Squig powered warboss in mega armor

An attempt at copyong @thibaut.rahm Golden Demon submission from last year. Trying to improve my layering and NMM. Wanted a wonderful reference to understand the concept and compare. C&C welcomed!!!

I'm currently working on some Deffskullz Kommandoz. Decided to go with the old "blueberry" navy camo, because I felt that suited them. This is also fun because I have a model who would now be considered a Big Boss, who's story is that he's sort of the "admiral" of my Ork WAAAAAAAGH!!!

So that would make these guys, and I suppose my Wrekkaz and Tankbustaz, his "Muhreenz." Not so much Space Marines, more "naval infantry- in space."

These guys are still a work in progress, but I'm enjoying painting them, so far. I'll definitely be sure to add some purple to them. Probably on the equipment and some of the plating.

I sculpted berets on the Stabby Git and the Snoipa, as well as a big bushy beard squig on the Nob. Between the hat and the beard, I might name him "Castrork," lol.

Does anyone know any good lists that include big ghaz, wazdakka, and nazdreg?

I think he's an old Painboss model or some such? Can't decide what he should be. His current base is huge.

I got him for a dollar at the LGS lol.

Soooo, if the new boys are bigger and more detailed than the old ones - and I already have tons of the old ones - is there any reason I shouldn't be using them as Nobs? Saves me buying an expensive kit and means I have twenty of them right now

He’s more of a scavenger than a straight up inventor

Hey yall, former 8th edition dinosaur player coming back to the hobby for 11th ed. Was a deathguard player, but always loved orks so for my second time around the block I picked up the ork half of armageddon. Decided that my first paint jobs would be my cannon fodder. Literally cannon fodder in battle and also battle fodder as in test dummies for a noob painter to make mistakes and learn on. Its been extremely fun, but i need an opinion on what looks better.

The left most grot is simply a green contrast paint, with aggrax earthshade in the crevices as shade.

The middle grot is the same contrast green, same aggrax earthshade, with more highlighting on top with a 50/50 green yellow mix.

The right grot is the same as the middle, except instead of the aggrax earthshade in the crevices, it is another, darker green contrast paint for shade.

I think I like the middle and right for than the left, but i cant decide which of the better 2 is my very favorite. Thanks for any input!

First Meganobz completed

I’ve been looking at listhammer and I found that many people were opting to not even bring battle line units and preferred to bring multiple elite units.

In my last match with a marine player. He said he was frustrated with orks because they were so much harder to kill and he had to dedicate so much firepower to try and kill them (which he struggled). He found that the fact they’re so fast and durable caused him lots of problems, whereas typically orks charge them die.

In retrospect, I was surprised I had so many units left. I was able to keep some units riled up the entire match too. I also brought more tanky units to survive longer.

I feel meganobz are crazy good this edition too. The -1 ap ability is so strong.

I do feel ultramarines are pretty powerful too though. Felt like they were just as good at melee than orks were.

Nazdreg and Meganobz made short work of fulgrim.

Orktober tribute, not perfect but happy, best model I've done imho, do it long enough and you improve.

Theres still work to be done touching up and I accidentally spilled a bottle of Agrac Earthshade on him. That said I feel really proud I did it because for the longest time, I thought I couldn't play 40k or at least paint my own minis with having essential tremors in my hands.

Ok we are getting to the end this has been fun and i kinda want to keep going

Just got a little starter box this week. They are so much smaller and harder to paint than I imagined but it’s been really fun and relaxing.

Finished these a few weeks ago but just got around to taking some pictures. Went for speed on these, trying to see how quickly I knock them out and still be happy with the result. The whole unit took maybe 10 to 15 hours over the course of a week or so.
