First, WAAAGH! Now that formalities are out of the way, it's not often that new rules are added as that means more work on my end enforcing them. For the good of the community, going forward AI generated content is no longer allowed in r/Orks. The community has overwhelmingly made it known that AI "slop" is not content this community is interested in and does not spark engagement or interaction. In short, AI content = No thanks.
The rule reads as follows:
AI generated content is low-effort and not considered as an original work. Posts evaluated by the mod team and determined to be AI will be removed without warning.
If you see this content in r/Orks please report it. This is the best way to get our attention so we can handle it accordingly. This is not retroactive, don't stress if you have posted AI content in the past. If you disagree with this new rule, that's unfortunate. Anyway, please keep AI content off r/Orks and I thank you all for making this the best community about plastic space fungus toys on this platform.

Hey r/Orks, let's talk about some of the Orky things you have going on this weekend. Stuff that will make your fellow green-skins either jealous to be you or thankful they are not you.
Examples of what we're talking about:
Who knows, maybe your post will inspire (or shame) some other git to get moving on their project. So, what's good this weekend?

Finished these a few weeks ago but just got around to taking some pictures. Went for speed on these, trying to see how quickly I knock them out and still be happy with the result. The whole unit took maybe 10 to 15 hours over the course of a week or so.

I bought this kit three years ago but for some reason never found the time to paint them. Well, after two weeks of painting, they are finally done :) Because my Waaaagh! doenst have fixed theme, i decided to paint them with the colors of the EVA mechs from Neon Genesis Evangelion :D

Having models fully painted and based feels really good. These are my first completed models for my 1k army I'm bringing to my first ever tournament... Just 40 ork boyz to go...

Got a couple of small details to tidy up but largely finished my conversion of a ghost ark into a battlewagon

Da Krata Maka! Built mainly from a looted Leman Russ I traded a mate for decades (!!) ago, a 2nd edition Space Marine Rhino passenger cab and Chimea rear door, a Genestealer Cults Goliath ram, and a Battlewagon's turret. I've been trying to build this thing for the entire time and couldn't get the inspiration, and the glorious return of Gunwagons for 11th edition finally did for me. The symbol on the side is from my Big Mek!

I’m very new to Orks, I started building/painting a speed freaks army in June. I have enjoyed the simple yet effective play style. 5-0 so far:) Enjoy the battle pics
Love how the colour scheme turned out on this one. Btw What a great kit- so orky!

I’ve been looking at listhammer and I found that many people were opting to not even bring battle line units and preferred to bring multiple elite units.
In my last match with a marine player. He said he was frustrated with orks because they were so much harder to kill and he had to dedicate so much firepower to try and kill them (which he struggled). He found that the fact they’re so fast and durable caused him lots of problems, whereas typically orks charge them die.
In retrospect, I was surprised I had so many units left. I was able to keep some units riled up the entire match too. I also brought more tanky units to survive longer.
I feel meganobz are crazy good this edition too. The -1 ap ability is so strong.
I do feel ultramarines are pretty powerful too though. Felt like they were just as good at melee than orks were.

If you have any tips or advice to help me improve my painting, I’d love to hear them. I only started a few weeks ago – I paint from time to time – and I’m really enjoying this new hobby.

Hey yall, former 8th edition dinosaur player coming back to the hobby for 11th ed. Was a deathguard player, but always loved orks so for my second time around the block I picked up the ork half of armageddon. Decided that my first paint jobs would be my cannon fodder. Literally cannon fodder in battle and also battle fodder as in test dummies for a noob painter to make mistakes and learn on. Its been extremely fun, but i need an opinion on what looks better.
The left most grot is simply a green contrast paint, with aggrax earthshade in the crevices as shade.
The middle grot is the same contrast green, same aggrax earthshade, with more highlighting on top with a 50/50 green yellow mix.
The right grot is the same as the middle, except instead of the aggrax earthshade in the crevices, it is another, darker green contrast paint for shade.
I think I like the middle and right for than the left, but i cant decide which of the better 2 is my very favorite. Thanks for any input!
