Hello /r/Modesto,
Ballots have been mailed, you should see yours in the mail soon.
Please take the time to review your voting guide and take the time to fill out and turn in your ballot.
For a voting guide overview, please see CalMatters 2026 Voter Guide here: https://calmatters.org/california-voter-guide-2026/
Take a few minutes to review the propositions, see who supports each side and why, then make an informed decision. The CalMatters site above has a little quiz that can help you make sense of the props if needed.
For local races (and another nonpartisan general guide to statewide races and props) see Modesto Bee's Voter Guide here: https://www.modbee.com/news/politics-government/election/voter-guide/article317493442.html#county-stanislaus
Remember that local races have a much larger effect on you and your community than the bombastic federal races. Take care to vote with intent in local races!
Voting is a civic duty to our community and country. If I could have my way, I'd make voting mandatory and make election day a federal holiday, but I digress.
See you all early November for the results.
