What will you do once Reddit sunsets old.reddit.com?
Going by its recent developments, Reddit will sunset old.reddit.com somewhere in the near future. Was wondering, what will you do then?

Reddit.com/r/all Links No Longer Work on Mobile?
Literally yesterday I was able to use this link on the mobile app. Sort by rising, top past hour, etc. Today, the page is gone. They've fully fucked this site.
Edit: Been pointed out that it was r/All with a capital A. Nevertheless.
Edit: as I said in the body, this is a discussion about the mobile app.
TL;DR: /r/All used to work on the mobile app and now it doesn't. Anyone saying otherwise was uninformed.

Times have changed.
Pretty crazy to think there was once a time you could refresh reddit on your computer 6+ hrs later and still have all purple links. Boy how times have changed

Reddit is fucking dead. And I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
And yes, I'm posting this again because I originally posted it on r/TheoryOfReddit, and obviously, the mods removed it. So here I am, trying my luck in this sub, hoping this place still has a little bit of that old Reddit energy left.
Mods, please don't remove this one too. I'm just trying to fucking rant 😭🙏
Reddit used to be one of those places that actually felt like the internet. Unfiltered, chaotic, weird, full of random people talking about random shit. You could find the most unhinged discussions, the weirdest communities, unpopular opinions, stupid jokes, and genuinely interesting conversations you wouldn't find anywhere else.
And now? Fucking hell.
The commercialization of this platform is one thing, but these mods are making it ten times worse. You post something completely normal, and some moderator removes it for the most out of context, bullshit reason imaginable. Every community has its own rulebook, and sometimes it feels like you're expected to memorize an entire constitution just to make a fucking post.
And god forbid you try to ask why your post was removed. You'd think asking for an explanation would be perfectly reasonable, right? Apparently not. Sometimes, questioning a moderator's decision can get you banned from the subreddit altogether. Like, seriously? Since when did asking for clarification become a fucking crime? Obviously, not every removal is unfair, and moderators have a difficult job dealing with spam and abuse. But there's a difference between enforcing rules and acting like your little subreddit is some personal kingdom where nobody is allowed to question your authority.
And the irony is that Reddit became popular because it was different. It wasn't supposed to feel like Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn. It was supposed to be a place where people could be people without everything being polished, sanitized, monetized, and filtered through a corporate friendly lens.
But that's exactly what it's turning into. More commercialization, more ads, more corporate decisions, more restrictions, and increasingly frustrating moderation experiences. Reddit wants to grow into a massive mainstream platform, but somewhere along the way, it feels like it's losing the very culture that made people love it in the first place.
I'm not saying Reddit should have absolutely no rules, or that every moderator is power-hungry. But when harmless posts get removed for questionable reasons, when rules are enforced inconsistently, and when you can't even ask for an explanation without worrying about getting banned, you have to wonder who these communities are actually for anymore. The people using them, or the people controlling them?
And honestly, this goes beyond Reddit. It feels like we're watching the old internet die in real time. Everything is becoming a sanitized corporate product, and the platforms that once gave the internet its character are slowly stripping away everything that made them worth visiting.
Reddit used to feel like a corner of the internet where people could just exist. Now it feels like a fucking shopping mall with a thousand unpaid security guards deciding what you're allowed to say, while the corporation that owns the place keeps finding new ways to monetize the experience.
Maybe the old internet wasn't perfect. It had its fair share of problems, too. But at least it felt human. It was messy, unhinged, unpredictable, and sometimes completely stupid. That's what made it the internet.
I miss the old internet. The messy, unfiltered, genuinely human internet.
Because whatever the fuck this is now, it ain't it.

Reddit archives
I really don’t like that I can’t upvote posts from like 15 years ago or interact at all with them like I want to be able to experience that time capsule and talk about it in the comments but anything like 3 years old is now forever locked away in a vault and I just think that’s dumb. -AB SINGING OUT

Embedded YouTube videos broken? Now being asked to sign in to prove I'm not a bot (but signing in doesn't work)
I know we're nearing the end of old reddit but I'm holding on as long as I can

Inbox doesn't clear?
As of today (or maybe yesterday??) my inbox messages no longer clear. Has anybody else been having this issue?
I kind of feel like old reddit is slowly being killed off or something. If I'm forced to use new reddit then I think I'll just leave.

They fucked with comment image embeds
Previously: embedded images in comments would appear as a hyperlink with the text <image> and clicking on em would open a new browser tab with just the image. Handy for browsing on my phone because I could just hold my thumb on the link and it'd open in that little inset pane so I could see the image and then dismiss it.
Now: clicking on the link opens a new browser tab of the comment itself in the new-reddit view, in context, with all the rest of the replies surrounding it. And usually focus jumps all over the place while the rest of the fucking thread loads so the hold-to-view routine works inconsistently now.
Bad.

Where did my multireddits go?!
Yesterday my multireddits, which used to be a pinned right-side column, disappeared from view.
I had to go into new_Reddit to see my multis, then I bookmarked them (had to change all the URLs to use old.reddit).
Is there an easy way in Old_Reddit to see one's multireddits now?

Topicle, alternative to Reddit, now has a classic theme
To all Old Reddit enjoyers, you may be interested in Topicle, which has a recently introduced classic theme that harks back to the early days of Web 2.0 and has a friendly community. Worth a look: https://topicle.com/t/topicle/comments/bL8o8cH/classic__an_alternative_look_for_topicle/

bring back the good old days #noai
anyone ever thought of implementing a system to identify, flag and filter out slop content entirely, be it in text, image, audio, video or any other format, from operating system, browser, platform level, to end this menace once and forever, to bring back the good old days, no more ai?

Reddit no longer defaulting to old.reddit — option missing from preferences
For the past couple of days reddit has stopped defaulting to old.reddit for me, even though "opt out of the redesign" is enabled.
The option has also disappeared from my preferences on old.reddit — it used to be there, now I can't find it at all. It's still listed on new reddit, but toggling it does nothing. I have to type old.reddit in the URL manually every time.
It happens on other computers too, so it isn't a cache or cookie issue on my end, and logging out and back in makes no difference. It's been like this on mobile for a couple of months, but now it's happening on desktop as well.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Are they phasing it out gradually, one user at a time?
