Help Ask for help here

Microsoftsucks is not a techsupport subreddit, but naturally because people come to this subreddit after having a problem with a Microsoft product which made then say "Microsoft sucks! I am fed up!", they are going to make a post to ask for help! and sometimes a post from this subreddit is going to show up on the search results and that leads people to then ask for help here. Which is a nice way the subreddit gets promoted to people who never thought of Microsoft being so bad

If you need help recovering your account, see this https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsucks/comments/1torso3/how_to_recover_your_hacked_microsoft_account/

Also, a disclaimer on scammers https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsucks/comments/1u3g5mf/a_psa_against_scammers/

There's other subreddits that could be better at helping you. Like r/techsupport or r/windowshelp.

You can only ask for help in this megathread. Posts will be removed

Stop Microsoft from adding ads to Xbox games

Thumbnail

Microsoft is reportedly planning to add ads directly into Xbox games. Let that sink in for a moment.

For a lot of us, gaming is the one place where we can actually escape the constant ads and commercialism. You load up a game to get lost in a story, test your skills, or just decompress—not to get interrupted by corporate sponsors. If ads start popping up mid-gameplay, that whole experience falls apart.

I started a petition to push back on this. The gaming industry is thriving (worth over $150 billion globally), and there are plenty of ways for companies to make money without breaking immersion—cosmetics, battle passes, DLC that actually adds value. Ads in games just feel like greed disguised as "monetization."

Has anyone else noticed how ads are creeping into everything we used to have to ourselves? Curious if this bothers you as much as it bothers me. If it does, consider signing and sharing the petition. It only takes a minute, and it sends a real message that we care about keeping games the way they should be.

Microsoft Took My Money (this got removed from r/microsoft for being a "support post" even though it f###ing isn't.) Satya Nadella, why do you hate me? do you enjoy making your customers miserable? I can't use my newly shipped Xbox because Microsoft locked my account and blocked recovery.

I just want to express how unfathomably disappointed I am with Microsoft since they make it completely impossible to actually contact them. I have been a customer for over 6 years. Now all of a sudden I get essentially banned because I log in in a different location on a different device, I tried every different log in method and none worked. So cool having a 300 dollar paperweight because Microsoft doesn't know the difference between a hacker and the literal owner of the account. Satya Nadella should be ashamed.

rant Have problem, need solution

I was starting a new computer with installed win11 and at the start micro(shit)soft account asked me to sign in, because I couldn't proceed otherwise.

So, I sign in and win11 does the updates and restarts. After the restart the microshit account asks for a sign in again;

I do it,

it says- you will get a code on your mail to verify you are you

I type in the code,

it says are you a parent or a child?

I say a parent,

it says: You need to sign in with your account to verify.

What????

I am signing in with my account!!!!

Anybody have any sane ideas how to bypass this loop??

I tried everthing that microshit has proposed on its sign in helper page and some stuff AI said to try.

Its been two days of trying to sign back in. At one point I got back in, entered windows, tried to turn off the "always sign in" mode, but microshit wouldn't let me do it without signing in again!!

rant Sanity checking my shortlist for azure microsoft support

We've narrowed it down to two or three options for Microsoft support coverage across our Azure and M365 environment. Before we commit i wanted to run it by people who've actually been through this process. Main things we're weighing are response times on critical issues and whether third-party providers can actually resolve things or just relay tickets. What has your experience been ?

Microsoft AI

Good afternoon I am currently taking a marketing class where I am researching peoples perception on Microsoft and AI.
If y'all could take the survey it would help a lot!

Here's the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexC1PYqR6gkfhnmjfnQ1bf6rZ9k1mA6Im_XKfsfv6r9ginFA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=105184181473021926744

Windows or another product Outlook automatically clicks the “unsubscribe” hyperlink of malicious emails when reporting them as phishing.

I am struggling to replicate this issue but I wish I were able to clip it.

In outlook desktop (for windows 11) I utilized the built in tool to report an email as phishing (it was a false trust wallet email) and upon clicking “report phishing” I was automatically redirected to the unsubscribe page from the email in my browser.

This level of security incompetence is unfathomable, and if this is intended behavior, rather than a strange error I am shocked.

There is nothing special or safe about the unsubscribe links of emails. It is just a URL to a webpage. Having your email client automatically open a link on an email I AM TELLING YOU IS MALICIOUS is nuts.

JD Vance announces the suspension of Microsoft from the PERM green card program, accusing the company of laying off 6,000 American workers while securing 6,300 H-1B visas: "You cannot lay off American workers and then replace them with foreign indentured servants."
