I honestly want to love the square nails on me but then I scratch and stab people and my kitties accidentally. Round just functions better for me. I am noticing the longer I grow them the more "off" my shape seems to me. So next reset day I plan to draw a horizontal line across the nail to make sure my cure starts the same length. (Not sure if that makes sense) Ive been polish free for the last month and just using jojoba oil to keep my nails healthy. When I do file i use a glass file.

I was going to do a chop after October was through but I was really hoping to keep the length for Halloween 💔 should I embrace the gay and just keep these two short or should I just accept defeat and cut them all short? I was so happy with my length and shape :’)

Back in 2013, when I was at the very beginning of my venture into collecting polishes, I was visiting my Dad in California and did a polish haul (last picture) from a bunch of different stores we don't have in Canada. I picked up several iconic polishes, including China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy (best pedi colour ever) and Ruby Pumps, ORLY's Sparkling Garbage, 2 of Milani's "3D Holographic" shades (some of my very first holos), the OG Seche Vite, and of course the star of this post: OPI's OPI...Eurso Euro.

A few years later, I noticed a pattern where I would wear this polish at the end of September/beginning of October to "bring in" the fall season. Since then, I've tried to wear it around the same time every year. I know I've definitely missed some years, but here is a collection of manicures I've worn through the years with this stunning polish starting with the most recent all the way back to my very first manicure with it!!

Side note: the evolution of my watermark cracks me up every time 😆

I usually keep my thumb nails shorter for texting but I SNAPPED this one off and it made me sad. I use polish to try to protect them but I am wearing them natural today!

Gave myself a quick manicure to clean up the free edges and square them ever so slightly. You can see the subtle differences in the before-and-after GIFs at the end.

Here's what my nails looked like right after I chopped them, and then here's what they looked like two weeks post-chop. It took just under 2 months for my nails to reach the minimum length requirement, which was an interesting discovery. I've never really paid attention to how fast they grow, so it was fun to see how long it'd take!

So I’ve been pretty happy with my progress on my nails, so healthy and happy from how they’ve been previously. This is the longest they’ve been but I’ve been thinking that my nail beds are too short to have long nails. Well, my boyfriend basically told me that there’s “too much white part and not enough of the pink part” today so that basically solidified that my nail beds are too short for long nails. Is there something I can do to help them balance out? Grow my nail beds more to be longer? Anything? I know they can be shaped and I’ve been practicing how to but I’m not very good at the moment.

made it ~8 months with no breaks with the goal of having long and pretty wedding nails. just painted tonight and my wedding in on Saturday. I only use the dazzle dry nail system. this color is 3 coats of ‘Breathe Free’ milky white.

Kbshimmer aim to breeze 4 coats. Next time I’ll use a blurring base.
