Every night I meet up with a stray park cat. We've never touched, but it's my favorite part of the day.
A few months back I bumped into a very skittish stray cat while sitting at a park late at night to clear my head. I love cats and always keep food on me just in case so I started opening a can of cat food and setting it down for him.
At first he had no idea what to make of me and seemed very hesitant to eat the food. Regardless, I kept coming back every night at the same time and leaving food.
Now it's our nightly routine and the best part of my day. I show up around the same time with canned food and fresh water. He comes out from the bushes, eats, grooms himself, and just hangs out nearby in the grass for a while before slipping away into the night. We’ve still never petted or touched, and I don't force it. But seeing him gain weight, look healthier, and slowly realize he's safe around me has been the brightest part of my day. He’s got a super cute pattern that looks like random spots but when he sits or loafs, the spots turn into a big heart. ♥️ I think deep down he’s actually a softie lol. I named him Robbie because his fur reminds me of Robbie’s heart jacket from Gravity Falls. (Iykyk) Just wanted to share a little pawsitivity! 🐾😊

I just moved to this upstairs unit 2 months ago and there’s 3 different cats that will randomly walk upstairs and be waiting onside when I open the door. Only 1 has actually come inside so far.

Not my cats
Dont know where they come from, but these 3 sweet kitties often stop by for a visit ❤️ Pretty sure they're siblings. The orange & the gray both loves pats! Total lovebugs! The calico likes to sit a little further away & watch everything lol

Came back to our hotel room in Paphos, Cyprus. None of these cats are ours. All of them disagree.
They live around our aparthotel and let themselves in whenever the door is open. We just provide the bed.

"Damnnn!" Cat: An Update, Over 200 Days Later
SO, you might have seen this post a while back, which unexpectedly got over 15k upvotes 😅
I found the owner! We're in semi regular contact and he's very happy for her to get snacks. At this point, Patch (that's her name!) is basically my part-time cat!
My awful housemate and his clutter GONE FOREVER - I was defending his ass in the og post but it was the beginning of the end when he turned round to me and said "You're not still feeding that cat, are you?" and completely ignored her whenever she came to our door. wtf.
Patch is still coming to visit every day, and my new housemate adores her! We hang out with her in my greenhouse most nights. She loves this camping chair with a blanket over it.
I adopted my own kitty, also a Tortie 🥹 Second to last pic is them meeting for the first time! Unfortunately they don't get along, but it's okay bc my new baby is indoors only
See pics :) Happy to answer any more questions folks may have!

Tony's Still Notmycat, but I am starting to believe, I don't have a choice
Tony was always cool with me outside when doggos would play. I posted a post on him when he found a spot on the other side of the house a few days ago. He's now claimed a spot beside me.

Not my cat, but apparently he's achieved inner peace in my backyard
Look at that face. Not a single bill to pay, not a deadline in sight, just pure happiness. Meanwhile I'm over here wondering what life decisions led to a neighborhood cat being more relaxed than I've ever been.
Anyone else getting life advice from a cat that doesn't even belong to them?

Neighbor's cat
This cat has been roaming around near our doorway. Previous neighbor moved house and left this cutiepie. I cannot pet this baby as I am unable. My mom feeds it though.

Neighborhood stray found herself a lap.
We call her "Georgie" but she is not our cat. She visits quite often and is very chatty and affectionate.

My Mum just sent me this photo of her neighbour's kittens
and I can't stop laughing at it. Apparently they were watching a 'beastie' (an unspecified insect for non-Scottish readers) on the windscreen of the car 😄
