I poked it but it just turned into ash. There were no signs of a fire nearby. It did however love the branch I found it on.

Hello all, i am a noob when it comes to mushrooms and i have zero knowledge on them. The reason for this is because my GF got a call from her mother and her mother is panicking because her and her Bf ate some mushrooms that they found out in the wild. She is in Central Illinois, USA. Around the Peoria, illinois area. Her BF is experiencing severe vomiting from eating the mushrooms but my GF’s Mother is not experiencing any symptoms from eating them. Could anyone identify these mushrooms to see if they have eaten something really bad?
UPDATE: The mushrooms were just coincidental with what was actually going on. He has a history of heart problems and a condition that causes his blood to be thick and toxic to his own body. He went to the emergency room because he was concerned about his history and it turns out that he is not sick because of the mushrooms but because his blood toxicity is too high and he needed a blood dump. So thank you to every person who responded in a positive manner instead of calling him and her mother morons! :)

A friend of mine said brown rim but google says it could be a jack-o-lantern or something in that family. Anyone able to help me out with this? Just want to make sure I won't die a horrid, painful death or something if I accidentally brush against it in the garden. No plans on picking or eating them obviously. It's autumn here in the UK at the moment and we've had a few spurts of heavy rain in the last couple of months.

Located on a felled dead tree(cut that day which is why I didn't leave much stem, it's going to be cut for firewood) I'm fairly certain it's an oyster mushroom but wanted to confirm for obvious reasons! The largest are almost handsized
Are there many that look alike but are truly bad to eat? And if it is Oyster can I redistribute to new spots?
Thank you thank you!

I think they’re oyster mushrooms but want to double check with people who know more. Also, if they’re oysters, does anyone know subspecies?

(Türkiye, Ankara-Kızılcıhamam soğuksu National Park) I enjoy hiking in nature, so I come across many mushrooms. Therefore I want to learn more about mushrooms. But when I ask someone about mushrooms they usually say "oh that mushrooms is delicious but there is a deadly mushroom with the same Appearance so don't eat it" So is there a book like that or something like that to identify mushrooms?
And which mushroom is that?

Found this and some others about 10 feet away from a fit tree in the Pacific Northwest.
"Bleeds" orange turns greenish on the bruising, and the "blood" dries orange.
Am I looking at a bleeding milk cap?
Thank you all, first time asking For IDs.

Found this in my prairie yard. Location Saline MI (Ann arbor). Cross sectional picture attached. Found another one that was yellowish brown and emitting puff material when agitated. Looking for confirmation and still within edible range. Not looking for any hospital visits :)

At first I thought it was a rubber ball, but when I tried to take it I realised it was attached to the branch. It was squishy almost like rubber and it was smelling like some kind of spice. There were a few more I tried to rip it off but I couldn't. what is that?
