Discussion Castles everywhere!
But just not the ones we want...
Lego seem to be have a castle in so many different themes. It obviously isn't just old castle heads that love them. But is this saturation of castles stopping an actual dedicated new castle theme?
Has Lego found that licenced castles sell more? Not just talking about harry potter and lotr, but also Disney and One Piece etc.
Has the current 3in1 castle been a commercial success? This set got me back into Lego as I felt nostalgic when I saw it and bought it for my 7 year old son.
Im not that fussed personally on buying more large castle sets (I have LKC and both the recent 3in1s and like building my own). What I would spend money on though are;
- Battle packs for the new factions
- More 3in1 type stuff around the £100 and below mark, I love the versatility. A siege 3in1 would hit the mark.
- some nice clever small builds like peasant houses, farm related, wolf pack cave... other unique ideas they can think of at the 500-1000 piece point.
All this could come under the theme 'Lego Medieval' or 'Lego Castle' I know I havent said anything particularly new but come on, surely it's an instant win.
A 3in1 siege set to go with a 3in1 castle and some battle packs for good measure. That's hours and hours of fun right there.
