I thought Nocturne was going to be nerfed enough to get him out of perma ban My pick ems had Qiyana taking up that slot

He's kinda just good because of how the game works right now. Aside from outright tower dives you don't actually gank a whole lot, and Nocturne has the easiest time ganking a lane after 6. He's also one of the strongest junglers early game, so he can contest camps easily and will win almost every 1v1 if played properly.

While the 20s nerf will matter in some situations, often times you aren't actually ulting straight off CD. He trades that reliability for being a complete sack of shit late game, but most junglers aren't very useful late game in pro play anyway.

i actually checked before picking and he got like -20 seconds for his ult at rank 1, which in coordinated play is a joke

no damage nerfs, no changes to items he builds so i ended up choosing him

yeah i looked at presence stats after he got the nerf and he was still up there with cassio but cassio got nerfed again so i picked him instead
