Cerebellar Hypoplasia ("Stevie Syndrome") Meet Ramsay ❤️ A sweet Siamese with severe CH, making his way around his rescue home
Ramsay is one of my favourite residents at Friends of Felines Rescue Center in Defiance, Ohio ❤️
FFRC is a donation-supported, cage-free, no-kill rescue. Alongside finding homes for cats, they provide a permanent home for residents who need ongoing care and assistance. Several of Ramsay’s fellow residents also have CH, each with their own personality and ways of getting around.
I’m a supporter watching from New Zealand and have become very attached to him. Thought you might enjoy meeting him too 😊 Their YouTube channel has more videos and livestreams if you’d like to get to know Ramsay and the other cats.

Question/Discussion What do yall do with broken whiskers?
Every once in a while, Macchi’s trips lead to broken whiskers, where the whiskers are bent but still attached. I trim the ones above his eyes, cause they fall into his eyes and seem to bug him. Is this the right thing to do? What about when the whiskers on his cheeks are broken?

Question/Discussion Kitten with possible CH.. How should I accommodate?
Hello, I found a stray kitten around a few months old (less than 6m) and am not educated on how to cause the least issues for a cat with CH. I know what it is, how it works, and that it isn't painful (unless they were obviously injured) but I'm unsure how I can make the kitten comfortable while trying to learn how to be a cat and how to make my place more accessible for one that's just learning how to move around. Should I keep my place traditionally catproofed or should I also look into padding the walls? My floor is padded already for my own issues. I'm unsure if I should be using alternative furniture for her (such as supports to keep her as stable as possible while passing a bowel movement or eating) as we are still unsure how severe it is. I have kept cats before but all were able bodied so it is new for me to have a CH cat. Please be nice to me as I really just want to learn.

Cerebellar Hypoplasia ("Stevie Syndrome") Toilet time with Kumo
Sorry about the low quality of the photo, but it's not easy to take a pic mid-HAP (Human Assisted Peeing). I still need to give her a bit of support so that she doesn't fall on her back;)
Sometimes she can grab ahold of the litter box rim and stand up without my assistance, but I think she's getting better at this whole toilet business:) It's been over two weeks without a single pee/poo incident and she's great at communicating when she needs to go. She even tried going to the low-rim litter box all by herself!
It's small things but it's amazing how much progress she's made in the short time she's been living with me:)

Cerebellar Hypoplasia ("Stevie Syndrome") Christmas card photo sneak peek 👀
The only bad thing about getting Phoebe’s Christmas card photos done is *not* sharing them immediately with y’all!
If you’d like a Phoebe card, message me your mailing address (hope this is allowed, you don’t have to use your real name!). I’ll send out as many as I’m able — no strings, just bc we love Phoebe’s phriends 💛

Cerebellar Hypoplasia ("Stevie Syndrome") Smoll wobbler
Hello all, I found this little boy on roadway shoulder. I’m so worried about him. is this worst tier of CH? is it possible that he will develop some compensation? will he be able to walk or stabilize himself for a while? how was your kittens at the age of about 8 weeks?

Cerebellar Hypoplasia ("Stevie Syndrome") I almost have too many wobbly fosteroos to keep up with — almost!
Cera (more white) has mild CH and brother Rex (fluffy, more black) does not.
Truly the best thing about their situation is that Rex and Cera have each other. 6-week-long quarantine is so awful for a single young kitten that I’d almost consider exposing another kitten to ringworm and treating them both just to prevent a solo kitten having to be on their own for so long 🫣
