Visiting these WA geological wonders is mystical — if you can stand the gunfire
Is there too much gunfire at Mima Mounds?

Edited: According to Mercato this event is no longer happening there.

@Olyqueerfyrd on Instagram is calling to boycott the restaurant. Brian Heywood, the founder of Let's Go Washington (the people who brought the anti-trans bill to the ballot) is being hosted at Mercato Ristorante by Thurston County Mainstream Republicans (via Facebook).

Anyone know any good Halloween spots in oly?

Is it true that employers in the area don’t take Evergreen degrees seriously? Or is that just a rumor.

Google says it is temporarily closed. Is this true?! I hope not! I love this place. It is one of our main go tos.

Hey everyone! My wife and I recently moved to the area and I’m looking for some good places to run around Olympia, Tumwater, and Lacey. Ideally looking for routes anywhere from 3–10+ miles, especially places that are scenic, relatively safe, and good for longer runs.
Would love to hear everyone’s favorite spots! Bonus points if you have specific routes or Strava maps you can share. Thanks!

Hello!
My name is Jamie Keenan-deVargas. I have lived in Olympia since I was 8 years old, and I just finished up my bachelor's in Planning and Urban Engagement at UW Tacoma. I've worked in retail and agriculture my whole life; I currently work at a local plant store! Now I'm running for State House (LD22, Seat 2, Olympia area) because life is becoming less and less livable for working people in my community (including myself), and I feel that we should not sit idly by whilst the democratic establishment utilizes their position of immense power to continually offer no solutions and do the bidding of their corporate donors.
My highest priorities are to
I pride myself on platforming data-driven (scientifically validated) solutions to the issues we're dealing with. I detest politicians that fail to offer substantive solutions. "I can't wait to keep fighting for a brighter future for all of us!" Yeah. Ok. Show the RCWs, show the literature, show the budgetary analysis, or get bent ☺
Ask me anything about taxation, housing, transit, education, healthcare, or anything else you'd like and I'll answer. I’ll be starting at 7PM on Sunday at the moderators' gracious behest and will continue to answer more the following day or until I am cut off!

Think they have a k9 but have road blocked off. 10-15 patrol cars probably.

Hey gang, wanting to plan a safe and sane bar crawl. I’ve never ordered a ride share in this town, how available do they tend to be in the midnight to 2 am range on a weekend? Would it be wildly expensive to go from downtown to Tumwater?
Also let me know which bar has the cheapest well drinks!
Thanks in advance! 🫶🍻🥂

Wow, what we have learned. This gift link to The Olympian’s story is really interesting. Hope you guys dig it as much as I did.
One thing that isn’t explicitly discussed in the story is the emerging science around some of the ingredients in tires that have been found to kill salmon. That’s only been discovered recently, so the tragedy of using tires as “fish habitat” along the shoreline is doubly heartbreaking. People thought they were doing the right thing. All the more reason for us to question our own well-intentioned work in this era, isn’t it?
I dont want to buy it online. Anyone know where I can buy a fake crow? Im striking out at all the halloween stores. Thx
