A lot of people were disappointed in a post a couple of days ago about this movie not coming to Moncton. I guess reaching out to them must have worked, because this morning I was literally planning a drive to Fredericton to see it and discovered it will be at the Dieppe Cineplex starting this Friday.

Figured I’d make a post here because I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t stumbled on it by chance, and a lot of other people really wanted to see it. Very excited for this one!

Or permission to use it. The market definitely doesn’t have glass bay doors…

Just wondering if anyone knows why the vacant lot at the southwest corner of Vaughn Harvey Blvd. and St. George Blvd. has not been developed to date. It's a large parcel in a prime location. I'm surprised someone hasn't built an apartment building there similar to what was developed on the corner of Vaughn Harvey and West Main a couple of years ago. Is there contamination on the site?

Hey! If you happen to be the owner of one of those grey Tesla SUVs, and we’re parked in the sports rock parking lot around 5:30-6:00 today, (Sunday) I watched someone back into your car, get out to check, and drive away.

I wrote down the guys plate. If that’s your car, and you need buddies information, please reach out. The alarms went off so I’m hoping your Tesla has like an accident recording thing. But please dm me if you need the plate for a report. No damage was visible.

Hi all,

My son's costume is a bit too small on him and I am just wondering where people go for costumes. I was going to go to Value Village, but a few co&workers told me to avoid it. Where do you all go?

Just wondering if folks have leads on if/when this movie will be available at either the Dieppe Cineplex or the Trinity one?
Nothing on their websites, not even in the upcoming section…
I find it really odd to not see it showing at at least one of out theatres, as this movie has a LOT of hype behind it!

Saint John also has it, that’s where we ended up going up to see it! Fredericton also has it and is fully sold out, at least for today, but they recently renovated their theatres and essentially reduced the capacity in half with their new seats, so not entirely surprising.

Hi everyone, I started getting louder noise in my car this week, and I think there's crack in exhaust pipe. Could you please recommend some nice and budget friendly shops to get it fixed.

I did called some shops but the appointment they gave is after 2-3 weeks, am I good to drive in that time or will affect any other thing in the car? I drive around 20-25 min daily to and fro to work.

Thank you all!!

Hey everyone! I just realized that the movie version of Ozzy’s final show is coming to theatres, and apparently the Cineplex on Trinity Drive is the only theatre in NB showing it.

I’m planning to travel down from Fredericton just to catch it, and I was surprised to see there are still plenty of seats left. Is anyone else from the area planning to go see it?

This local art gallery took one of my photos and ran it through AI to alter it a bit. You can tell by how the Assumption building is missing 10+ stories lol. **Edit - Andal Building, it's only missing a story or two

I sent them a message, and they basically told me to go away and to take it up with the guy they hired for advertising (Day Socials). They said "he needed a nice photo of the market, so he took yours"

Anyway... thanks for supporting the arts "Iceberg Contemporary Art", and shoutout to DaySocials for using my work and getting paid to run it through AI, truly incredible.

I’m curious to see what people are making out there in 2026? If you’re up for it share your industry, salary and years of experience. (Obviously be vague enough to not dox yourselves)

Do you find that’s enough to get by or Is inflation pushing you into debt?

Can anyone fill me in on what happened with the NB-895 road? Why the work was done, what was done, when it may become properly paved again (if ever) if it's not already. If there's a place I should be keeping tabs on to know that would be appreciated as well.

For context I'm a cyclist and the 895 is unavoidable to a degree as part of my "more interesting" routes that go out to the reservoir and then onto Nixon to various areas, so thus why I'm interested. I just didn't go that way last year or this year aside from Coverdale all the way to Salisbury or opting for going straight to Caledonia Mountain via the reservoir. Those are both fine but variety is nice.

Thanks!

Not a burrito, just a plate of rice&beans home-cooking style. Mexican would be ideal, but I'm open to e.g. Caribbean, South American, &c. Is there any place in town that serves this type of food?

Hey, has anyone here taken the one year civil engineering technician program at NBCC? Was it helpful with finding work? What kind of work did you end up getting? Looking to go back to school!

What do you guys think of the Paralegal program in Oulton? Would it help in finding a related to that after the program?

My daughter is moving into her apartment (her first) in November. Any suggestions on a broker or insurer for tenant's insurance?

Thanks

I guess this is kinda like an informal demographic study, but im curious what kinda bikes folks around here drive, and what age group they fall into?

Halloween costumes on October 30th? I’m just wonderin if anyone else is planning on wearing a costume. I’m going to be Frank N Furter. Also, just wonderin if they take crowd pics with the general crowd after the show or thats only for the jacked up ticket holders? Might be worth looking like me in that case

Looking to see if anyone going to halifax tmr might have an empty seat. Had a family emergency and just moved into a new place a few days ago, so no money to buy a bus ticket last minute...

Can you still get your ears drained/flushed if they are blocked at a pharmacy? Does anyone know where you can get this done?

Last week I posted the cover of a small zine (free) about Moncton and a lot of you asked where to find it. Thank you so much for all the spot ideas!

I left some free copies at Epoch Chemistry (thank you for letting me!). There aren’t many, so first come, first served. (This because of the cost hahaha, sorry I am still trying to do some for you all and survive)

Someone asked for a digital version, so you can flip through the whole thing here: https://www.loui61.com/zine-digital

One more thing. A few of you asked if I used AI. Nope, every photo is real hahaha. So I’m thinking about a small monthly photo club: one real printed photo of Moncton in your mailbox each month, with a little note about the place and a couple of goodies. If that sounds like your thing, there’s a short waitlist on the same page. Nothing to pay, I just want to see if it makes sense before I start.

Thank you r/moncton, you made my first year here feel a little more like home.
