This packet of noodles requires you to have "happy thoughts" as part of the cooking process

Why? If you use the kettle process only the noodles needs to be tender and have happy thoughts. You can be as sad as you want.

It wasn't you to wait till the noodles are tender and have happy thoughts

It appears to change based on if you're cooking it on the stove vs. in the microwave...

Oh, ok, so if you're depressed, you can use the kettle 👍

Oh you are right. I slimmed the microwave instructions and completely missed that

"If you don't have happy thoughts, store bought is fine."

I like the “slurp like you’ve never slurped before”.

Actually it requires you to wait until the noodles are tender and they have happy thoughts

Does that have to be in that order? What if you start having happy thoughts before #4?

Not sure I've ever had happy thoughts while eating microwave noodles

Kettles seem to provide the happiness in the noodles, or perhaps microwaves strip it out and that’s why you have to add it yourself.

I'm always fanciefying my noodle soups. Adding to the broth, maybe some extra garnish. Doing so make me happy. As I feel like im treating myself to a little something extra.

Favorite additions for me: fresh, pre-washed sliced mushrooms (can be frozen for freshness if needed, add about a minute before cooking is done), broccoli cuts (also frozen), fresh parsley

I don’t know why it took my brain a minute to work out “pre-washed”.

I mean, I’m well aware I’m an idiot, but that one shouldn’t have been so difficult for me.

I was thinking, “so you do it before they’re washed?”

And then it hit me, “no you idiot, you wash them first. You pre-wash them. Durrrrr.”

I shouldn’t have even shared this to be honest. I should be ashamed to be so stupid.

well, I just spent 60 seconds scanning the bag trying to figure out where it said to pre-wash the noodles before I realized haha, so...

happy cake day!

3

u/whatintheeverloving 8h ago

Thank you!

... well, shoot, now my rage has been quelled. Guess I'm making happy pho after all.

2

u/squeefruit 8h ago

I almost said "Angry cake day!" but perhaps the happy thoughts can go towards the cake, angry pho aside...

Angry pho with happy cake for dessert? I'm in!

You have to look at the end of the aisle, stupid. In the MSG section. Said to me by a cook
