This is my first tattoo. I was thinking about it for a few weeks but the other day I woke up and decided to just go and get it done. The lyric is from River of Deceit by Mad Season, such a beautiful song. What does everyone think?

I made a short video (about 4.5 min, in Italian with subtitles if you want to turn them on) on Alice in Chains and Dirt. It isn't really about the drugs, it's about Layne and Jerry's friendship, the two voices leaning on each other, and Rooster, written by a son to understand his father and sung by his friend.

It's a small channel, so honest feedback is welcome, especially if I got a detail wrong.

I thought nutshell was my favourite but I actually think it’s down in a hole. It’s perfect. I don’t know if Layne ever realised how well he come across doing unplugged and I know he wasn’t well at the time but it’s absolutely beautiful. I love sludge factory as well, even with all the cock ups. I so wish they’d done rotten apple

This are a few versions of what she gave me, I think she killed it.

Please Excuse the water mark, she’s had people claim her work in the past so I asked her to add it.

I wanted to reach out to the subreddit because I am doing a tribute to Layne and just AIC as a whole and I wanted opinions on this specific section. I want to do Layne justice here, but maybe where I’ve been listening to it over and over I don’t like the sound. Is there anything that I’m lacking or needs fixed? Also to note, I’m not trying to imitate Laynes vocal style. Any recommendations or tips will help!

How lucky are we that the sound men back then would film whilst doing their job so we get this footage 😍 I think rotten apples is my favourite song by them I absolutely love it

22/8/1989 you can hear in early performances laynes pronunciation of Me later turns to meyyy

Facelift recording sessions we die young

Just come across this from 6 years ago.. started to watch Corey Taylor attempts at singing man in a box, however talented Corey Taylor .. and someone I like - is he sounds so shockingly average singing this.. just incredible to me how unreal Layne was when you get to hear other people try and do the same song. To me there’s no one close and can’t imagine will be ever.

RIP Layne 🕊️

Only because I got this overwhelming feeling that Laynes mother might just be out for a buck and maybe they didnt have a very good relationship

Hello all.. sorry if this appropriate for this page..
at the grand age of 39 has discovered aic.. more so discovered layne and the awful way he died. I understand it’s about the music and my other half who loves them says it sad but it’s about to music.. he doesn’t dwell on that..
I get it but I feel absolutely consumed sadness over his life and more so the ending of it 😞 I’m on day 3 of just intense feeling of depression and to be honest I feel distraught.. I’ve read this is social grief and hyper fixation it’s a thing more so common in women who have ADHD which I more than likely have.. just wanted some words of advice that I’m not a nutter and I’m not alone it’s dramatic but I can’t help my brain

ig shineonlayne graced us with an extremely rare / unseen photos of layne playing guitar 💙 always warms my heart when new ones surfaces! i can’t really tell what year this is is from, perhaps late 1991
