Swedish Zyn pouches

Does anyone here know a place in Ogden that sells the imported Swedish Zyn nicotine pouches? To clarify, these are the ones with a lot of the marking in Swedish on the side of the can. I used to be able to get them at a little store in Clearfield, but they no longer have them. Thanks in advance!

Best place to recycle aluminum in ogden?

Basically the title, just wondering if there is one that pays consistently better prices? Mostly cans, but a few bigger pieces as well.

Events & Activities 🥀 ALT OGDEN: THE ORDER OF THE BLACK ROSE Gothic Halloween Event

Post image
14 Upvotes

Ever wanted to spend an evening in a gothic novel? Here's your chance.

Candlelight, red velvet, vampires, dark romantic music, glowing mocktails, wax-sealed letters, dancing, games, and an atmosphere roughly equivalent to spending the evening at Dracula's castle..

This is our Halloween event, and it's the most elaborate one we've put together so far.

Couples, friends, and solo attendees are all welcome. Gothic romance is the theme, but this is not a dating event. The optional rose system simply lets people signal whether they're open to flirting.

ROSE = Open to romantic intrigue.

NO ROSE = Not open to to romantic intrigue. They just want to enjoy the event without worrying about having the life drained from them by a cheesy pick-up line instead of a vampire.

Roses must be acquired yourself ahead of time. They can be real or fake and any color.

All attendees are expected to respect this system. Do not romantically approach someone not wearing a rose, and do not assume seeing a rose means you can go on a restraining order speed-run. Do not make me explain what boundaries are to a grown adult dressed like a Vampire.

---

🥀 THE DETAILS
Sunday, October 25 | 7–10:30 PM | Ogden
Tickets: $10

18+

Arrival: Check-in is from 7–7:30 PM. Please arrive during that window so we can get everyone settled before the evening's activities begin. Late entry is not guaranteed.

Dress code: Dress like you're attending a ball at Dracula's castle. Interpret that however you see fit. Dark colors encouraged; elaborate costumes entirely optional.

---

🎟️ HOW TO GET A TICKET

Since Reddit is anonymous, please comment below or message me directly if you're interested in attending. I'll send you the registration form and payment instructions. The exact venue address will be provided to confirmed attendees.

Tickets are only to cover the cost of the venue. Most of our events are free and designed for the alt, goth, & punk community.

You can join our group and view previous events here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/alt.ogden

No drugs or alcohol allowed at this event. Nicotine is okay.

Local politics How does everyone feel about Ogden city limiting public comment?

Public comment for as long as I can remember was 3 minutes which sometimes isn't enough, but anyways. Now they are planning on limiting it to 1 minute.

And all of these because people are angry with them about appointing Jeremy Peterson, and parking, and ICE stuff.

Local politics Titan Legal is a disgusting predatory scam factory, and Ogden tenants are just fuel for Kirk Cullimore’s ego. (Plus: How to fight back)

Thumbnail
22 Upvotes

Let’s cut the polite "lawyer respect" bullshit for a second.

If you’ve been served by The Law Offices of Kirk A. Cullimore (Titan Legal) in the Ogden area, congratulations. You didn’t just get evicted; you got targeted by one of the most aggressive, fee-hungry legal vending machines in Utah.

I’ve been digging into their playbook, and it’s not about justice. It’s about volume. They aren’t trying to resolve disputes; they’re trying to scare you into paying so fast that you don’t even realize you were being fleeced.

Here’s the dirty truth about what Titan Legal actually does:

  1. They Monetize Fear

They send notices that look official but read like ransom notes. They pile on "administrative fees," "filing fees," and "legal costs" before a judge has even looked at your case. Why? Because if you panic and pay, they make money without having to prove anything in court. It’s a toll booth on your anxiety.

  1. The "Kirk Cullimore" Brand is Built on Overwork

You think this firm is high-end? Look at the volume. These guys are churning out eviction cases like fast food burgers. They don’t have time to care about your specific situation. You’re a number. A file. A check. If you try to explain your side, you’re an inconvenience. Their system is designed to exhaust you until you just write the check.

  1. Aggressive Tactics Disguised as "Procedure"

Process servers showing up at 7 AM on a Saturday? Notices left under doors while you’re standing in the hallway? Confusing legalese meant to make you feel small and ignorant? That’s not standard procedure; that’s psychological warfare. They want you to feel powerless so you’ll do exactly what they say.

  1. The Fees Are Inflated Bullshit

Check your local county rates. Now look at what Titan Legal is charging you for "services." The markup is insane. They’re billing you for work that takes five minutes, just because they can. And if you question it? Good luck getting a straight answer. They’ll bury you in more paperwork until you give up.

  1. The Family Business Play: Using His Son’s Senate Seat

And here’s the kicker that makes this truly disgusting: Kirk isn’t just a lawyer; he’s leveraging his family’s political power.

