I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I was curious of a medium’s opinion on this. There’s a girl my age in my town who died a long time ago, before i was even born. She died in a car accident and she has a little cross on the side of the road. It was really worn down and snapped in half, so with the family’s permission i built a new one and replaced it. I always go and re decorate it for the seasons and spend time talking to her about whatever. For her birthday I bought her a little softball bracelet and put it there since I know she played that. I know it might seem weird but I just feel so connected to her and I feel sad that no one else visits her anymore. Do you guys think she knows about me? Do you think she’s there when I talk to her and tell her about my life? Do you think she knows her memorial is still being honored?

Hello! Maybe this isn’t a weird question, but something happened during meditation the other day that made me curious.

My partner passed away a few months ago, and he’s the reason I started meditating in the first place. (I meditate almost daily). The other day I suddenly have this urge to meditate, I even thought that maybe something important will come up. So I do, I let my thoughts come and go without trying to control them, and suddenly, I started seeing pears in my mind. I tried to brush it off, but the image kept coming back. So, in my thoughts, I asked my partner, “What is it? Do you want me to bring you pears?” And then I suddenly remembered that he absolutely LOVED pears. I even got upset with myself for taking a moment to remember that.

So, my question is, can our loved ones who have passed away actually crave or desire certain foods? I thought about bringing two pears to his grave, putting one there for a some time and eating the other myself, because I don’t know how he would be able to enjoy it otherwise. Does that sound weird? And could it have been something that he was asking me to do?

A few months ago, I began doing tai qi. I heard a voice inside of my head speak to me, tell me to light a candle, then there was this burst of clear energy. No more dissociation, no more fatigue, no more overthinking. And in my mind, I “knew” it was an “ancestor.”

Eventually I started hearing voices and began arguing with those voices. I experienced a lot of Christian imagery. One weird thing that happened was some spiritual witchy woman came by asking if I “needed help” and I sorta screamed at her bc I don’t like ppl talking to me.

But this inner voice became malevolent. And that’s when fear began to override the calm energy. I’m not sure what happened at all. Can someone help?

I would just like to start this off by saying I have dyslexia and dysgraphia and might make a few mistakes.

It all started when I was in grade 4 or 5, were on a field trip to a place called Heritage park which is a replica of a old town that had very old houses from all over Alberta.

I was in a house with my group, as we were exploring I wondered into a room( Completely alone) and looked into a mirror when I felt this feeling. The best way I can describe it is when you are so upset to the point that it hurts your heart physically.I then got this image in my head, it was a woman with dark brown almost black hair in a white night gown, she looked like she was in her 20s. Then I felt someone behind me like someone pushing there body onto mine.

I ran out of that room screaming for my mom (who was the chaperone for our group) I don't think to this day that she believes me.

This has happened a few more times over the years but it has never been that strong.

I get this feeling of just pure dread and sadness then these images pop up into my head.

Im not looking to make this a paranormal story I just want to know if anyone can explain this.

I’m a beginner, so please set me straight if I’m astray 🙏

Ive never been able to sense anything beyond the material world, but after a few years of exploring my claires, meditating, grounding, and recently trying sitting in the power, I think I just had my first “waking” experience.

I had woken up early and was resting in bed before it was time to get up. I’m pretty sure I was awake and had been for some time before, but I really can’t say for sure. Suddenly (can’t remember why) I felt the need to sit up. When I did, I saw a man. He was midair over the bed, kind of glide-walking. He seemed to crouch over something at the foot of the bed, fascinated by what he found. He didn’t notice me. I didn’t feel fear or confusion. It felt normal and natural to be seeing him. If anything, I felt curious to know what he was looking at.

As soon as I realized what I was seeing, he disappeared.

Aside from the facts that he was not touching the ground, disappeared without a trace, and didn’t belong at all in my bedroom, I could tell he wasn’t “from here” because he didn’t really look solid. His clothes and skin had color, but they were kind of streaky, like how lights look from inside a rainy car window. There was a bit of a motion blur on his edges as he moved.

I feel excited, but also a bit confused. im not totally sure if I need to be practicing protection or shielding on a regular basis, or just if I see something malicious. Was I just dreaming? I really don’t think I was asleep, but I’m not sure. can someone more experienced weigh in?

I was told by one of spirit guides that music would help me connect.

Unintentionally, I was listening to The Postal Service album “Give Up”. I had the strongest communication experience I have ever had. I was able to connect with a spirit guide actively trying to get through to me. I think because of the music it was able to happen and it was a strong connection. Just like a tv antenna. After speaking with the guide, I cried, I laughed, and it felt like a spiritual / spinal orgasm.

