Which programming field should I focus on

I know web development a good amount (eg backends: Laravel, Rails, Django, Springboot

and for frontend I know React)

but people say it's over saturated and going to be replaced with AI

so I think it's not a good choice

then what programming fields do you recommend?

actually not only programming field but anything related to technology

Thank

There’s been a lot of reports of Network Engineering becoming more and more needed due to a large wave of retiring people.

May be the perfect time to slide yourself in there!👀

I wouldn't throw away what you already know. Laravel, Rails, Django and Spring plus React is a lot of breadth, and the crowded part of web dev is junior "build a CRUD page" work, not people who go deep. Pick one backend stack and add the stuff around it that still needs someone who understands what's going on when it breaks: databases and query performance, deploying and running things (Docker, one cloud provider, logs and monitoring), auth and security basics. That moves you toward backend, platform or DevOps roles, which build directly on what you have instead of starting over. If you do want something different, look at the job listings where you actually want to work first and work backwards from what they ask for, instead of picking whatever is hyped this month.

You don’t need to abandon web development; pick one stack and go deeper. Skills like database design, security, observability, deployment, and debugging production issues transfer across fields and are harder to reduce to “build a CRUD app.” If you want to explore beyond web, try a small project in networking, embedded systems, or data engineering before committing—what you enjoy working on matters more than guessing which field AI will leave untouched.
