i got my septum pierced originally in february and it was pierced so awfully that i knew it seconds after getting it done (it hurt and bled like hell and it was so so so low). i got it taken out by a different piercer the next day. i waited a couple months and got it reprierced somewhere more credible in july. the piercer told me that i have a deviated septum, so it looks crooked at some angles, but it should be perpendicular to the tissue at the placement itās at. it also hurt pretty bad but not as bad as the first time, and it didnāt bleed and i might just have a low pain tolerance or something. the first couple of weeks went really smoothly and i wasnāt having any issues. then, around mid august i got two irritation bumps, and so i stopped cleaning it twice a day and started only doing it once a day. when i did that, the bump on my left side (4th picture) completely went away, but the bump on my right side has stayed until now. the bump on my left side comes and goes, and iām not entirely sure what makes it do that. i would show the bumps, but itās hard to get a picture without manipulating my nose in a way that puts too much pressure on it, which i donāt want to do.
age of piercing: 3 months
shape: horseshoe
material: i donāt remember, sue me
threading: internal
downsizing: has not been (cannot go to my piercer for questions and stuff because i donāt go back home from college until thanksgiving)
routine: once a day, before i shower i spray the saline that i got from my piercer, shower, and then clean off the gunk with a q-tip (ik q-tips are controversial but thatās just what my piercer said to be doing)
unfortunate events: iāve never snagged it or anything like that but when iām eating something big my lip will touch it. it also moves from left to right like on its own, but i never fix it i pinky swear.
also, i had a nostril piercing that got a piercing bump in a similar fashion but just on the outside and it didnāt go away for 1.5 years, and i saw my piercer and i took their advice and then eventually had them take it out because something wasnāt working with it obviously. if you look at picture four you can see the bump is kinda still there.
i just really really want this to heal so bad, cause itās literally the easiest piercing and i have technically spent like 180 dollars total on it. itās chill if you think that i just have to see my piercer. i will soon, but if you have any advice based on the photos or any insight iād really appreciate it.