And I got scared. And I journaled about the thoughts and feelings I was having prior to this.

Then i remembered the last significant experience I had about a year ago… I was listening to the song “Acceptances” by Lara Somogyi and Cyrus Reynolds.

Both of these music is electronic!!!!

Both have this constant flow vibration happening. My whole body responded. My medium abilities are a full body response.

I had just been thinking about my head and my heart.

My skin, my cheeks, my forehead, my hands, my belly, my toes, we can all feel it.

This is just love frequency stuff yall.
My spirit guide loved me in the living.
He was my angel on earth.
And he was able to connect with me now.
He had been dead over 10 years now.
And it was like - I could hear his voice so clearly.
I could see his face so clearly and I know it was hearing his voice that made it real. It made sense.

He has connected with me at least 2 times previously but it was more like a ping! Or “go here and do this”

This is weird guys.
I really just don’t want to feel alone.

Every night I hear spirits and i want to completely lost my gifts. anyone knows how?

not sure if this is the correct subreddit to post this on, so let me know if i need to put it somewhere else. I’m a 22 year old who has always been able to sense spirits, their emotions and whether or not they are good or bad. As a child,probably around the age of three, i was in my mothers bedroom with her when i saw an older man? maybe around 75-80 standing in the corner of the room. I asked her “Mom who is that man?” she looked out the window and asked “who?” i replied “no mom the man in the corner” and pointed to the corner of the bedroom where he had been standing but by the time my mom turned he was gone. The only other time i actually saw a spirit was when i was working. I work nights at a mental health facility for teenagers, many employees have said the grounds are haunted. The facility has been around since 1940 and unfortunately there have been a few deaths on the property. I’ve been able to hear spirits voices and have some communication with them. i’m not sure if i would say i’m a medium, but if i am does anyone have any advice on how i can strengthen my ability to communicate with spirits. Any advice is appreciated!

For starters and context, In the past from when I was a teenager to now as someone who is 23, have been experiencing weird things, whether I am being contacted in my dreams specifically dead people, Mostly my loved ones that I have known that passed away, and once a dream of a voice of a woman that was experiencing something that feels to be depressed telling me “She lived for nothing.” When I tried to say “That’s not true, you lived for something.” I have awoken from my sleep. It got to the point where I would wake up from my sleep from time to time hearing voices or feeling something touch my body. There was a time that I was being touched and it resulted me having an automatic reaction of this feeling of bravery yet anger, after that happened it resulted in me feeling an unbearable pain where I was touched which was my stomach, I had this happen to me a few times recent is 2024 I had to go into the ER. I suffered from constant sleep paralysis. I heard a male voice in my head and it resulted in him screaming inside my head during my sleep paralysis. Overtime this has started to die down so I didn’t experience it as bad as it used to be.

Now in this current state, I have been having strong intuitions I can easily read people, I happen to just know things about them without any explanation. I will be honest I can’t tell you if I was intuitive before because I never notice anything I did unknowingly until this year when the puzzles are piecing. I was experiencing alot of repetition of numbers like 333 and 555 for I don’t know how long now. I recently moved out of the state I lived in, and started to feel closer to spirituality and witchcraft since then. I want to learn everything I could about it, due to this I realized so many things about myself. About my weird interactions, dreams, just knowing things, and possibly interacting with spirits in a way. From August of 2026 to now In October of 2026 I have been feeling so much that I can’t explain, A sudden realization, A weird Euphoric feeling all over my body as well as feeling as if there could be energy on my body, the absolute urge to strengthen my abilities, the willing to learn and be better as a person and as someone who wants to seek answers.

In conclusion for this post, I am seeking answers and insight, I want to understand myself better. I genuinely don’t understand how to identify or understand if this is who I am as a person. I just really need help and I feel a sense of urgency of understanding and learning. I want to grow and be better. I wonder if I unlocked something in me when I was a teenager. So, as we all know, unfortunately there are a number of people who claim to be mediums, psychics, etc, who are in it only for the monetary gain and don't have the ability whatsoever.

So, my question is, to those that visit mediums, go to event nights and whatnot, what are some ways youve found that have worked for you to figure out if they are legit, or charlatans?

For me, I don't give answers to leading questions, or don't allow them to lead on from my answer. (For example; if they ask something like "who is a male that recently passed in your life?" I don't straight up give an answer, a name, or a relationship link as I feel that's a very broad question that anyone could build on depending on your response). In the same respect, I dont give any information myself, i wait for them to pull something. Usually something that not many could know, something unusual, then I'll go from there.

