Nah game 3 was Furia having a win con on the draft, to scale late and use the two tanks to walll C9s damage. And they simply executed it. They even conceded the soil point drake with confidence they can still stall the game long enough, and they were correct. They hit the point the draft simply wins itself if they don't run it down side lanes, and they didn't.
Tutsz also played the fights exceptionally well on the Viktor

C9 will never close a game out decisively, just pick scaling vs them and it's impossible to lose. See their losses g4 to TL and Lyon as well

Exactly and this comes down to having bad macro team communication. No one on the team is good enough to shotcall these mid-late game scenario and keep the team on the same page, especially when C9 keep trying high difficulty team comps.
We saw it in game 5 vs KC and game 3 vs Furia. Their opponents had simple "see carry kill carry" and it just worked.

FURIA have unironically figured out the gameplan, just draft pure scaling and regardless of how bad the early game goes, C9 will do absolutely nothing in the mid game until they get completely outscaled.

They had this issue in playoffs where when the game goes late they just lose. The KC series showed that this issue carried to worlds and Furia is just exploiting this so yes.

Well besides throwing leads this is the other thing c9 is good at, making games look completely unplayable while seemingly not making many massive mistakes. (Yes ofc you can point to mistakes they made but somehow they make it feel like even if they play perfect it's still unplayable). They do this in NA too, they will be dominating a playoff series one week then the next two they just get 3-0ed and eliminated while seemingly not even running it down that hard but they just make the games look impossible

I really don’t know what scrim bubble C9 has been in but what they are NOT is a team that’s actually good so playing the more complicated comp is a very stupid choice.
In LCS playoffs they were the ones drafting scaling straight forward comps compared to Lyon and TL who were drafting hard to execute stuff because they can actually pull them off.

There's no individual player gap, only Thanatos was gapping and he got countered, and Furia is playing very disciplined game. Tatu on Seju and Cho has been really solid

I'm convinced the way to beat c9 is just pick scaling or just blitz them. They play so fucking slow.
Like I swear this playstyle is ass, against another slow team like Gen G, they will win that. They will out macro you and win. Against an aggressive team, they get ran over early because they sit on their hands. A team like HLE or BLG will just run you over and snowball.
Against worse on paper teams than them, it's bad too, they play so slowly that it gives the weaker team a shot to make it volatile and snowball off a chaotic early game OR they will let the weaker team just sit and out scale them and win by default because they never push any early lead they get themselves.

I'm sure people will meme about the draft, but I feel like C9 at least could win if they were aggressive with the comp that needs to go in on 1-2 items. The real problem is C9's team feels incapable of playing outside of a slow, passive style. They didn't go into Soul with a large enough lead and then they also played the Soul fight incredibly poorly. Vulcan flashing in with Alistar was terrible.
They should just play like Jinx/Smoulder the next two games. Late game is their only win con.
