Hello again! I recently posted asking the community how they felt about the large amount of posts asking for help for shelter dogs. Nobody who responded was in favor of keeping them, and many of you felt strongly in favor of removing them from the subreddit.
Therefore, from now on, posts asking for help for dogs are not permitted. This includes both requests for adoption and donations.
Just as a heads up, I will be removing posts from before this announcement to reduce some of the clutter for people wanting to scroll the sub. If your post is removed, don't worry! I'm just cleaning up. However, I will enforce the rule as usual on posts created after this announcement goes live.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

She's just the cutest! We got her DNA last Christmas and it really surprised us!
She's 45% Siberian Husky, 23% Labrador, 11% Great Pyrenees, 5% Alaskan Malamute, 5% Staffy, 5% Pitty, 2% Jindo, 2% Golden Retriever, and 2% Chihuahua. And 100% Cute!
This is scooby!
He’s 6 yrs old and a mix beteen border x Aussie.
He was a very crazy pup haha, but when he got older he got more relaxed, he can be kinda anxious as well, but I know how to handle that ((:
He also doesn’t look like an Aussie, but also not like an border cause of his nose 😭😂

Everyone meet Remington, aka Remi! 🐾❤️
He’s about 3 months old, and we’ve only had him for 11 days (since October 3rd), but I am seriously obsessed with this dog. I know everyone thinks their dog is the best dog, but I’m pretty sure I actually got the best one. 😂
Remi and his four siblings were found under a trailer near the NC/SC border. I don’t know much about what his life was like before being rescued, but I’m so thankful someone found them. And I’m even more thankful that somehow this sweet little guy ended up with us. ❤️
He’s still just a baby, but he’s SO ridiculously smart. He’s already picking up commands, learning his name, and figuring things out so quickly. I used to work as an ABA therapist, and it’s honestly been really fun seeing how much of that experience translates into training him. I’m used to breaking skills down into smaller steps, using positive reinforcement, figuring out what motivates someone, and gradually fading prompts. Apparently those skills come in pretty handy when you’re raising a puppy too! 😂 He’s extremely food motivated, and watching him make connections and figure out what I’m asking him to do has been so rewarding.
We’ve also been getting him all sorts of IQ puzzles and enrichment toys, and he absolutely LOVES them. He’s figured out his puzzles way faster than I expected. You can practically see his little brain working, and I’m constantly trying to find something that’ll actually challenge him.
His personality is probably my favorite thing about him though. He’s genuinely the most laid-back puppy I’ve ever met. He’s not reactive around food, having his paws handled, lights, sounds, kids, or other dogs. Obviously he’s still young and learning, but so far he’s been incredibly easygoing about pretty much everything.
We took him to Lowe’s and walked right past those giant Halloween and Christmas decorations that move and make noise, and he didn’t even flinch. The vacuum doesn’t bother him either. It’s like he missed the memo that puppies are supposed to be startled by things. 😂
Even on walks he’s such a funny little guy. He loves taking everything in, sniffing around, and checking things out at his own pace. We’ve encountered dogs that are barking and losing their minds, and Remi will get curious for a minute, maybe bark back once or twice, and then decide he’s over it. He’s literally laid down while another dog was trying to get him to play. 😂
He’s also a bit of a lazy boy, which honestly makes him even more perfect to me. He loves lounging around, especially on the kitchen floor near his food and water bowls, or curled up somewhere comfy. But the second I bring out one of his treat-dispensing balls, he’s suddenly got all the energy in the world. He’ll chase it around like crazy until he inevitably gets it stuck under furniture, and then he’ll whine or bark at us to come help him. Apparently we’re his personal puzzle-solving assistants.
And he’s just SO sweet. He’s gentle, curious, observant, and loves being near us. He’s not constantly demanding attention or bouncing off the walls. He’s just happy hanging out with his people, and I absolutely adore that about him.
I genuinely can’t believe how much he’s learned and how comfortable he’s gotten in such a short amount of time. It’s only been 11 days, but I already can’t imagine our house without him.
We have absolutely no idea what breeds are mixed into this handsome little guy, so we’re waiting on his Embark results! I’m ridiculously excited to find out what combination made this perfect little weirdo. 😂
Anyway, there’s really no point to this post other than the fact that I love this dog an unreasonable amount and wanted to show him off.
So please enjoy some pictures of Remi, the bestest, smartest, silliest little boy. 🥹❤️🐾

This is Crash (like the Bandicoot) Mordecai (like the skyfowl changeling).
It’s been exactly one month since I brought him home. He’s so smart, a tiny little thief, has alllll the energy, and is a terrorist in my 4 cats’ eyes (he just wants to play 😂). Potty training is a work in progress but once he’s all vaccinated we can have more time outside in the world to learn to be a big dawg and go potty out there. We WILL be doing basic puppy training. He is a mix of all the smart, stubborn little dogs 😂, with a literal drop of German shepherd in his ancestry. The first picture is him at a solid 2 pounds. I can’t wait to see him fully grown 🥹 My first time having a puppy and not adopting an adult. I had my worries but this little guy is a 10/10.

Jack made it all the way from Texas to Washington where we adopted him at three months. He turned three in August and I am obsessed with him.

Meet Khaleesi! 10 month old bundle of terror - please tell me she will be a sweetheart when she's older? Haha, she's a cutie though.
Struggling with her training- very stubborn, but she is super smart.
I did an Embark and Orivet DNA test on her, and her results were interesting.
Her mom is slender, lean, black coat with brown spotted legs (Doberman Lab mix)
Her dad is a huge black and white lab mix.
Her coat coloring is interesting.

She's 11 years old, and it's a mexican mutt of German Shepherd (mom) and an unknown mutt (dad). Adopted by accident when I was in junior high on my way home from Dia de Independencia's celebration kermés (fair) when she was just a puppy :) so that's her birthday! (Sept. 16)

When we first got him, he was 2 pounds at 2 months old, now he's 60 pounds at 16 months! We were like "how does a dog that small get that big so fast!?" so we were curious on what he was. Now, we finally have results!!

Hi I’m new to the group and wanted to show my girl, Zelma. We were told she’s lab/beagle mix. We know the mom was full blooded beagle not too sure on the father. She’s 3 and she’s such a good dog. My daughter brought her home as a puppy and at first I was not happy. She’s grown on me and I love her so much, she’s my riding partner.

Suni is glued to you when you're home. She had her back leg amputated when she was rescued.
Third photo is where they wait for mom to come home from work.
