREEEEEEEVER.
But do you who are also good ever feel guilty about taking so long?
I mean, I'm only playing ONE game. If someone's waiting I'll let them have a game when my game ends. If I've got replays I'll usually give them one. Especially if it's a kid!
But is there anything else YOU do if you've got someone breathing down your neck and you KNOW you're gonna be awhile? Like 30 minutes or longer?
I'm also always happy to give advice, again especially for kids if they're into it. I'll give credits if I've got em.

I've owned at least one machine for the past 49 years but sold most of my collection around five years ago except for a couple of special ones. Then I got sucked back into the hobby bigtime with the advent of the LCD era machines. Now I've got some of those, but the siren song of the classics is calling again and I've picked up Gorgar and now TZ in the past two months. I've finally hit a stage of life where I can actually dedicate time to learning to repair and maintain these older machines, though, now that kids are grown and launched. So many great eras of pinball to enjoy!

If you are out at Pinball Expo take a peak. This is one of a handful of games currently running on my software/platform. An All-In-One pinball manufacturing toolset. If you are looking to make a homebrew in the next year I will have some really good discounts at launch (Nov/Dec) timeframe.

I currently own the stern dnd premium. My whole family uses it. I love the flair and the IP usage. I’m a long term dnd player so it’s amazing. I have 5 kids and I want a second machine. I’m debating between Godzilla premium, because the rating is the best, it has amazing colors, I love Godzilla, and it is a stark difference to the gameplay of the dnd machine. But. The fallout machine is amazing. It has unique shots, is themed around an IP I’ve worked on before, it’s one of my favorite IPs, but early reviews make it out to be very stop and go and much much harder than godzilla. Please help me decide.

Now I know what people mean when they talk about flow state in pinball! Got to play the new Bon Jovi at Pinball expo. Had no idea what I was doing, but I was just aiming for the lights and going with the flow and next thing I know I looked up and somehow got a billion! (Only my second billion ever 🥹 )
Highly recommend checking this game out if you can. It feels so good to play. So many of the shots feel so satisfying (guessing it’s the combination of layout, music, and lighting.) It definitely has that immersive flow state feel.
Anyone else played it yet? What are your thoughts?

Hi there everyone. I have an old Chicago machine that has been working like a breeze for years. A month ago I started having issues with the player three scoring. It got itself stuck resetting on one of the scoring reels and I attempted to manually reset this reel. I soon figured out that it was just a loose wire on this switch. Now it resets to zero, but the game keeps cycling through the reset function and shows all zeroes, but will not end this reset function until I turn it off. I have the schematic but I still feel really lost. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I've only now just stumbled upon this sub, so it's great. I'm trying to bulk up on info here as I'd very much like to purchase a retro pinball machine for our home. My favorites (as a kid) were "Hook", "Terminator 2", and "Lethal Weapon 3" (random I know). Anyway, if anyone has a line on one of those, that would be great. Regardless, is there a place that's considered the most common one for searching for these? An online marketplace for selling/buying? I'm in the northeast (US), so if I can pick it up that would be ideal. Thanks!