His son sits in the Utah State Senate. Do you really think that’s a coincidence? While Kirk’s firm is aggressively evicting tenants across the state, his kid is up there voting on housing laws, rent control measures, and tenant rights bills.

It’s a closed loop.

Step 1: Titan Legal pushes for maximum fees and aggressive evictions to generate cash flow.

Step 2: The political connections help ensure the laws favor landlords and collection agencies over actual people.

Step 3: When tenants try to fight back or point out irregularities, they’re fighting against a system where the players are related.

It’s nepotism weaponized against your housing security. They know the rules better than anyone because they helped write the loopholes. His son is making laws that protect their business model while his dad is collecting the checks. It’s a dynasty built on squeezing families who can’t afford to hire their own lawyers to fight back.

🛑 HOW TO FIGHT BACK (Don’t Just Sit There)

Reading this won’t stop them from taking your deposit. Here is how you actually hurt them:

  1. File Complaints with the Utah Office of Professional Conduct

Lawyers hate their bar association more than they hate angry tenants. Titan Legal’s inflated fees and confusing notices likely violate ethical rules.

Action: Go to the Utah Supreme Court website and file a formal grievance.

Focus on: "Fee Churning" (charging for repetitive filings) and "Misleading Communications."

Why: One complaint is noise. Ten complaints about the same pattern triggers an investigation. It slows them down and creates a public record.

  1. Weaponize the Political Angle

Politicians hate bad press.

Action: Email every member of the Utah Housing/Judiciary committees. Attach screenshots of Titan Legal’s notices alongside the Senator’s name. Ask: "Does Sen. [Son's Name] recuse himself from housing bills that benefit his father’s firm?"

Why: It forces him to go on record. If he votes against tenant protections, you have ammo. If he stays silent, he looks complicit.

  1. Stop Paying the "Fear Tax"

If you haven’t paid yet, do not pay just to make it go away.

Read the notice carefully. Check the dates. Check the math.

If they charged you $500 in "fees" for a $50 filing, demand an itemized breakdown in writing.

Use the extra time to find a tenant union or a low-cost legal aid clinic.

  1. Spread the Word

Share this post. Tag local news desks (KSL, Deseret News) with the headline: "Utah Senator’s Family Firm Accused of Predatory Eviction Tactics."

Has anyone else noticed how loud these notices are? Like, why do they need to scream "PAY ME NOW" in bold caps when the law gives them 30 days? It’s because they know if they wait, you’ll remember your rights.

Don't let them ruin renting in the Ogden area!

🥀 ALT OGDEN: ORDER OF THE BLACK ROSE

Sunday, October 25 • 7–10 PM • Ogden, Utah
Tickets: $10 per person

ALT OGDEN is preparing an evening of dark romance, gothic horror, and an unreasonable amount of red velvet.

Think candlelight, roses, lace, gothic decor, blood and gore, dark romantic music, glowing mocktails, dancing, games, and the atmosphere of spending an evening at Dracula's castle after he ate everyone and went to bed.

🕯️ THE GOTHIC AMUSEMENTS

  • Potion-making: Mix your own glowing concoction at our make-your-own potion station.
  • Gothic correspondence: A Victorian writing station with aged parchment, ink, envelopes, and wax seals for mysterious missives and scandalous declarations.
  • A custom ALT OGDEN game: Details shall remain classified until further notice.

Bring a partner, bring a friend, or arrive alone and cry to The Cure.

---

🥀 THE ROSE

Interested in flirting or romantic intrigue? Wear a rose.

🌹 ROSE: Open to flirting, romantic intrigue, and perhaps finding someone worth reciting melodramatic poems to.

🚫 NO ROSE: Leave the poor creature alone. They're here for the atmosphere, dancing, potions, and general gothic nonsense without romantic pursuit.

Participation in the romantic intrigue is entirely optional. A rose means someone is open to being approached; it does not guarantee mutual interest.

---

🦇 TICKETS & REGISTRATION

Tickets are priced low at $10 per person, with proceeds going toward covering the venue. This is the first ticketed ALT OGDEN event.

The venue has a 50-person capacity, so advance registration is required.

To get the registration form, comment below or send me a private message. I'll send you the form with the payment instructions and event details. The exact venue address will be provided to registered attendees.

---

🥀 A NOTE ON DECORUM

Be charming, not alarming.

Respect boundaries and take a hint. Anyone who can't grasp this will be swiftly suplexed by a person in a vampire costume. This would be embarrassing for everyone involved.

If someone turns you down, bow dramatically and leave them be. You may return home and recite rejection poetry by candlelight if necessary.

See you in the shadows. 🥀

---

🥀 You can find the ALT OGDEN Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/alt.ogden

Join us for upcoming goth events, local alt adventures, and misfit meetups with Ogden’s alternative crowd. ⚰︎
