Really enjoyed all the backstage talks and the comms too, I believe in the mental this team has going into Worlds. Also Saint coping with humor that TF game was really hilarious "ok my hands bugged" and later trying cheering up isles by telling him stfu! really got me

apart from dhokla looking mega depressed at the end the team vibes looked surprisingly good and Inspired didn't seem tilted at all. They were all encouraging towards each other and Inspired was even taking responsibility. This did wonders for my belief in them at Worlds shoutout LYON content team

I hope he isn't too hard on himself, he just needs to remember that he is the man built for the bright lights and mentalize that he'll have a great showing at Worlds

Maybe hopium but I think the team's floor is reaching quarters, for the ceiling I don't know... I think they have the potencial to surprise us all for sure

The expectation is quarters… floor implies that that is the worst they will go as a team.
For example, I think T1’s floor is Quarterfinals.

I think he knew they were fucked when game 4 came down to TL making a mistake and not Lyon outplaying them.
He pretty much admits it after game 2, he thinks TL is better but hopes that they can out teamfight.

If there’s one good thing about LTA disaster is Lyon. An org with a co-owner who provides the money and one co-owner who actually really cares. You love to see it.

Finished watching it, my feelings on this are pretty mellow. I have a pretty comfortable understanding of Lyon at this point and they reacted mainly how I expected them to.
Dhokla and Isles continue to be the players that are harshest on themselves. I think all of them hold themselves to a high standard, but you can see that Dhokla and Isles both take it really hard when they fuck up a game. Dhokla in particular seems to take it very badly when he gets slammed in lane.
Maybe the editing cut out a lot of the talk about mechanical play, but it seems that teams do not really consider mechanical miss plays as this horrifying thing that should never happen. There was no call out on Saint not flashing Qiyana combo, nor was there a call out on the troll as fuck Skarner ult on the Galio, and they don't even mention the missed Gnar ult. More than likely it is because the margins are so thin everyone knows it is more prediction than reaction.
The big thing I am reminded of watching this back is Jose plays SO fast. Like Inspired said, TL didn't fo anything unique or special. Their macro has some aspects of MSI play-ins T1 which makes sense since they specifically aimed to steal that. The thing TL does better is they play faster. Not saying they accelerate the game, specifically when they decide to do something they just do it. I think what works best for them is they just center themselves around Jose going crazy or Core making a call.
I think the team, player wise, looks fine. They all seemingly get along, they just have strong egos and high expectations for themselves. Inspired is a touch egotistical, but nothing excessive. My biggest worry is their team meetings. The coaches don't feel like they have authority in the team. Reignover is trying to give feedback and Inspired just demands to be listened to and discussion stops. Again, this could be editing, but that creates an environment where feedback becomes impossible. Reignover doesn't really seem to mind it, but Rigby in some frames seems like it sorta gets to him. Especially when Inspired is constantly calling the drafts shit and unplayable.
I think going into Worlds this team either bounces back, or they don't do any damage and this Worlds turns out to be pretty disappointing as an NA fan. It really comes down to can Dhokla in particular regain his confidence and can Lyon clean up their comms. What I think this team REALLY needs is an analyst who can just tell everyone what their job is and let them focus on that. Their gameplay looks so bogged down with mental stack. Especially Dhokla. He is too worried about winning lane that he ends up not being in a position to do his actual job.

I'm glad to see Reignover encouraging Dhokla to be more vocal. Dhokla has his weaknesses as a player, but you cannot deny that he has good game/teamfighting instincts.

lyon content is amazing as they show actually interesting discussions and what the players are thinking about moments in the game and what they think about matchups and drafts.
way too many teams scared of giving micro advantages and just makes all their content so bland and boring.

As an EU (FNC) fan, these LYON vids are the best western content we've had in years. Inspired is truly challenging Jankos for the title of the GOAT western jungler. I'lll always support EU, but I'll support LYON as my secondary team.

This is worth the watch. Lyon is putting out really compelling content. This somehow managed to drag me out of the pit that C9 dug for me.
