using headphone wires, removing the wire and keeping the insulation, and inserting different wire, make this certified DIWHY

The wire thing seems silly here but I love this guy's stuff, he is super creative with the supplies he uses!

This guy makes seriously cool miniatures. One of my favorites was his windmill.

Does anyone know what adhesive was used?

My guess is thin super glue.
I have those long nozzle applicators for my super glue bottles as well. You can buy a bag of them cheap on Amazon.

If anyone knows where I can find a glue applicator like that I'd really appreciate it, been looking for a while but needle applicator as a search term is not helpful. I have to fix the speakers in the wife's car and this would make it possible.

This reminds of my childhood. I had to make my toys because I grew up poor. Cardboard boxes and bread wrappers were my fave. Throw in a garbage bag and I was able to build waterproof clubhouses outside.

I feel like diorama enthusiasts would pay decent money for something like that.

Ha. I have a real one exactly like this, only it's painted a now-faded white, like the wiring he used to create the miniature.

There’s a surprisingly huge community of miniature sculptors, i think it’s pretty cool. If you think this is wild, you should see the miniature food people manage to make. Or, even better, those stop motion videos with those mini dolls in a mini set making tiny mini foods!

The way he does it is just amazing. I especially like that it's all made from very simple materials

So... you could have used the paper clips for the whole thing, and the cutting of the headphones is engagement bait?

Needed to know if this was worth my time.
Now I hate that I spoiled it for myself

Why not just buy some solid core, insulated wire? Surely that would be far cheaper and easier than destroying headphone cords just to pull out the stranded wires and then painstakingly replace them with solid wire?
