Lebron last year was 20.9/7.2/6.1 (pts/asts/reb) shooting 51.5% from the floor in 60 total games.

Magic’s peak (86-87) was 23.9/12.2/6.3 shooting 52.2% in 80 total games.

So unless by “regress” you mean improve, it is indeed a crazy statement.

Whether its 40, 60, or 80 games... My point is that it's insane for a 41 year old player to play at a comparable level to prime Magic Johnson for any stretch of games. Which even if it's not many, will likely be the case that LeBron shows those flashes this year.
