Image Modern Warfare 4 currently has 93% positive reviews on Steam

The negative reviews seem to be related to performance issues, but otherwise it seems everyone loves the campaign. I wonder how it will settle once DMZ and MP come out. But if I'm not mistaken, this is the highest rated a CoD on Steam has ever been, right?

EDIT: Just checked, the only CoD with a higher positive rating is the original Call of Duty from 2003 at a 94% positive review rating, with Black Ops II, CoD 4 and World At War tying for third place at 92%.

Feedback MW4 While Stationed in Korea

• Upvotes

So I'm currently active duty, stationed in Korea, and I thought it'd be funny to show the KATUSAs (Korean soldiers assigned to us) in my office the campaign of MW4. Obviously theres a lot of creative liberties taken to serve the larger narrative of the COD franchise and ignores a few real world realities.

Hats off to the developers for getting a lot of details correct; we were pointing and laughing at small things we noticed or found relatable.

The beginning scene with them going to the convenience store while wearing their gear was uncanny cuz we literally do that all the time.

It was neat having the KATUSAs explain more of the subtleties of the Korean language and history, etc, cuz even though we're here to help defend the peninsula, I'm very much an outsider looking in so theres a lot I wouldn't know.

This dude made an already amazing campaign even better, imo he's probably the most memorable character in the entire mw4 campaign. always found him as a dope friend

Graves was one of the most well written original characters of the reboot. It’s sad that he didn’t even have the chance to fully redeem himself after what happened in MW3

Discussion Modern Warfare 4 is the first campaign in a LONG time where 'the call of duty' was a major theme

Title. Call of Duty has just been synonymous with repetitive product that most people, especially players themselves, forget that the title used to actually mean something. To answer the call, to fight, to endure, to duty.

This campaign was the first in a long time where I saw a character change themselves and adapt to answer that call. Just one key and important thing that a lot of people gloss over, but to me it meant a lot to see, making the story that much better. That's just one of the reasons why it's so good.

Discussion To Everyone Behind the Modern Warfare 4 Campaign: Thank You

To Everyone Behind the Modern Warfare 4 Campaign: Thank You

I want to take a moment to recognize and thank the people responsible for bringing the Modern Warfare 4 campaign to life.

When we play a campaign, we see the finished product on our screens. We experience the story, the characters, the intensity of the battles, the cinematics, the sound design, and the moments that stay with us long after we put the controller down. What we don't always see is the enormous amount of work, creativity, collaboration, and dedication that goes into making it all happen.

Behind every mission, every line of dialogue, every environment, every animation, and every carefully crafted moment are people who contributed their time, knowledge, and talent to make this experience possible.

To the writers who shaped the story, the designers who built its missions, the artists who created its world, the programmers who made it work, the performers who brought its characters to life, the audio teams who gave it atmosphere, and the testers who worked to make it all come together: thank you.

And to everyone whose contribution might never receive individual recognition, please know that your work matters, too.

It's easy for us as players to focus on reviews, criticism, technical issues, and what we wish a game had done differently. Feedback is important, and no game is beyond criticism. But I also think it's important to stop occasionally and acknowledge the human effort behind something that millions of people get to experience.

A major game doesn't simply appear out of nowhere. It takes people working together across different disciplines, often for years, to turn ideas into something we can experience from the other side of a screen.

So, regardless of our individual opinions about particular features or design decisions, I want to offer a sincere thank-you to everyone who helped create the Modern Warfare 4 campaign.

You put in the work so that we could step into another world, experience a story, and create memories of our own. That deserves recognition.

From one player to the people behind the controller's other side: thank you for your time, your talent, and your effort.

You may not always see the appreciation behind every screen, but it is there.

Keep creating. Keep pushing yourselves. And know that your work doesn't go unnoticed by all of us.

Respect to the entire team.