Ive also a few times, written a word or drew a small doodle on a piece of paper, put it in my pocket and asked for anyone on the other side to tell the medium what the word or doodle is, before leaving to go see the medium in question. That way, if the medium I am seeing mentions this, I know there's a high chance theyre genuine and legit as theres no way for them to know such things.

However I feel these are probably quite...popular ways(?) That people use to figure these things out. So i was curious to see if anyone else has any other tips/things they do that has worked for them. No matter how strange or weird they may be, im just genuinely interested in other people's strategies! 💜

So, whether youre someone who regularly visits mediums, or even a medium yourself who has ways to suss these people out - id be super interested to hear in your responses! 💜

A few months ago a bunch of stuff started manifesting like crazy and ever since then I’ve been experiencing really weird feelings and thoughts. A reiki professional told me I have entity attachments but other than that I have no idea what any of this means.

A Medium told me that spirits don't experience time like we do. They live in the eternal 'now' . Past,present and future into 'now'. How come that's even possible to understand? I don't get it

When I was younger, I feel like I was more gifted. I was able to catch on to languages at a fast rate, and I would hear someone constantly calling my name. When I would ask my mother if she called my name, she would always deny it. I would also see faces at night that would scare me, as well as my tv when I’d wake up in the middle of the night would broadcast some type of slave movies in black and white.

Since then the only ability I’ve kept is my dreams. I can go to sleep sometimes and dream then what I dreamed about comes true the next day. I was also told when I got my palm read in my youth that I had psychic abilities.

How do I start tapping into these abilities and strengthening them? How does one get into mediumship and such? Is it by meditating or something else? I would greatly appreciate someone teaching me how to hone my abilities. Thank you.

I’m a 37 year old male who has started a sobriety journey from drugs a few months ago. Since the initial withdrawals have worn off I have been having some odd experiences that mirror things that happened when I was younger.

Since I was young I’ve remembered dying in red water. When watching a war movie in my teens I saw something about Normandy in WW2 and felt an extreme….connection, is really the only way to describe it. I was naturally inclined to interests in the paranormal but not scary things. I read so many things about ghosts and hauntings but was never afraid. I always had issues with my ears ringing but chalked that ip to getting tubes in my ears as a young boy. It isn’t always both ears, mostly left or right and they occur when I happen to be thinking about people I have lost.
I had “imaginary friends” as a kid but I knew they were invisible. It was more like a feeling of being watched and I would just talk to whoever was there like they were my friends.
In my teens I started using psychedelic drugs and until recently have had a fairly peaceful existence without any odd occurrences aside from an occasional prophetic dream that I chalked up to a coincidence. The most striking was a woman in a room who told me to tell an acquaintance she was ok. I later told this person and described the woman who remarked that it was her daughter who had passed a few years earlier. I’m an atheist so assumed it was once again coincidence.
All was quiet until 2022. I lost 3 people in quick succession. My grandfather died, my friend committed suicide, and my older brother murdered his wife. My wife and I were very close to her and messed me up for a while until recently. There have been odd coincidences regarding things she enjoyed, animals, and butterfly’s. My wife thinks it’s her. After her death I became heavily involved with drugs to numb the pain.
Since becoming sober a few months ago the ringing in my ears has returned and dreams so vivid about people who have passed on that they feel like more than dreams. The most recent regarding staying in my late grandmothers house and her voice coming out of a bubbling tank of water. Her voice was faint and sounded younger. I kept asking “grandma can you hear me?” And she replied “I’m no longer your grandmother, I’m your guardian.” There have also been a lot of things moving in my house and yesterday I was physically pulled by my shoulder while sitting on the couch. I’ve been feeling small depressions on my bed as I lay down to sleep as well.
I can’t help but think I may be sensitive in some way but try to rationalize the experiences as my brain chemistry readjusting to a life without drugs but I can’t rationalize the things happening to my wife as well.
Any help or advice would be appreciated. If I am sensitive I’d like to dive further into the experience. Not for monetary gain but to heal myself. Thank you all so much.

humans are often said to be guided once their souls leave their bodies and are said to be welcomed by their loved ones; is it the same for animals?

I am finally admitting to myself that I have an awareness of myself and the world and people around me (‘s thoughts, feelings). Very empathic energetic senses/clairsentience i assume. But i like don’t know what it is? Like i can see through things often. Its intent and emotional state/desire/yearn, history, sometimes i can feel people’s pain or just get this icky sensation.

