Alberta is Forever Canadian
cbc.caNo need for Canadaās only biprovincial city to have separation anxieties. Lloydminster remains partially Saskatchewan, partially Alberta, definately Canadian.

Facebook is unhinged so posting here.
Thereās a movement on Facebook that is going to city council asking to name a road in town after Eugene Sequin, the former owner of me tire who passed away in a car crash a few weeks ago.
I personally donāt agree with this, given the circumstances of the crash, and a few others donāt either but are heavily attacked on Facebook for saying other wise. For those who donāt know, he was on an interstate in the wrong lane at the time of the crash, tragically Eugene drove head on into a 24 year old young man from North Dakota who was on his motorcycle heading home from a concert, the 24 year old, whoās name is Ayden, did not survive. In fact, he was struck so hard by Eugene that his family states that his helmet was ripped clean off his head. Another vehicle was struck as well by Eugeneās car which also injured two more people.
I get mourning a loss of a community figure, a small buisness owner, especially in a community the size of Lloyd, but we really need to acknowledge that another family in another country is now grieving the loss of a son, brother, nephew etc because of the actions of someone from our community. Had Eugene survived, the headlines would have changed from us mourning the loss of a community member to āLloydminster man facing jail time for vehicular manslaughterā.
We can mourn, pay respects, but we gotta stop acting like he was the only victim and to name a street after him feels like a massive disrespect to a hurting family who no longer has their son because of Eugene. Again posting here cause dead ass already seen people doing death threats on Facebook when someone made a post about the same thing earlier.

Does anyone know of yarn shops that carry premier parfait chunky? It's so expensive to have shipped.

Just looking to get feedback and opinions from anyone who's installed a residential solar co-gen system.
- Have you been happy with the solar panels and system?
- Has your bill dropped accordingly? How did it compare to the sales pitch?
- Is there anything you would do differently or change?
Thanks!

Are there any rentals or exchanges for cross-country ski gear (boots, skis, poles, clothes) in Lloydminster? I'm new to the area and interested in trying cross-country this winter, but I don't want to purchase all new gear for a sport I may not end up liking due to the cold.
I'm guessing the Nordic club may be the best place for used clothing, but maybe a few stores in town offer seasonal rentals? I'm 5'3, 130lb, typically women's medium, boot size US 6 / 6.5.
Thank you in advance!

Iām talking a proper indoor one, not another seasonal outdoor one. We are sitting at a little over 30,000 in town with another ten thousand or so within a 30 minute drive radius around Lloyd, that just way too many people for one pool to service. It seems like every time I go to bioclean itās always at capacity, and when itās not itās closed for maintainence, we are one wreck or breakdown away from Lloyd having no pool at all. I grew up in a city that has 6 pools currently for 115,000 people, that works out to one indoor pool per 19,000 ish people, weāre almost at 35 in town and have 1, I think it just needs to change and would go a long way to make this town better for families.

hi! iām thinking about going to weaver park after dark in lloydminster with my boyfriend, and i was wondering how it works when you book tickets.
do you go through the haunted trail with other groups of people, or is it just you and whoever you booked with? also, is it actually worth it since iāve heard itās only around 20 minutes long?
if anyoneās been before, iād love to hear what itās like and whether you enjoyed it! thank you!!

Good day everyone, was just wondering is Lloydminster a good place to look for office administration work (administrative assistant, receptionist, office administrator) there are not a lot of postings so I was wondering if it's okay to do walk ins to businesses in the city and drop off resumes. Was wondering what people in the city think about how accessible office work is.
