Recommendation request Romance with a Gomez and Morticia vibe?

Post image
80 Upvotes

Does anyone have recommendations of M/F paranormal romance (or fantasy if it fits) with an Addams Family vibe? Spooky passionate romance where the guy is super into the woman? But not something outright murdery or gory. Like Spooky cozy.

Would prefer M/F or even Reverse Harem with the woman as the focus. Would prefer no omegaverse (tried to read several of them and they're just not for me).

Recommendation request Supernatural MMC who is not a jerk

I'd really love some recommendations for a series in which the MMC (vampire, werewolf, any type of shifter, whatever supernatural) isn't a complete jerk from the very start.

I loved the series Tooth and Claw by Heather Guerre, the Tribunal Archives by K.N. Banet, as well as the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by Michelle Read.

I would also like something that doesn't have huge amount of smut (I don't mind a couple of scenes, but if there's more smut than plot, that's just not for me). Also, I can't stand books in which the FMC is "not like other girls" and has no female friends because "women hate her for actually no reason".

I would also love it if the FMC is also a supernatural, though if she's human that's fine.

Discussion Golden era of Paranormal Romance?

If you had to guess, or know for sure when would you say the golden era was for Paranormal romance? I know it's still around in some aspects, but it's less popular than it used to be.

Discussion Most Amazing Paranormal Romance Gift you’ve received or want

My beloved really enjoys paranormal romance, and romance in general. I’m looking to get her the most amazing Christmas present, and I’d like it to be related to her favorite genres. Could be a trip, book, or anything really. She’s read A LOT of PR and romance, and her favorite author is Amanda Quick.

Last year we stayed at Nora Robert’s B&B, The Inn Boonsboro, which was fantastic and I highly recommend!

So tell me…what would your perfect gift be this Christmas?

Thanks In Advance!

Recommendation request Not Mean Werewolf Romance

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried looking it up and couldn’t really find what I’m looking for. Wondering if anyone knows of any good werewolf romances with a male werewolf love interest who ISN’T a jerk/overprotective in a lowkey toxic way/grumpy. I would like if he was kind and funny but still a little protective, but more so in a “I will fight off the bear/serial killer/other werewolf coming for you” kinda way and not a “I will kill any guy who looks at you” kinda way. Bonus points for fated mates and if either characters is a bit nerdy. At least a little spice preferred but not required. Also, would prefer a cozy vibe if possible. Of course I know that’s a lot to ask and there may not be the perfect book out there for me, but recommendations close to this are also encouraged! Thank you :)

Recommendation request New and Noteworthy Wolf Shifters

I'm in the mood for a wolf shifter. I love them but I feel they are very hit or miss. Could you recommend a wolf shifter series that has just come out in the last year or two. Stand alone or close to complete is preferred. I also prefer M/F, no non/dub com please.

Do you know this book... ? Looking for a dark reverse harem PNR series, read a few years ago (Amazon/KU or Wattpad, not sure which). Heroine has four fated mates. Hidden magic world inside the human one. At a certain age a mate mark appears, and pressing it summons your mates to you. She’s been hiding from hers for years and

Recommendation request For sanity’s sake… HELP!

Hi everyone,

I’ve just finishing rereading the series, full reread after completing Threshing Day. I’m now at a loss on what to read to make myself forget that the next book doesn’t even have a release date yet. Please help…. I’m into Romantasy and paranormal Romance - mostly.

Series that I live for, for reference:
\* Fourth Wing
\* Dark Series or more accurately anything Christine Feehan
\* Dark Hunters
\* ACOTAR
\* Lords of the Underworld
\* Immortals After Dark

Rant/Vent Reminiscing on what PNR meant to me growing up

I just feel emotional after reconnecting with BDB tv show as an adult.

I read Dark Lover when I was 18 years old perhaps. I remember writing in my journal that JR Ward has a way with words, and she can even describe a plain stone in a fascinating manner.

I wanted to write this here because may be some of you may also relate to this. Books have been a huge part in my growing up. And PNR was part of an important period in my life.

Of course, my first PNR (I don't know if it counts) would be Twilight. I loosely call it PNR here because I believe it gave me a soft launch to accept demons, fallen angels and more vampires books to enter my life.

I had a pretty dysfunctional home growing up, and struggled to cope with that. In some ways these books saved me and gave me an escape. In some other ways, I now wonder who I would have become if I couldn't escape into books. Would I have become someone I may not like? Or would I have found solutions for my problems even though I was just a teenager?

I can't remember if I read BDB first or Demonica series first. All I remember is fervently trying to find book series that were loooong and already completed.

I love both the above ones.

Today I wanted to reread or continue the Demonica series, as there are new books added to it as well.

I saw that Legacy series by Larissa Ione is starting and the series isn't complete yet. I found the plot to be intriguing.

At this point in my life I am not dependent on books to hide me from hardships of my world, so I am up for reading an ongoing series. But it just reminded me of how much it used to pain me when a book ended, when a series ended or when I can't binge a series. How endings felt like parting with something that felt like family.

Okay, I just wanted to share these weird and vulnerable thoughts that was on my mind today with my fellow PNR lovers.

Have a goood day, and read on!

Recommendation request Books with characters like Sander Eriksson

I just finished the most recent book in The Ever Seas trilogy. I can't wait a year for Sander's book!

Do any of you know of paranormal books with characters like Sander, Kase or Jonas Eriksson? I'd he happy with characters like Niklas or Raum too.

AI suggested the following books but I haven't felt any magic yet:

1 Throne in the Dark by A.K. Caggiano

2 An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

3 The Foxglove King by Hannah Whitten [UPDATE: This series is magical]

4 Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater

5 Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett

6 The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (which I've read numerous times)

TV / Movies I watched the tv series adaptation of BDB!

I enjoyed it, and can now see that good book-to-cinema adaptation is possible.

Having said that, I badly wish Demonica series by Larissa Ione would be turned into a series too. 🥺

Recommendation request She sees ghosts

Hey, I'm looking for any books where the heroine can see ghosts. And the hero is totally normal and has to deal with her oddness.

I'd prefer if the rest of the world was just our normal world. In otherwords not an urban fantasy setting. Contemporary or historical, MF preferred.

Thanks for any recs.

Gush/Rave Review "Resilience: (How) To Be A Werewolf III" by Jan Stryvant

Book number three of a three book urban fantasy series. I read the well printed and well bound POD (print on demand) trade paperback self published by the author in 2026 that I bought on Amazon in 2026. BTW, the author published this book under a pseudonym, his real name is John Van Stry. The author has stated that he is writing a fourth novel for the series.

Joshua has been an orphan since age six when his parents and older sister were killed in a car wreck. He has been in the foster care system since then in Wichita Falls, Texas and at eighteen was the quarterback of his high school football team. But, he was falsely arrested for an armed robbery right before the championship football game.

Joshua spent time in the County jail before a friend's father bailed him out and got him a lawyer. Now he is trying to get himself cleared of the false charges and to finish high school. And he has three girlfriends. And he is able to change into a wolf or a werewolf since the jail took away his charm that prevented him from turning, descended from Odin's úlfhéðnar.

This book is a harem book as described by the author. That means that there is lots of sex in the book, more so than his regular books so he is using a pseudonym to indicate that to his readers.

I really liked the characters, they are fully fleshed out and very likeable. The story moves fast and is very tough to put down.

The author has a website at:
https://jvanstry.blogspot.com/

My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Amazon rating: 4.8 out of 5 stars (810 reviews)
