Cannabis law reform and the 2026 election; an important reminder

This year's general election will have huge implications on the potential for cannabis law reform. Parties differ considerably in their positions on weed - It's worth looking into their policies and deciding for yourself where they stand.

There's also an important change to voting rules this year.

The deadline to enrol or update your enrolment is midnight Sunday 25 October

Unlike previous elections, you cannot enrol during advance voting or on election day. "Parliamentary scrutiny of the change raised concerns about the number of eligible New Zealanders who could consequently miss out on voting."

Key dates:

25 October: Enrolment closes

26 October: Advance voting begins

7 November: Election day

Check your enrolment at https://vote.nz.

Whatever your personal leanings, cannabis law reform remains an issue worth considering when voting.

I first soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hours. The beans which go to the bottom usually sprout better than the ones floating on the surface.

This time I scored an amazing 11/11 sprout rate. At 1-3cm long the sprouts go into coco filled socks and under the CFL light.

The socks sit on drainage trays so I can flush them in place. The cloth wrapped around the sides and dipped in water in the tray is a passive humidifier

I have a Flowermate Stylo with the regular mouthpiece. This one: https://flowermate.com/product/stylo-vaporizer/

The rubber bit that you take out of the mouthpiece to clean has gotten a bit stretched so the wee mesh screen falls out sometimes and I end up enhaling flower.

Does anyone else use the same one and has found replacement mouthpiece parts? I've done a bit of Googling and found a couple of places that had the mouthpiece (though not sure if it was just the plastic bit or the 'inner parts' too but they were out of stock, and other than that, nothing...

Music recommendations needed: Wife and kids still in bed, I'm about to get ripped on some banana dance and a cookies gg cross I bred back in the day. They have been curing for 6 weeks and smell devine.

Please feed me a sound track for the weekend .some mellow for the chillin part and some bangers for ripping the house to pieces and cleaning. Anything and everything you love.

What's your waster playlist?

Does having a prescription actually help you in a safety sensitive job for random tests, all the jobs i want are trade jobs meaning all of them are safety sensitive high chance urine tests. Any thoughts?

Purple Rain

Heya, does anyone know what the standard pre-employment process is for the TDDA? My contract says drugs and alcohol test - they breathalise for alcohol i think but unsure if its gonna be saliva or urine for the others.

Also, does anyone know that ng level they test at if it is urine? and does anyone know what level ng the SBM home tests are? Ive been getting a super faint line on them but if theyre a 50 and TDDA does 20 i might be cooked.

These two are my first grow, what do we think ?

I've recently come back from a trip in Europe and noticed they had "510 thread vape cartridges" with THC oil in it, enjoyed them a lot as it's a lot easier for travel and days when we were out and about!

How come these vape carts aren't prescribed through medical cannabis in NZ? (Genuine question)

Coming along nicely

This is my first grow and I was on here a week ago asking if I should dump these, but they're starting to come up.

These clones are almost 4 weeks old. I'm just wondering about whether I can top them now or if I should wait? I've looked up some topping vids on YouTube but I'm not confident because some nodes were already there when I cloned them and I'm unsure whether thats an issue.

I'd appreciate any feedback. Cheers

Going left to right we have a 4 assed monkey, a hubbabubbahaze and a stunted 3 bears OG.

Theres also a herbies amnesia haze auto freebie hiding closest to the camera, though i suspect its not an auto... if it never ends up flowering, I guess ill have a 3 month vegged plant!

First grow with autopots and I love the ease of use and low maintenance nature of them. Growing under a 720w LED turned down to 400w on a 24/0 cycle, inside a 4x4 tent.

Heya

f, 5'9, ~60kg

I have a pre-employment test on the 27th Oct... I am very anxious about passing and was hoping for some tips and any positive reassurance haha. I stopped cold turkey on the 24th Sept.

I was a daily smoker of flower - maybe a bowl and a half a night - weekends were heavier with multi times a day though. I had recently had about 1 1/2 week break but had picked it back up for another week before finding out about the test.

I've been drinking more water and will exercise some in the next few weeks. I also ordered some home test kits to try at days 25 & 30 for hopefully peace of mind. Any other tips or reassurances yall can offer :)

hey guys is this still safe to roll? or js buy another one?

G’day peoples I’ve been growing outside for ages. Situation has changed now I need a tent. I’m looking at 1.2x1.2x2m setups. Anyone that’s done this exercise or has knowledge of point me in the right direction. ( like the best complete kit setup available and the difference in light options and grow mediums/feeding) cheers in advance

Hi all. My GP said he can no longer prescribe me with medication as he doesn’t have enough experience with medical cannabis. My question is what can I do, it was wayyy cheaper going straight to a GP was only $20 every 3 months. I’m struggling to afford the medical as it is. What’s the best option for me. He has given me 3 month prescriptions for multiple meds for me while I figure out what to do next. Any help would be appreciated

Hey maing, got seeds off herbies, compared to former grows, and never bought Autos, how do you guys think this looks for like 4 weeks. Utilising 100 watt 4 seasons on mid light levels, never used led before, got a 100 watt 4 seasons light in a shortish tent…put warmed, germinated seeds in “Black Magic” Mitre 10 brand soil….opinions and recommendations appreciated…much love yo…

Went away for a week, auto pots doing their thing etc
Plant was showing early signs of this but week later she’s cooked.
Day 58 since flip, have to pull right. No other option!
Second plant jumping on board now too. What is it? Have been battling thrips along the way.