It feels purposeful? Like I kinda try to control myself even though I sense so much and I end up way less relaxed than I intend. Kinda like the classic “just act normal”. I have questions for people because I sense something and I want to understand them. I’m good with my hands and can sense people’s internal through touch.

I’m kinda tired of trying to act like it’s something else and wanna use it for what it is. Can someone tell me what that thing is😂😂

Do souls have the ability to follow you wherever you go or do they just get stuck in a house or something?

To start this off, I would Like to say that I dont believe im the most spiritually connected person. In my family there are a few people with abilities or just things that separate them from the rest. My older sister can read people in a way and has dreams and feelings about people and knows something bad is going to happen way before they actually come true. My grandma is said to have a cursed tongue (its called something else in Spanish) which means whatever she says ends up happening especially if its bad, lastly is my aunt shes rather knowledgeable about zodiacs and other things we call her a witch because she carries very heavy energy that tends to be very negative. She can manifest things that she wants and tends to have good luck (might have to do with her bday). So I want to know how did you guys figure out you had abilities or that you were different than others. And how do those abilities affect you. As well as the gradual development of these abilities.

Im curious if anyone else also experiences this. I just drink black coffee, and I’d say maybe 40% of the time (so not every time) I quickly go into this hyper state where I need to be alone, then I’ll talk out loud to myself in a whisper and what I’m saying always gives me deep insight either about myself or others, or life in general. Sometimes I get insight about how to manifest (like what works best for me specifically not what is normally taught), what my main focus at the time should be, solutions to issues I’m currently having etc. I’ve started recording myself during these states so I can remember what I’m saying. I’m not sure if I’m channeling my higher self, my spirit guide, or some other external entity, but whoever it is, they are very wise and want to help me. Everything said makes sense and has the vibration of love. Nothing said has ever raised suspicion or made me think this is a spirit trying to harm me or feed me false beliefs/information.

It’s interesting because it’s not every time and I don’t drink coffee regularly. Half the time when I do drink coffee I don’t experience this state and don’t even really experience that much of a boost in my energy. The other half of the time this happens so I think maybe something about coffee gets me at a certain vibration that makes it easy for whoever this is to get through to me (and so I assume when I out of nowhere want to drink coffee, it’s because they have something to tell me)

I channel regularly and receive downloads a lot without any substance as well (but the main way for me is through dreams) but it’s the information I speak specifically after drinking coffee that is very unique and makes me think it’s a specific being I don’t know much about. Plus, this being speaks through me while with others it’s more like another person in the room just talking to me.

When I was around 3–6 years old whenever I walked down this hallway at night I would feel compelled to close my eyes, and the moment I did, I was transported into a completely black, empty void. I would find myself standing in the centre of this space, surrounded by tall, dark figures.

They seemed almost like a council of some sort. They would repeatedly shout at me to say sorry, even though I had no idea what I was supposed to be apologising for.

Eventually, I would say sorry, and only then could I open my eyes and return to my normal surroundings. I would then run back towards my bedroom.

This happened repeatedly, every time I went down that hallway at night. It wasn't just a one-off experience.

I was afraid of the dark at that age, so I'm open to the possibility that it was my imagination but at that age I hadn't done anything wrong.

I'm curious whether anyone here has encountered similar experiences or knows of any spiritual, psychic, or folkloric interpretations of dark figures appearing in a void and demanding an apology.

I'm not claiming it was paranormal. I'd just ike to hear different perspectives.

My ex-girlfriend was always extremely worried that my drinking habits might eventually kill me.
Recently, she accidentally crossed paths with a psychic who suddenly started speaking to her without being told anything. The psychic said she sensed deep pain in her heart because she is still in love with or and advised her to stop contacting her ex-boyfriend ( without mentioning wich boyfriend but I am the recent)
She also said he might kill himself years from now, but it wouldn’t be my ex’s problem because we wouldn’t be together anymore. She never mentioned suicide or a specific cause of death.

My question: Could the psychic have somehow picked up on my ex-girlfriend’s deep fear that I might die one day and reflected it as a prediction? Or can psychics genuinely predict someone’s death without meeting them?

Update ! 🚨🚨. My ex-girlfriend contacted the person again and admitted she might have misunderstood the original prediction.
This person, who doesn’t do psychic readings professionally, now says, “We can never know what can happen in the future” and “He will not die bc you making a choice to break free.”
She also calls me narcissistic and manipulative despite never meeting me.
I’ve never had suicidal thoughts and love life.
