Decided to rewatch SASUKE 6 last night (the 15-minute Youtube playback). I saw again Yamada’s horrible ending where he got both feet down on the platform completing the Pipe Slider, but lost balance and dropped into the water seconds after.

I’m kinda confused though. Yamada clearly gets both feet down (not just one toe on the platform) — he has both feet down on the red finish mat for a good second, then loses his balance, then slips. But didn’t he already clear the course? There’s no buzzer in Stage 3. This never made sense to me. I feel like Yamada got screwed.

This would be like if in an ANW City Qualifiers, a dude goes up the Warped Wall fast, hits the buzzer from the tip of the ladder, falls down and off the wall completely, and gets his entire run voided.

I don’t think there’s some official “rulebook” for Sasuke, but I feel like that should’ve counted as a clear. What are your thoughts?

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone knew where to train for the actual ninja warrior in or around Sydney Australia as I’ve never been on a full course and might need to know how to soon.

any suggestions would mean the world!!!

In recent seasons we have had people make returns after years away so I want to know who you want. Personally I want Kawashima Takayuki to come back cause that means it would be cool to see one of the youngest people in the old times be one of the originals in the new times

Going by this picture of the Shrinking Steps it seems that the Tripleheader has returned for Season 19

These are some known/speculated obstacles for ANW19/ANW20

Jawbreakers

Bouncing Spider

Slingshot

Pole Vault

Swinging Frames

Salmon Ladder

Floating Monkey Bars

Hourglass Drop

Flipped Around

Warped Wall

Rope Climb

Invisible Ladder

Shrinking Steps

Spring Forward

Bounce House

Weight For It

Spinning Bridge

There were a lot of big improvements this year from competitors like Ryan Cooper, Weston Boswell, and Dylan Yee but the biggest one has to be Nathanaël Honvou as he went from failing the second obstacle to getting 8th place of the season

I posted a video where I played Ninja Challenge on Roblox which is based on American Ninja Warrior. Any support and feedback would be greatly appreciated! https://youtu.be/SNLu7ZHt_gM?is=wNRVQaBIjhLHe7tZ

National Finals Prelims — The Draft & The Clock

The top 24 ninjas from Qualifiers become Silver Captains, ranked by time. Each drafts a partner to form 24 duos.

Both ninjas separately tackle the traditional eight-obstacle course. Their times are combined, with penalties for failed obstacles. The 12 fastest duos advance.

Stage 1 — The Relay Race

The 12 duos compete on an eight-obstacle relay course.

Partner A completes the first four obstacles and hits a buzzer, releasing Partner B for the final four.

The six fastest duos advance.

Stage 2 — The Speed Gauntlet

The duos dissolve, returning competition to individual runs.

Ninjas face a strict time limit on an upper-body and agility-heavy course.

The fastest ninja wins a $25,000 Silver Bonus.

Stage 3 — The Top 3 Showdown

The remaining ninjas face a grueling upper-body endurance course with no time limit.

A live leaderboard tracks how far and how quickly each ninja progresses.

The top three advance to Mt. Midoriyama.

Stage 4 — Mt. Midoriyama: The Pure Speed Triple Race

For the first time, the traditional 30-second rope-climb clock is removed.

The final three ninjas climb three identical 75-foot ropes simultaneously.

The first to hit the buzzer wins the $1 million grand prize.

The second- and third-place finishers each receive a Silver Cup and $100,000.

Decided to cook a little something out of boredom, since some of the BGMs used in-show lived in my head rent free lol

Fascinating new interview with Herman and a breakdown of season 18...https://www.boston.com/culture/tv/2026/09/03/addy-herman-new-england-contestants-season-18-nbc-american-ninja-warrior/?p1=hp_secondary

I was obsessed with this show when I was a kid but I can only track down incomplete episodes in like 360p on youtube :( I'm especially wanting to watch the older seasons (8 and before) but would be excited to find anything
